Stabbed to death?

Hi, I'm kind of new around here. I've been having a lot of increasingly dark dreams recently that are unusually vivid. Last night in my dream I was stabbed to death and was wondering if that means anything. I posted the dream in my DJ if you want to read it, it's the only one so far.

That is indeed a very dark dream. I think the fact that your mom and sister are there may indicate that the negativity in your mind may have something to do with a family situation, or anyway a situation that you perceive as very personal. Stabbing is a more personal way of killing than shooting for example. Now keep in mind that dreams exaggerate and often use symbolism and draw connections, so "killing" in a dream is not really about death in real life. It may be more like when one says "this argument we keep having is killing me," where one does not actually mean it literally but rather that it is difficult for one and stressful. The fact that you do not fight back in the dream may be an indication that you are experiencing stress which you are not able to respond to or unwilling to cope with perhaps?

It would help if you told us a bit about what is going on in your waking life, what issues are on your mind right now, if you want us to help brainstorm how the dream might relate to what is going on. However, based just on this dream I would expect that there is some very personal issue in your life that is stressing you out and that you are not coping with well yet.

Or of course you could have watched a gangster movie and sympathized with the film character too much, that also happens.

oh and as always, I can be completely wrong, and if none of this sounds right, please disregard it.

I have a lot of stressful things going on right now. I'm quite certain the problem is my current social life. I just graduated high school and the number of friends I have now is dwindling. I think the dream is relating to one friend in particular, who I feel is possibly leading me down a bad path. Killing me so to speak. Now that I think about it he closely resembles the guy who was killing me in my dream. I think I've come to a conclusion about my family being there as well. Being that I'm a small guy by nature, I often wonder if I'd be able to protect the people I care about from situations like this. I obviously could not in this dream. I'm glad it was just a dream. Thanks for helping me shed some light on this dream Joanna.
