I keep having really really depressing dreams?

Idk but I just wake up feeling like crap... For example the other night I had a dream that this guy I really liked was rude to me and told me I was worthless and chose his girlfriend over me. Then the rest of the dream I just kept watching them be romantic together and I was all alone. Then last night I had a dream that we were taking family pictures, but everyone forgot to include ME in the pictures so I was just off to the side and cut off and no one even cared. And the pictures were taken in the pool and all of the girls looked so pretty and the one picture out of like 100 that I was in I looked so horrible and ugly. In another dream everyone was talking about their amazing love life and about all of their amazing and cute boyfriends, and then they teased me bc I have only had one boyfriend and he wasn't attractive at all. I am worried because the past one or two weeks I have been having depressing dreams like this EVERY NIGHT! And maybe they don't sound too bad but my emotions in the dreams are like extremely depressive and almost painful and I just feel worthless and hopeless during them.. And I keeps having these dreams!! What should I do? Why do I keep having these dreams? I mean yes I have self esteem issues but I have never had so many dreams about it and they are all so realistic and painful and get me in a bad mood for the rest of the day.. Help what do I do to make these stop.... What do they all mean..??

I have had lots of terrible dreams in the past. If there is a recurring sort of theme, or similar feeling to them, you can find a way of reacting in those scenarios that is conducive to peace and contentment, and go with it. For me, it was dreams of being brutally murdered. I decided to just develop a positive mind of caring, concern, and wishing to give happiness to my attacker. The results: I still get brutally murdered in dreams on occasion, but they're now blissfully peaceful and no longer bad dreams like before.

I just probe deeper into why I don't like whatever that is. What's so bad about death? The uncertainty of what comes next. That is terrifying to me. But, I believe that whatever happens, I'll be better off if I face it with a positive mind of love, and that makes me happy, giving me the courage to confront whatever brings it upon me.

Just putting myself into your shoes with your sort of dream (I may be way off here, so take it with a grain of salt), it seems like being ugly, alone, and losing a great relationship partner are the main factors in the depressing feelings. Why are those depressing to me? I can't control how I look, and to be judged and shunned by something outside my responsibility is unfair. What if it continues for a long time? What if I'm always alone and without a satisfying relationship? Surely I would be miserable if things were like that. Then, because it's all happening, miserable depressing feelings are inevitable.

Now what is a different way of looking at that situation? If these people don't see past the surface level of things, then they're really not the best sort to be associating with anyway. If I stay true to my values, eventually things will line up and I will meet like minded people where we all appreciate each other on a deep level. Sure, I might be alone, ridiculed, insulted, and humiliated in the meanwhile, but it's just a transition phase into the much more rewarding group of people that are yet to come into my life. Then whatever difficulties they cause me are just a temporary price to pay for something totally worth the cost. Or, I would just look at everyone else more from their side, being happy that they're happy, and imagining how great they must feel to have such good conditions. I might even make jokes at my expense that play off their insults to see if I can get all of us to laugh together.

That's just some options for what I would do, there's surely countless different ways to relate to your situation depending on where you want to take it.

Thanks a lot, that's a really interesting way of looking at it. Changes my perspective on the dreams.. They are only painful if I let them be.

forgive me if im wrong. but it sounds like this maybe how you think of yourself in waking life and it's spilling over into your dreams. many times our dc's will reflect a felling we have toward something we didn't realize we had. in this case yourself. if this is true they are recurring more and more often cause you haven't changed the thoughts in waking life. think about how you talk to yourself, especially when you mess up. is this how you would talk to someone you love? sorry if I'm wrong, but if I'm right try to think Mora positively about yourself. start by thinking about the things you like about yourself and repeat those every morning in front of the mirror. then maybe Those meanies in your dreams will change their tune cause their wrong about you. sincerely hoped this helped

What if you could become Lucid in them? knowing that you've started having them more often maybe you could use that as a dream sign and become lucid and change everything. Id say next time you dream anything that triggers the emotions you stated that the dreams made you feel, ask yourself if you're dreaming. What you do when you become lucid would be your choice, though Stephen LaBerge states that when you face any kind of conflict in a dream you should become Lucid and face it. The methods he provides for facing it are 1. Show love to it. and 2. Fight it. Usually however the latter isnt the best choice. Many studies stated within Stephen LaBerges, "Exploring The World Of Lucid Dreaming" showed that when Dreamers faced conflicts in their dreams with love, the situation usually resolved itself, on its own. Check out the book for more on that, its pretty cool. Hope this helped.

      Goals:
-Become Lucid in every dream every night
      -Perfect the time dilation watch
-Continue to have a dream plan for most of my lucid dreams
