And Old Dream
I had this dream some time between 12-13 years ago. I was going outside, away from my house, kept going down the street... Then after some time I decided to return home. I cannot recollect what I felt in my dream while I was leaving my house (probably I was sad and disappointed, that's why I wanted to get away from all the confusion in my life, maybe?). Then, on my way back, as I reached my house there wasn't any house: It was huge building (It looked like The Dome of the Rock). In my dream this was covered in gold (I knew in my dream this was gold). The tiling (facade) I can say was similar (if not entirely the same) pattern, and also blue. I knew when I reached my home place--which was now the Dome of the Rock--I began crying, as in wonder, profound happiness, or exaltation. I felt some emotional release and protection, calmness too. I felt happy but differently happy than that one happiness that we have upon getting what we want. This happiness was a different feeling. I felt awe, protection, calm and love while I was standing in front of the Dome, which was in the place of my house. At first I felt a little confused and scared because there wasn't my house anymore, but upon seeing the Dome I had all those feelings.
When I woke up, I still had tears in my eyes, my heart was still beating faster than usual like after a deep sigh, and awe, or wonder for something. The tears were not out of pain or fear -- they were out of some form of love. :\
At that time I wasn't into discovering religions nor I knew about this Dome. I was around 15-16 years old. In short, I didn't have any serious concepts of religions, nor politics, nor anything.
So, what do you think about this dream... Anyone's got any clue?
Thank you so much for taking the time in reading this. :)

It's interesting that you remember a dream from 12-13 years ago. Must have been very profound.
The dream has primarily religious overtones to me. The Dome of the Rock is on a location at the intersection of 3 faiths: Judaism, Islam, & Christianity, & is a symbol of worship- giving worth/honor to something.
"In my dream this was covered in gold (I knew in my dream this was gold)"
Gold is a precious metal. Something that lasts (eternal symbolism) & is of great value.
"I felt happy but differently happy than that one happiness that we have upon getting what we want. This happiness was a different feeling. I felt awe, protection, calm and love"
This seems like a deeper experience than the things we can touch & see in this life.
Have you ever thought about the meaning of life & what happens after we die physically? This dream coming to your mind again may be a prompt to seek something that involves faith, is valuable, & gives protection, peace & love.
"Then after some time I decided to return home."
I think when you find this it will be like returning home, there will be a sense of "Yes, this is home", and "It's where I have always belonged."

Thanks. It was a profound dream. I had all sorts of feelings mixed into that one dream. Yes, I am still finding deeper meaning of life, since then. Great things happened after I had that dream, but also bad ones, which I'm trying to accept as lessons. On the outside I appear strong, but on the inside I can be "melted" by the right person. I have also felt the strong need to belong to a person for mutual support, and not this "you are smart, independent" type of BS today the public preaches.
Anyway, of course, there's more than this, but... that's for now. Thanks for responding to my post. :)

Dream interpreters often say that the house in the dream may represent the dreamer's mind. So you find your mind gone, you worry that maybe you lost it or have not been yourself, and then you return home to being yourself, and you find in place of your own mind a holy place, the power within (as a Christian I would call it the Holy Ghost, god within yourself), the realization that you are holy too.
