Wedding and Lizard

I had a dream that a coworker was homeless and I had told her to go to a catholic church and tell them and they might give her a place to stay... then I was in the church by myself it was beautiful all white and high ceilings just a gorgeous church. Then all of a sudden im all the way in the back of the church and there was about a 5 ft wall made out of rocks and there was crystal clear water and that just made the church even more gorgeous and from a far I see my homeless coworker with a female partner and next to them a straight couple and they were all getting married everyone was in white except my coworker she had a knee high fitted red dress .. I started wondering how they allowed a same sex marriage at a catholic church... after wondering I had seen that the water had gone up about a cm I wanted to move although the water was super still there was no waves or anything so I look to my right to try and get my wallet but right next to my wallet was a large deep dark green lizard I wasnt scared of the lizard attacking me but I was just very cautious since im not a reptile fan .. if someone can explain to me the meaning and btw I'm not catholic

What does homelessness represent if it is not literal homelessness? Home is a place where one feels one belongs, a place where one feels safe, a place where one loves and is loved. For some people religion can offer a place where they have a sense of belonging. For others marriage, love toward another human being. In that sense of the word we all need a home, love, safety. Without that we risk becoming cold blooded like a lizard.

I think I understand what you're trying to say ... so that rock wall may be my guard? But what does that steady clear water represent??

Water is often a symbol for the conscious or subconscious. So I wonder whether in your dream it represents clarity if mind? Perhaps the dream is saying that now certain aspects have become clear to you on some subconscious level?
