Can someone explain this to me .

:)One day when my son was around thirteen he took his father gun witch was loaded with blanc bullets and went in our garden ,there is always stray cats that I feed when I see them,so he shot one of them ,he said he never meant it but I knew otherwise because that night I dreamt that a cat came to me and was laying in our driveway she looked at me and we forgive your son because of you ,but tell to never do it again .and I woke up .when I went in to the garden later on I was so shaken because the cat was were I saw it in my dream .needless to say that I confronted my son ...threw the gun ...but I never forgot that cat .:)

There are a number of possible explanations. You chose one of them: you decided that because the cat was in exactly the same spot, this must mean that the other part of the dream must necessarily be correct as well, and thus your son did not accidentally shoot that gun.

It is however also possible that the only precognitive part of the dream was about the position of the cat. In my own experience my precognitive dreams have not been 100% precognitive in all ways, but just some, and often unimportant. We like to think that we can reliably predict the future, but that may be just wishful thinking. You might have combined that wishful thinking with your fear that this killing was not accidental, and arrived at a conclusion that may or may not have been accurate.

As a parent myself, if this were my child, I would be worried in two directions: what if you incorrectly accused your son of doing this deliberately and he may still resent that you trust a dream more than you trust him; however, if your interpretation was correct, and he did it deliberately, I would worry that taking away the gun would not be enough: harming animals is often a warning sign of even more serious issues.

Of course, even if you were accurate in your interpretation that he did it deliberately, this could have been due to your instinct based on your subconsciously reading his facial expressions and body language in waking life, and then you slept on it, and realized that you think this was not just an accident.

The cat being there confirmed for you that this was truth, but this does not necessarily mean that the (whole) dream was paranormal, although I believe it might have been.

If you are asking how precognitive dreams are possible. If you believe in God, consider that it could be a message from God. Alternatives include: time is not linear; our mind creates the world around us; statistical coincidence due to large numbers; telepathy and dream sharing from cat.

Hi Joanna, I'm glad that u have an interpretation to my dream ,but maybe I didn't make it clear but I didn't hear about the accident until I had my dream then I confronted my son and went to the garden and saw the dead cat ,sorry about that ,I don't know how to correct the thread ,so give me ur opinion I would like to hear from u as for my son he is afraid of my dream was a lesson to him ,now he stays away from cats or any other animal for that matter.for myself I a bit not sure about cat because they seem to look right in to my eyes like as if they are reading me or something I end up looking the other way to break the spell .try to make sense out of this non sense! Ok, that does change things quite a bit that you did not find out until after the dream about the accident!

Well, that sounds like a precognitive dream.

As for an explanation, as I said, could be a message from God, could be telepathic dream sharing cats, could be nonlinear time. Could be all kinds of stuff. I don't think anyone has an explanation for precognitive dreams why they happen - there is no evidence for one explanation or another.

All those of us who have had precognitive dream really know is that they do happen. We know that it is possible to dream of something and then wake up to a reality that confirms the dream. We know that because it has happened to us.

Hi Joanna ,yes that what I think aswell,but I had a lots of precognitive dreams,I will write them down soon ,I want you to read ,Premonition and tell me what you think if you don't mind ,but what I really want to know is why it happens to me so often ?sometimes I think I must be weird or something ,and the problem is that they always come true .:)
