Weird dream without variations

Unlike most of my dreams, everything seemed to take place in a line. None of that weird popping around stuff.

Someone tried to break in my house (it was my grandfather's place that I lived in). I took his gun and shot him a few times. But, he was only injured, it's like although I shot him 6 times only one bullet worked. Anyway, I felt bad for him so I let him and his (accomplice) girlfriend get a head start before I called the police. In between I gave him his gun back, and told him to come by the church if he wanted to straighten up. In the end, I actually stopped the police from getting him.
