      The girl

      Hey everyone,

Im new here but Im looking for some input.

I had a dream earlier today, well 2 to be exact. I work 3rd shift and earlier I took a nap for about 2 hours, then after the first dream an other 1 hour nap.

Im 21 years old, male, and have been dealing with high levels of stress.

Lucid dreams have failed me for some time and this was the first one in a while, and it scared me because I forced myself back to sleep to have another.

There was a girl, one Ive never met, never seen before in my life to my knowledge. I didnt even get a name from her, however i saved her life twice, in 2 different time periods.

The first dream was in either the wild west or frontier time in America. It was hazy but what i do remember was riding a horse into a town to see a man attempting to harm the girl we will call her.

After firing a revolver at the man, I went to her and found her hurt. I spoke to her and she was rude to me at first but then became like a scared child and wouldnt let go of me. I placed her under some stairs, up to a 2nd floor or balcony, to protect her from some gunfire that was begining. She begged me not to leave, but i rode away after the man who hurt her.

The dream blanks for a while and the next thing i remember was coming back to her. She was crying asking where i went, i appologized for leaving her and promised never to again. Still under the stairs i picker her up and began to take her some place. I look down at her crying and see blood, but it was not hers or mine. I assume it was the man who hurt her blood.

Then i woke up, reset my alarm and went back to sleep.

The second dream began in a much more modern time i cant place myself in, not the present but more recient, between 1970 to 2000.

She was now a frail and weak thing i happened upon the street, having delt with it I knew she was a heroine addict. Same thing, rude and against any assistance from me. But quickly turned opinion and became attached to me. It was another chaotic event, possibly a riot. I pick her up, calming her and explaining the danger she was placing her in.

Another dream fog and the last thing I remember was waking up in my current house. I walk up from my basement room, still the dream, to her unloading the dishwasher, attempting to kick addiction and preform normal tasks an addict wouldnt.

Really tripped me out, what do you guys make of this

I wonder whether the girl is stress personified? A part of you that bites the hand that feeds it, is angry at hat parts of you that save you, the klingy and addictive part of you? A part of you that feels abandoned even as you try to help yourself? A part of you that is part of your routine, trying to kick the addiction to stress, the chaotic part if you that you are trying to calm down?

I have known myself to thrive on stress because i feel I am almost 24/7. Ive had a rough spot in my life the last few years and ive worried very hard to position myself to succeed now, would it be my mind relieving myself of the past stress?

Could be. Though the meaning could also be different. One thing to keep in mind: it is your dream, in your mind, so any interpretation that is correct should sound right to you, and if it does not, then it is probably not the correct interpretation.
