Thread: Blackbird turns to glass and shatters?

Hi all, this is my first time posting on this site, but I was wondering if anyone could give any interpretations of a weird dream I've had at least twice (that I can remember).

I am standing outside a family member's (nan's) house talking to them. It is roughly midday judging by the lighting. There are lots of tall trees around which, now I think about it, is strange because there are no trees on the road my nan lives on. Suddenly I notice a blackbird and watch it fly past us and then behind a blue car on the opposite side of the road, but it doesn't appear on the other side of the car. I go to the car and walk around to the other side of it to see the blackbird dead on the ground with blood around its head. It looks as though it has turned into glass or some other fragile thing, as it is lying on its front and its right wing has completely snapped off and become separate from its body. However, both the wing and the bird's body are rigid, leading me to think that it has turned to glass. There are some other black shards of glass scattered around the body.

I feel upset by this as I love birds, having my bedroom, furniture and clothes with prints of them and I also have a hummingbird tattooed on my ankle.

This dream, although short, has left an impression on me and any suggestive analysis would be appreciated!
