I guess they mean you have a serious ongoing issue that you're living with, the keyword ongoing.

makes sense but i once had a recurring dream when i was about 8 where i was on the landing outside my bedroom then everything went dark and everyone in the others rooms disapeared. then i could hear a womens voice SCREAMING (the word banshee comes to mind) and it really freaked me out. i don't really see an issue in that, but i suppose it needs an outside view. any thoughts?

      World War II?

I guess the house represents yourself, you were outside so it may have to do with yourself exploring the outside world, or just beginning to. Suddenly you were alone and in the dark, obviously scared.
But the screaming woman takes centerstage. A banshee is a female spirit in Gaelic folklore believed to presage, by wailing, a death in a family!
It sounds lot like you feared there was going to be a death in your family.

If the banshee part is inaccurate then it may be a fear of leaving your family and going off into the world on your own.

The archetypical interpretation would be "fear of abandonment"

What else was going on in your life at the time?

I don't want to hear about the brain from someone that doesn't have one.
Nor do I want to hear about evolution from someone that hasn't evolved.

LOL, I just watched a program about WWII dam busters when I was humoring that you were 8 during the war and traumatized by the bombing of London.

Kimpossible I think the entire explaination is right there. There was a fear of abandonment just because his "mum" wasn't coming home from work. He was just 8 and sensitive to that. It's only a question of why she wasn't coming home and what he thought.
