      my sisters miscarried baby

hi my sister recently experienced a miscarriage at week 11/12. she now has a really pregnant looking figure. she has always said she doesn't want children but was happy after the initial shock of finding out she was expecting. we are really close and i have been really upset, more for the fact of what she has been through. i myself lost a baby 7 years ago at 7/8 weeks but that baby was a twin so continued on with a healthy single pregnancy. the other pregnant lady in my dream is an acquaintance from my daughters dance school. she is due any day now if she hasn't already given birth as she was measuring 4 weeks ahead.

my dream was that my sister had lost her baby but went on to give birth to two babies, one live and one still born. the baby who was alive was a boy and had red hair. she didn't want anyone to know that she had had a baby but then later put it on Facebook to tell everyone. while i was attending a early pregnancy clinic with her after the birth, i took my dog along and left her in a enormous gift bag at the front of the hospital after seeing a lady i know who was heavily pregnant in the same clinic who had a boxer dog with and her youngest daughter. she was at the clinic to have a manicure. i left the hospital without my dog but she was safely returned by a nurse who lived near by. later on my dog jumped off a three story balcony but wasn't harmed. the dream turned to my daughter visiting her old nursery and seeing an old class mate.

i woke up with severe heartburn which i had been experiencing prior to my sisters miscarriage. in my dream i was really anxious and upset for my sister but wanted her to enjoy her baby that was born alive and well. when my dog (german shephard, one year old) was in the dream i was very uneasy and crying at the events she played in the dream

thanks in advance for any help.

I have learned the pregnancy in dreams means "to be expecting something" (doesn't have to be a baby in real life), and giving birth in a dream to mean that these things come into fruition in waking life. With the fact that you sister didn't want children, but was happy (after the initial shock) of having a baby and one dying is signifying of this. The conception, and birth of this first child has gotten your sister rethinking the stance on not having kids. A maternal instinct is growing inside her, and your subconscious is picking up on it.

Dogs in dreams often resemble loyalty, and or true companionship. Sometimes they can mean instincts, but since both of these are tame dogs; I believe it to mean more of the loyalty. You know the love, and true companionship that comes with children (its your dog), and so does this other woman that you know (she has a dog), but your sister is missing a dog. This to me means that she is still learning this, but your and the people around you are opening her eyes. Your dog then jumped off a 3 story balcony but wasn't harmed, this to me is your subconscious mind is saying "despite the pain, she isn't any worse for the wear. The jump was more scary than it was 'hurtful'."

I see this dream as saying that you are seeing this situation out of what it really is. Sometimes things are given to us, and then taken away so that 1) we can have the want, and 2) we can do the work so that we are ready for it. I can see this as being very symbolic to your mind saying "everything will be alright", and "things happen for a reason".

The worry in your dream is showing your current waking feelings on the situation. The anxiety doesn't help the dream, it doesn't help the one child be born faster or healthier, or the other child to die. All it does is effect the way that you are perceiving the situation that is at hand. Your subconscious mind is showing you that your worry has no place here. Things happened as they were suppose to.
