Dog slightly bit me in my dream

Hi everyone! It's my first post here. Can anyone help me interpret my dream last night?

I dreamt that I was with my husband and we were vacationing in a house in a woodsy part somewhere. While we were walking in the woods, a greyish-white dog (its fur is a mix of white and black all-over its body) came running to me angrily then bit my left hand. I was able to pry it off immediately, and I was able to get a stick (looks like birch) while it was biting me then I hit the dog over and over until it let go and ran away.

I was left with teeth marks on my left hand, not bleeding. And I was calmly discussing with my husband that I need to get an anti rabies shot. Then I woke up.

Some details:
In the dream, I felt like I knew the dog. Like I've seen it somewhere before with a friend (can't remember who).

I'm a first-time mother to a 7 month old baby
Quit my job after giving birth to be a full-time mom
Previous work: violinist in an orchestra
Hobbies: painting and calligraphy
I got sick with pneumonia at the start of May, and I'm now better
I'm fond of dogs, depending on the temperament of the dog.
I have two bunnies at home. I'm a rabbit lover through and through.
