Can anyone help interpret my dream?
Hi Guys,
I'm new to this forum, and forums in general, so I don't particularly understand how this works. I really want a dream interpreted that I had last night, because ever since having it I feel it has some sort of strange hold over me. I feel I should probably introduce myself first, too.
My name's Annalise, I'm 16 and I am currently taking a leap year between school and college, in hopes to make some money first. However, my bank account is currently overdrawn, so go figure (outrageous spending habits are the cause). I'm an avid gamer, particularly Zelda, but I also enjoy watching Game Grumps (a YouTube channel of people who commentate games) because it makes me feel like I'm with other people, as I'm quite lonely during this gap year. I don't have many prominent features of myself really, only that if you saw me you may stereotype my appearance as a delinquent, but I can assure you quite the opposite. I feel strange including so much information about myself in one paragraph, but I feel it might be needed for the interpretation? ANYWAY
The dream itself was pretty simple, it's more the people in it that makes me ponder its meaning. I figure the best way to do this is to explain a little about each person first and then explain the dream.
The first, and least prominent person in the dream would be my manager, Matt. I haven't seen him in a while and there is no particular relationship with him, I really only see him as an authority figure. He's not strict, quite laid back, but can get stern sometimes. I can trust him and also make a few jokes with him now and then, but I don't think he's ever appeared in my dreams before. He isn't very prominent in my life, which is why I'm confused as to why he was in this dream.
The second person to mention is actually a member of the YouTube channel, Game Grumps. I have always found myself drawn to Danny and Arin when watching them, but it was actually Brian who showed up in my dream. He's an awesome guy, and I don't know much about him really. He is in a band with Danny (another Grump), he has a PhD and a young daughter called Audrey, whom he mentions often. He's also known for his very crude humour and is sarcastic most often. His appearance also didn't make sense to me in the dream as he isn't the first of the Game Grumps that comes to mind when I think of them. It might be worth watching a couple of videos with him in to get an idea of his personality, if that'd help you guys at all?
Thirdly, and most prominently, Dan. This ones a strange one. So there's a guy at work whom I have had a strange year with. It all started with him drunk texting me one night, and we progressed to talk virtually every night, him drunk or not, for around three months. People started to notice and he got called out on it alot (due to him being 25, and me being 16), so we ended up kind of having a civil argument (if there is such a thing) and we don't message each other anymore, though we do talk a lot a work, it's still awkward. He's aware that I liked him (not sure if he knows I still do) and it kills. As any stereotypical teenager with a crush, he tends to come into my dreams quite frequently. The thing that confused me is that this Dan would sometimes appear as the Dan from Game Grumps (who I am also infatuated with, probably as much). They don't look similar, nor do I think they act similar, hence my confusion.
Okay, so onto the actual dream. The entire thing is based in one room. I've never seen it before, but it's a really cosy living room, with a long sofa and huge TV, and has a more homely aesthetic rather than a contemporary one. I'm sat on the couch with all 3 people, playing video games. I'm on the end, sat next to Dan, who's next to Matt and then Brian. We're covered in blankets, and talking, though I do not remember the conversations, and playing video games. I'm hugging Dan's arm, with my leg placed over his knee, hugging into him. At one point Brian gets up, and I do the same to him, but realise that I can't just hug one of them so I try to hug both at the same time and place my legs over one of each of their knees.
The dream progresses and out of nowhere I remember that someone had the idea of playing a horror game, and part of me remembers everything changing for a split second to all of us being sat around a decrepit wood table, all chained to it by our wrists. I think this was due to me reading horror stories before sleeping though, to be honest. Though nothing referenced that particular scene. As I'm writing this I am starting to remember small things, but not very much. I may have walked out the room at one point to talk to my mum? But I can't remember exactly.
If I do remember anymore, I will update. I would also like to say I only slept for like an hour the night before and I slept for roughly 12 hours during this dream. that's twelve hours of sitting on a couch playing games with three random people.
