Newbie--can anyone help me interpret this odd dream that's sticking with me all day??

Hello. I had a strange dream last night for which I am looking for an interpretation. It started with me inside my house (not my actual house, but similar). I am taking tiny air conditioner window units out of all of the windows (they weigh almost nothing) and putting them into a large, black laundry bag that I carry around. I put the bag down to go outside to see my Mother-in-law, my 13-year-old son, and my wife. My Mother-in-law, who is just recovering from chemotherapy (in real life), starts telling us about how much better she has been feeling. She turns around and asks me to scratch her back. Then she asks me to look at how much her hair is growing back. When I look, she actually has very, very little hair.

I go back into the house and continue my work collecting the tiny air conditioners. In the meantime, my father-in-law comes down from upstairs where he was taking a nap. He asks where everyone else is and I tell him that they are all outside. When doing so, I glance out the window and I notice that my wife is helping to clean my mother-in-law and do various other chores (e.g., sweep the street) and that she (my wife) is completely naked. She walks along very casually as if she doesn’t care if anyone sees her naked. I don’t care either. It’s more like a casual, matter-of-fact nudity.

I then go for a long walk and get lost. I decide to cut through someone’s house. I reach out to turn their door knob right when the (one male/one female) couple who live there show up from the outside. I say “I’m sorry--I wasn’t trying to go through your house.” Then I go around the side of the same house and go through a side door. When they see me, I say “I guess that I WAS trying to cut through your house—sorry!” They decide to help me out and give me directions to my street. I understand the directions and head out on my way when suddenly I remember that I left the black laundry bag with the tiny air conditioners in their house (I think)! So, I turn around and try to make my way back to their house. I, of course, get lost again and can’t find either their house or my own. I am making my way through a crowded neighborhood that I intuitively know is mine, but I don’t recognize (i.e., everything is new to me). I check my watch and it is 12:40 AM. There is quite a weird nightlife going on. There is an oddly crowded swimming pool under a brick roof. A couple of the people are nude (I remember two men, in particular, who appeared to be a gay couple and a separate nude woman floating on her back), but most are wearing bathing suits. I momentarily run into the woman whose house I was in earlier and she whispers something to me in a strange, foreign language that I don’t understand.

I start thinking about how my wife will be upset about me being lost (and how late it is). Then, it FINALLY dawns on me that I have my smartphone and I can map my way home. Then the dream abruptly ends.

Any ideas about what any of this could possibly mean? I am 44 years old, my wife is 45, my son is 13. We live in the “gayborhood” of our city, so we know lots of homosexual people. We are all very close to my wife’s parents. Thank you!

      Hi,
What I've learnt from my own dreams is that there is nothing in a dream by chance. Therefore, if you answer the following questions, to the best of your recall ability, I will happily give you an interpretation of your dream as if it was mine.

First tell me the number of scenes in your dream. THEN FOR EACH SCENE I want you to tell me the following:

      Location:
I want you to look in your mind, as the observer, in the following directions and tell me what you see:
      1. To your left.
      2. To your right.
      3. In front of you.
      4. Behind you.
      5. Above you.
      6. Below you.

It’s all right if you can’t recall much. Simply tell me what you see and make sure I know what direction it is from you the dreamer. In my interpretation, you’ll see how this is a symbol itself.

When you are describing what you see, tell me in as much detail as you can recall about it. So things I am very interested in is what are walls, doors, windows, stairs, tables, etc. made of, age/style, colour, etc. The same goes for anything outside. You’ll see in my interpretations how all of this tells us lots about ourselves.

      Lighting:
      1. Tell me what the lighting was like, i.e. bright, dull, black, cloudy etc.
      2. Then tell me where the light was coming from.
      3. Can you tell the time of day or season?
Lighting is important in a dream because it’s a symbol of vibrational state. I’ll explain this during my interpretation for you.

      Objects:
If there are any objects in a dream scene, then tell me about them as follows:
      1. Shape, size, colour and what they were made of.
      2. Where the object is in the dream relative to you, i.e. left, right, etc.

I’ve found objects in dreams are usually symbols of things we first need to concentrate on spiritually. I’ll explain this in the interpretation if you had any objects in any of the scenes.

      People:
For each person in a dream scene I want you to do the following:
      1. Describe them to me in as much detail as you can recall. This includes age, gender, clothes, colour of the clothes, what the clothes were made of.
      2. Tell me where they were in the dream scene relative to you, i.e. left, right, below, etc.
      3. Tell me if they were lying down, sitting, standing, walking, etc.
      4. Tell me what they did with you. Don’t skip the details. Simply tell me exactly what happened.
      5. If there are any conversations or thoughts between you and the person or others, then tell me EXACTLY WHAT WAS SAID. This is important.
      6. If there were others you couldn’t see but felt, then let me know where you felt they were in a scene relative to you the dreamer, i.e. left, right, etc.

      Animals. Etc.:
If there were any animals, insects, birds, reptiles, fish or whatever in any of the scenes, then tell me. Describe them in as great as detail as you can recall. Also let me know where they were in the dream scene relative to you, i.e. left, right, etc. Then let me know of any thoughts that passed between you and them.

      Thoughts/Feelings:
This is a very important part of every dream scene. Take your time, go back and tell me the following for each scene:
      1. What was your first thought/feeling as the dream scene began.
      2. Tell me of any thoughts/feeling changes as the dream scene progressed and let me know where in the scene this occurred.
      3. Tell me your last thought/feeling as the dream ended.

I realize this is a lot of work. HOWEVER, I think you might be surprised by how much you can learn about yourself from a single scene.

      With kind regards,
      Guy

OK--thanks. I will do the best that I can. There are basically four scenes.

      Scene 1:
Location:In the "house" removing tiny air conditioners

I want you to look in your mind, as the observer, in the following directions and tell me what you see:
      1. To your left. An old (like 60s mod) green sofa
      2. To your right. ?
      3. In front of you. A front window with thick curtains like in Gone with the Wind.
      4. Behind you. Nothing that I can remember.
      5. Above you. Nothing that I can remember.
      6. Below you. Nothing that I can remember.

Very dull, but not dark. Kind of bland.
      2. Then tell me where the light was coming from. Through the window from outside. There were definitely no interior lights on.
      3. Can you tell the time of day or season? Morning, early summer.
Lighting is important in a dream because it’s a symbol of vibrational state. I’ll explain this during my interpretation for you.

      Objects:
If there are any objects in a dream scene, then tell me about them as follows:
      1. Shape, size, colour and what they were made of. Big wooden windows, tiny window air conditioner units that are really, really light.
      2. Where the object is in the dream relative to you, i.e. left, right, etc. In the window until I slip them out and place them into a large black fabric "laundry bag."

Just me. Regular clothing that I always wear (e.g., jeans and a t-shirt). Male, 44.
      2. Tell me where they were in the dream scene relative to you, i.e. left, right, below, etc. just me.
      3. Tell me if they were lying down, sitting, standing, walking, etc. walking around
      4. Tell me what they did with you. Don’t skip the details. Simply tell me exactly what happened. N/A
      5. If there are any conversations or thoughts between you and the person or others, then tell me EXACTLY WHAT WAS SAID. This is important. N/A
      6. If there were others you couldn’t see but felt, then let me know where you felt they were in a scene relative to you the dreamer, i.e. left, right, etc. N/A

      Animals.
NONE

      Thoughts/Feelings:
This is a very important part of every dream scene. Take your time, go back and tell me the following for each scene:
      1. What was your first thought/feeling as the dream scene began. "I need to remove these air conditioners." I didn't feel particularly anxious about it, just that it was something that I needed to do.
      2. Tell me of any thoughts/feeling changes as the dream scene progressed and let me know where in the scene this occurred. I felt calm and content with my tasks.
      3. Tell me your last thought/feeling as the dream ended. Bewilderment--BUT I woke up with an alarm.

SCENE 2--Going outside and seeing my Mother-in-law, wife, and son

I want you to look in your mind, as the observer, in the following directions and tell me what you see:
      1. To your left. A quiet suburban-like neighborhood; a cross-street
      2. To your right. ? More small row houses, gardens, etc.
      3. In front of you. My mother-in-law's back. My wife was standing to the left of her facing me. My standing to the right of her facing me.
      4. Behind you. My house.
      5. Above you. Nothing that I can remember.
      6. Below you. Nothing that I can remember.

Fairly bright and sunny, but pleasant (i.e., the sun wasn't blinding me or anything).
      2. Then tell me where the light was coming from. regular outdoors sun.
      3. Can you tell the time of day or season? Mid-morning, early summer.
Lighting is important in a dream because it’s a symbol of vibrational state. I’ll explain this during my interpretation for you.

      Objects:
If there are any objects in a dream scene, then tell me about them as follows:
      1. Shape, size, colour and what they were made of. a wooden "back scratcher" that looked like a small hairbrush
      2. Where the object is in the dream relative to you, i.e. left, right, etc. on the ground next to my Mother-in-Law until she hands it to me to use to scratch her back.

Me, My Mother-in-law. She was wearing comfortable pants and a cotton t-shirt. She lifted the t-shirt for me to scratch her back. She was ~69-year-old female. My 13-year-old son was wearing football shorts and t-shirt (typical for him) and I don't remember what my 45-year-old wife was wearing. She may have been nude with the exception of running shoes/trainers.
      2. Tell me where they were in the dream scene relative to you, i.e. left, right, below, etc. I mentioned that above.
      3. Tell me if they were lying down, sitting, standing, walking, etc. walking around. My Mother-in-law was kneeling on the ground with her back to me. My wife and son were standing facing me.
      4. Tell me what they did with you. Don’t skip the details. SEE ORIGINAL POST.
      5. If there are any conversations or thoughts between you and the person or others, then tell me EXACTLY WHAT WAS SAID. This is important. One thing that I didn't mention in my original recount of the dream was that I kind of telepathically shared a thought with my wife: "her hair isn't REALLY growing back much"
      6. If there were others you couldn’t see but felt, then let me know where you felt they were in a scene relative to you the dreamer, i.e. left, right, etc. N/A

      Animals.
NONE

      Thoughts/Feelings:
This is a very important part of every dream scene. Take your time, go back and tell me the following for each scene:
      1. What was your first thought/feeling as the dream scene began. "Oh, hello. I'm happy to see you all out here."
      2. Tell me of any thoughts/feeling changes as the dream scene progressed and let me know where in the scene this occurred. I felt happy with my mother-in-laws health, but became more skeptical as the seen progressed. Then, I was a bit worried (especially about her hair not growing back).
      3. Tell me your last thought/feeling as the dream ended. Bewilderment--BUT I woke up with an alarm.

SCENE 3: Back in the house with my father-in-law

I want you to look in your mind, as the observer, in the following directions and tell me what you see:
      1. To your left. An old (like 60s mod) green sofa
      2. To your right. ?
      3. In front of you. A front window with thick curtains like in Gone with the Wind.
      4. Behind you. a straight wooden staircase that my father-in-law descends.
      5. Above you. Nothing that I can remember.
      6. Below you. Nothing that I can remember.

      1. Shape, size, colour and what they were made of. big black black laundry bag (some kind of synthetic material. The bag holds several tiny room window air conditioner units that are almost weightless.
      2. Where the object is in the dream relative to you, i.e. left, right, etc. on the floor in front of me (slightly to the left).

Just me. Regular clothing that I always wear (e.g., jeans and a t-shirt). Me (male, 44). My father-in-law, 68 years old. He descends the stairs wearing a t-shirt and sweatpants. His hair is disheveled as he just awoke from a nap. The other people from scene 2 where scene as before out the window. In this scene, however, my wife was definitely nude, except for her shoes. The other people were clothed.
      2. Tell me where they were in the dream scene relative to you, i.e. left, right, below, etc. father-in-law--back left of me, descending stairs. Others out the window to my right.
      3. Tell me if they were lying down, sitting, standing, walking, etc. walking around. Father-in-law--descending stairs and walking toward me. Others--moving about doing errands (e.g., sweeping the street, fetching the mail). My mother-in-law and son were fairly complacent and kind of just hanging out. My nude wife was very busy.
      4. Tell me what they did with you. Don’t skip the details. Simply tell me exactly what happened. SEE FIRST POST.
      5. If there are any conversations or thoughts between you and the person or others, then tell me EXACTLY WHAT WAS SAID. Father-in-law "Where is everyone." Me: "They are hanging out outside."
      6. If there were others you couldn’t see but felt, then let me know where you felt they were in a scene relative to you the dreamer, i.e. left, right, etc. N/A I could "feel" that there were neighbors and other city residents (including several children) running about doing their business as usual. I was most aware of this when I noticed my wife's casual nudity while hanging about in the neighborhood.

      Animals.
NONE

      Thoughts/Feelings:
This is a very important part of every dream scene. Take your time, go back and tell me the following for each scene:
      1. What was your first thought/feeling as the dream scene began. I am not sure. Kind of just neutral. Wondering what was going to happen next.
      2. Tell me of any thoughts/feeling changes as the dream scene progressed and let me know where in the scene this occurred. I felt somewhat proud of my wife and her comfort with her nudity.
      3. Tell me your last thought/feeling as the dream ended. Bewilderment--BUT I woke up with an alarm.

SCENE 4: Leaving the house and getting lost.

I want you to look in your mind, as the observer, in the following directions and tell me what you see:
      1. To your left. lots of old, rowhouses. Almost on top of each other
      2. To your right. Same.
      3. In front of you. a web of streets in a suburban neighborhood.
      4. Behind you. Nothing that I can remember.
      5. Above you. Nothing that I can remember.
      6. Below you. Nothing that I can remember.

Begins as bright, summer day; ends as nearly pitch black night with only stars lighting the way.
      2. Then tell me where the light was coming from. outdoors (sun, then stars/moon)
      3. Can you tell the time of day or season? starts in afternoon; ends somewhere around 1:00 AM. I specifically remember looking at my watch and noticing that it was 12:40 AM and I felt that it was very late (see original post for details).
Lighting is important in a dream because it’s a symbol of vibrational state. I’ll explain this during my interpretation for you.

      Objects:
If there are any objects in a dream scene, then tell me about them as follows:
      1. Shape, size, colour and what they were made of. Large black, synthetic "laundry bag" Big, stainless steel watch (my own), iPhone with orange case (my own).
      2. Where the object is in the dream relative to you, i.e. left, right, etc. I am holding the phone in my right hand. Bag is over my left shoulder. watch is on my right wrist.

Me- Regular clothing that I always wear (e.g., jeans and a t-shirt). Male, 44. White woman, early 30s, beautiful with long brown hair in a french braid. I don't remember her clothing. Her husband/partner was white, skinny, and very non-descript.
      2. Tell me where they were in the dream scene relative to you, i.e. left, right, below, etc. They approached me on the left.
      3. Tell me if they were lying down, sitting, standing, walking, etc. walking around. Walking around.
      4. Tell me what they did with you. Don’t skip the details. Simply tell me exactly what happened. SEE ORIGINAL POST.
      5. If there are any conversations or thoughts between you and the person or others, then tell me EXACTLY WHAT WAS SAID. This is important. N/A. A group of neighbors/city residents were in a swimming pool that was quasi-inside (a tall brick ceiling was canopy-like on top of the pool). There were, perhaps, 10 people in the pool. Two gay men who were a couple and were nude. A lone, nude woman who was floating peacefully on her back, and several others who were fairly non-descript.
      6. If there were others you couldn’t see but felt, then let me know where you felt they were in a scene relative to you the dreamer, i.e. left, right, etc. There seemed to be people out and about doing things at night (e.g., drinking, partying, dancing, etc.). I didn't see this, but I could "feel" it.

      Animals.
NONE

      Thoughts/Feelings:
This is a very important part of every dream scene. Take your time, go back and tell me the following for each scene:
      1. What was your first thought/feeling as the dream scene began. " I feel like a walk." I was content and just felt like walking.
      2. Tell me of any thoughts/feeling changes as the dream scene progressed and let me know where in the scene this occurred. I was very anxious when I was lost, then felt better after being given directions, then felt even MORE anxious and upset when I got lost for the second time.
      3. Tell me your last thought/feeling as the dream ended. Bewilderment--BUT I woke up with an alarm.

      Thank you!

      Hi,
Thanks for your reply. Before I get to my interpretation, I want to compliment you on your excellent dream recall. Below is my interpretation of your dream as if it was mine. Dreams are for each of us to interpret on our own. Therefore, if anything I say below doesn’t resonate with you, then simply discard it. So with that said off I go…

      Scene 1 – Air conditioners

When I do my own interpretations or that of others, I always start with the location. I could have located it anywhere, at any time in any reality and…I’ve located it in a house. I’ve learnt that locations help to “spiritually frame in a dream.

I will take the first of several sidebars here to help you understand the framework I use when interpreting a dream. This one will cover what I’ve learned about beliefs, belief compartments, people and the age of people. Then I’ll return to myself in the house.

In my dreams, things that are made by people are symbols of masculine and things of nature are symbols of feminine. I’ve learnt that before we incarnate, we carefully select the times we will live in, our families, life circumstances, challenges and potential exit points. We then carefully select our personality.

I’ve learnt we do this by selecting approximately 200 different “belief filters”. These are energy filters that have two polarities, a feminine one and a masculine one. We select the degree of polarity we are going to hold the belief, i.e. the degree of feminine or masculine. This then determines the belief vibratory level.

Each belief then works with the other beliefs, each with their own vibratory rate. They literally “filter our reality” by blocking out the greater reality vibrations we actually come from. They create the aura around us and create our thoughts/feelings for each moment.

We constantly tell ourselves about this in our dreams. We use symbolism to show ourselves about the beliefs and their limiting effects on us spiritually. We also show ourselves the “dis-ease’ created by some of our beliefs using colours in our dreams.

In my dreams buildings are symbols of what I call ‘belief compartments’. I’ve learnt that each wall is a symbol of a belief. Furniture within them are symbols of yet more beliefs that work with the overall beliefs to produce what I call are ‘belief effects’.

To symbolize to ourselves the many different types of beliefs we use in all our many lives, we often create our dreams in towns, cities or houses.

I’ve often found that in many of my dreams, people appear in the rooms or buildings. When I first began to record my dreams, many years ago, I frequently found myself in large warehouses full of boxes I had to climb over or in rooms in houses full of furniture. Imagine my surprise when I eventually learnt they boxes and furniture were symbols of masculine based beliefs I had to address first before I got to the walls!

As I spiritually listened to myself, over time, the rooms began to empty. Then I was walking through empty rooms. The next step was to see glass walls, windows and open doors, all symbols of how I was beginning to work my way out of the old belief walls. Then the walls began to disappear. In the end, I was usually flying over the old beliefs.

In many of my dreams when I began to keep a record of my dreams,, I would find myself in multi-storied houses. I then realized these are symbols of numerous belief compartments I use in one or more of my lives.

Then I found myself in towns and cities. I then realized that each one is a symbol of various belief compartments I have used in another life.

I will take another sidebar here and describe what I’ve learnt about people in my dreams…

When I first began recording my dreams, I would often find people in my dreams that I didn’t know or ones that I did know but they were doing strange things. When I tried to literally interpret my dreams, it usually didn’t work.

I had a near death experience 12 years ago that changed me. One of the changes was a determination to learn to meditate. I had stopped and started meditation all my life and had in effect gone nowhere in a hurry. So this time I was determined to stick with it.

I slowly learnt how to touch my “higher self”. One day, the thought came to me to use my higher self to assist me in interpreting my dreams. Then the dream gates swung wide open.

I’ve since learnt that people in my dreams may be who they are, symbols of my masculine and feminine, other lives, teachers, guides, oversoul, aspects of myself, people who I frequently incarnate with, etc.

When I first began to record my dreams I frequently began to see an old couple. They might change their appearance but there was almost always an old man and woman in the dream. Then a young girl and by appeared.

They too sometimes changed but they were now in the same dream as the old couple. However, they were “bit players” in my dreams as the old couple was the ones I was interacting with.

At first, I had no idea who these people were. Then, as I learnt to mediate and apply my higher self to my dream interpretations, my dreams gates swung open.

First, I learnt that the old man and women were symbols of my masculine and feminine. Next, I learnt that the young girl and boy were symbols of the feminine and masculine I could become. So I then used the terms “old masculine and feminine” and “young masculine and feminine” to describe these dream symbols to myself.

As I began to address my underlying beliefs, the old couple disappeared from my dreams and the young ones spiritually grew up.

I then learnt that things made out of natural materials are symbols of feminine beliefs that are now no longer working for me. In effect, spiritually speaking, they are now “dead” for me, i.e. dead trees – wood, etc. So, whenever I am in rooms made of wood or standing on wood, etc. I refer to this in my mind as “dead feminine”.

I’ve learnt that people’s age in dreams is important.

When infants are in my dreams as other lives, this is usually a symbol I and they are just beginning our journey through the beliefs the dream is about.

When teenagers show up I realize I am making steady progress through my dreams.

When mature adults show up, it’s a sign that I am now spiritually maturing in dealing with the beliefs.

When old people show up in my dreams, I let out a sound of joy! It’s a sign that I am now ready to release the old beliefs.

I will take an aside here and talk about lying, sitting, standing, walking and running in my dreams…

When I am lying down in dream, it’s a symbol that I don’t have any spiritual ability yet to even see the effects of some of my beliefs.

When I am sitting, it’s a symbol that I need spiritual support to see the effects of some of my beliefs.

When I am standing, it’s a symbol that I now can stand on my own two spiritual feet to see the effects.

When I am walking, it’s a symbol that I am now steadily moving through the beliefs.

When I am running, it’s a symbol I am moving relatively quickly through the beliefs.

About a year and a half ago, I felt compelled to put together a free website documenting what I have learnt. At first, I didn’t want to because I felt what I had learnt was akin in my mind to a teaspoon of water compared to all the oceans’ water, i.e. not much. However the feeling persisted.

Today if you go to ‘learningfrommydreams’ dot com you’ll see what I created. If you go there, I suggest you look at 3 things. One is the meditation page where I list all sorts of different ways to meditate. Find one that works for you.

Then I recommend you read the dream discussion paper I posted on the website. It describes the symbolism I’ve learnt including people.

Finally, I recommend you look at the resources page where you’ll find an extensive list of things to look at.

So with this said, back to my dream…

So I am standing and walking in a masculine based belief compartment, i.e. a room. To mu feminine side, is a symbol of another masculine based beliefs I have used to spiritually support me, i.e. sitting. It’s old, i.e. it’s time to begin working on this belief.

I’ve learnt from my dreams that when I am in rooms with objects in them, like furniture, this is a way of symbolizing yet more beliefs I use that work within the framework of the overall beliefs the room is a symbol of. I’ve also learnt that these are the first beliefs to begin working on.

Over time, If I learn to listen to myself, I find that the rooms empty out. Then I find open doors and large windows appearing in the belief walls. This usually progresses to rooms with glass walls and then the walls begin to disappear. I know I’ve released the old beliefs when I am then flying over where my dreams used to be located.

So, given this the sofa is a place to begin. I also note the colour of the sofa…green.

I have learnt that colours in my dreams are very important. They are symbols of how the beliefs affect different points on my etheric and physical body. The old Hindi’s of thousand of years ago saw three energies swirling into our bodies at several points they called “chakras”. Then they mapped 70,000 different smaller points they called “Nadis”. This then grew to 100,000 points. It was and is an amazing piece of work.

Since I can only see the first 6 inches or so of an aura around a person and I’m not yet able to see chakras, I use this reference for colours and general body location points “The Chakras” by David Leadbeater. You can find free copies of it online.

I find that this is the best reference I can find to date about colours but the colours in my dreams usually go beyond what I find in David’s reference.

      So back to my dream…

I make a mental note to myself to look up the green colour in Leadbeater’s book to understand where this belief is affecting my etheric and physical body.

In front of me is “A front window with thick curtains like in Gone with the Wind.” Windows are symbols of gaps in a belief wall. They allow me to begin to see the greater reality my existing beliefs are restricting me from.

In this case, the window has thick, fancy curtains. Curtains are a symbol of yet more masculine based beliefs. This one is fancy. So I am sending myself a message about some of what I call are “belief effects”, i.e. effects of my beliefs. This one is about wealth, status and judging myself by how others judge me, e.g. just like “Gone with the Wind”! This is another belief I have to address in order to let my higher self, i.e. the sun, shine in through my belief wall.

Next I move on to lighting. I will take a side bar here and describe what I’ve learnt about lighting in my dreams and then return to the lighting in the room…

Lighting in my dreams is very important. It is a way of symbolizing how much en-lightenment I have with respect to the beliefs the dream is about.

Dark in my dreams is a symbol of where I haven’t yet spiritually explored my beliefs. Sunlight is a symbol that my over soul is assisting me.

When I am in rooms with no windows or doors, it’s a symbol that I am “en-lightening” myself on my own.

If there are windows and the sun is shining through, it’s a symbol that some of my belief walls are beginning to be removed and my over soul is now beginning to assist me.

Morning is a symbol I am beginning to make progress on my beliefs. Noon is a symbol I am now able to shed full spiritual enlightenment on beliefs the scene is a symbol of. Evening is a time when I am in a place of spiritual darkness with respect to the beliefs.

If it’s winter, it’s a sign that I need to reflect on my beliefs since they are frozen. If it’s spring, it’s a time that I am beginning to make spiritual progress on the beliefs. If it’s summertime, it’s a symbol that my work is now bearing spiritual fruit. If it’s fall, it indicates I am heading towards a period where I can reap the benefits by releasing old beliefs.

So what was the lighting like? “Very dull, but not dark. Kind of bland.” The light was coming “Through the window from outside. There were definitely no interior lights on.” It was “Morning, early summer.”

I’m showing myself that I need to become more spiritually aware of the beliefs the room is a symbol of. That’s why it’s dull and kind of bland.

The only light coming is was from my higher self outside, i.e. the sun. However, it can’t get through because of the masculine based beliefs the curtain is a symbol of.

It’s morning, i.e. I still have a ways to go to begin releasing the beliefs. It’s also summer, i.e. a time when I can begin to reap some of the benefits by working on the beliefs the room is a symbol of.

Next I move on to the objects in my dreams. “Big wooden windows.” So my gap in the masculine belief wall I’ve made using “dead feminine based beliefs”. Good news – the belief gap is quite large in the one belief wall.

“Tiny window air conditioner units that are really, really light.” So in my feminine based gap in my masculine based belief wall, I have tiny masculine based symbols, i.e. air conditioners. They are “In the window until I slip them out and place them into a large black fabric "laundry bag."”

Very, very interesting! I am showing myself that I no longer need these old masculine based beliefs to bring in spiritual air from my greater reality, i.e. outside. The really good news is the symbol of my beliefs are now small and light, i.e. I’m showing myself how much spiritual progress I’ve made regarding these beliefs.

HOWEVER, I’m then taking them and putting them in a symbol of a low vibration masculine belief, i.e. the black fabric bag. That’s why the room is still sort of dull. I need to not just pick up the beliefs, spiritually speaking and try to hide them from myself, i.e. out of sight out of mind, BUT I need to address them.

The only person in the dream is myself. I am wearing jeans and at-shirt. I’ll take yet another brief side bar here and tell you what I’ve learnt about clothing and dreams. Then I’ll return to myself wearing jeans and a t-shirt.

In my old dreams, I frequently was in places nude and would panic that others would see me (I’m sure readers of this interpretation will have had similar dreams). I was always wanting to get dressed or hide away.

Imagine my surprise when I learnt that clothes are symbols of beliefs we “spiritually wear”. I then have learnt that being nude in a dream is a sign of spiritual progress regarding the beliefs the dream is about.

We are beings where we are both feminine and masculine. We live many, many lives as either sex, sometimes hermaphrodite, gay, whatever. Yet in the world we live in today, being nude is considered somewhat of a “sin”.

So, today, I always rejoice when I am partially nude or wholly nude in a dream. This also applies to footwear.

I’ve learnt as I make spiritual progress regarding a set of beliefs, frequently I am barefoot. Shoes are a way of symbolizing beliefs we use to separate ourselves from our feminine, i.e. ground we walk upon.

So there I am dressed in symbols of yet more masculine based beliefs, i.e. t-shirt and jeans. They are “protecting” my chakras from the neck down. I’m thereby restricting the flow of my feminine.

I am walking around. This is good. I’m showing myself I am making steady spiritual progress through the beliefs this room is a symbol of.

Finally, I turn to my thoughts and feelings. I’ve learnt that the first thought/feeling is a symbol of the theme of the dream. "I need to remove these air conditioners. I didn't feel particularly anxious about it, just that it was something that I needed to do.” So, I’m showing myself it’s time to release the beliefs symbolized by the small, light air conditioners.

As the dream scene progressed “I felt calm and content with my tasks.” This is good news – I only need to learn to listen to myself and spiritually release them rather than simply gathering them up.

Scene 2 – Going outside and seeing my Mother-in-law, wife, and son

I am now outside. Whenever I am outside in a dream it’s what I call a “teaching dream” where my higher self is assisting me versus indoors when I am learning on my own within a belief compartment.

To my feminine side, i.e. left, I see “A quiet suburban-like neighborhood; a cross-street.” I am looking at houses, i.e. various groups of different belief compartments I have used in some of my other lives. These are beside roads, i.e. symbols of yet more masculine based beliefs we all use to navigate our way spiritually around.

To my masculine side, i.e. right, “More small row houses, gardens, etc.” i.e. yet more symbols of groups of belief compartments I use in some of my other lives.
In front of me: “My mother-in-law's back. My wife was standing to the left of her facing me.”

Is it my mother in law or, is she a symbol? It’s her. Her back is to me. She’s a bit further ahead than me spiritually speaking on the beliefs this dream scene is about.

My wife is facing me. Is it my wife? Yes. So she’s standing, i.e. she is able to see the effects of the beliefs this dream scene is about BUT isn’t yet ready to spiritually move through them, i.e. standing and not walking.

My son’s also there. Is it him or, is he a symbol? It’s him. So he like my wife and mother are all able to now see the effects of the beliefs this dream is about, i.e. standing.

      What are we wearing?

“My Mother-in-law. She was wearing comfortable pants and a cotton t-shirt. She lifted the t-shirt for me to scratch her back. “ So my mother in law is wearing a masculine based belief over her spiritual top and another set covering her genitals and legs. I will come back shortly to discuss what her lifting her t-shirt is a symbol of.

“My 13-year-old son was wearing football shorts and t-shirt”. Football shorts are a symbol of masculine based beliefs AND ALSO they are a symbol of male based beliefs resulting in competition (as opposed to say feminine ones that are based on collaboration). These beliefs are affecting his genital area, i.e. surface level beliefs of masculine, feminine, gender, roles and relationships.

“I don't remember what my 45-year-old wife was wearing. She may have been nude with the exception of running shoes/trainers.” My wife is showing me that she has now removed most of her masculine based beliefs that have been restricting her feminine. She’s only got to remove the masculine ones separating her from her feminine, i.e. feet from the ground!!!!!! Way to go wife!

Behind me is a symbol of the set of beliefs I use in this life, i.e. my house.

The lighting in this scene is “Fairly bright and sunny, but pleasant (i.e., the sun wasn't blinding me or anything).” So my over soul is assisting me in this dream scene, i.e. the sun.

Now I move onto the objects in this scene:

There is the symbol of low vibrational masculine based beliefs I am carrying. There’s also a “wooden "back scratcher" that looked like a small hairbrush - next to my Mother-in-Law until she hands it to me to use to scratch her back.”

“My Mother-in-law, who is just recovering from chemotherapy (in real life), starts telling us about how much better she has been feeling. She turns around and asks me to scratch her back. Then she asks me to look at how much her hair is growing back. When I look, she actually has very, very little hair. “ I will take this in chunks.

First, I note that it’s her and not my wife or son who is speaking in this dream. That’s because she is a bit more spiritually advanced than I am regarding the beliefs this dream is about, i.e. ahead of me and facing forward.

Next, I remind myself that this is my dream about me. My mother is simply trying to assist me. So, she’s letting me know that she is feeling SPIRITUALLY much better.

She then turns around to give me a message/lesson. She “asks me to scratch her back. Then she asks me to look at how much her hair is growing back.”

To do this she lifts her t-shirt. So she is showing me that by addressing the masculine based beliefs she is wearing (and I am to) that now I can begin to address old beliefs I have been carrying around.

She’s handing me a symbol of a dead feminine belief, i.e. a wooden back scratcher. She wants me to scratch her spiritual back. Our physical backs are hard to itch. Our spiritual “backs” are symbols of beliefs we have been carrying around for a very long time. So she’s letting me know that the beliefs this is associated with are dead feminine beliefs. Then she lets me know what one of the belief effects of this is….our use of this belief to judge ourselves by how others judge us, i.e. how we physically look.

I then literally interpret this message, effectively missing the point of this dream scene. I scratch her back and can’t see hardly any hair.

“One thing that I didn't mention in my original recount of the dream was that I kind of telepathically shared a thought with my wife: "her hair isn't REALLY growing back much."””

This is a good sign. I am showing myself that my wife and I are now approaching a spiritual state of progress where we can use telepathy, not only in the dream world but also in real life, if we choose to listen to this dream.

It’s also showing myself how I am missing the point of the dream!

My first thought of the dream scene was “Oh, hello. I'm happy to see you all out here." So I am somewhat spiritually surprised to see them BUT also happy to work with them spiritually speaking.

“I felt happy with my mother-in-laws health, but became more skeptical as the seen progressed. Then, I was a bit worried (especially about her hair not growing back).”
I am happy with hearing of my improved mother-in-laws spiritual health but literally interpret this to mean physical health and then miss the point of the dream scene.

Scene 3 - Back in the house with my father-in-law

I note that I am once again back in my old belief compartment. This time however there is behind me “a straight wooden staircase that my father-in-law descends”.

In my dreams, to display differences in vibrational energies I usually have to go either up or down. Up meaning a higher vibrational energy and down meaning lower. In my belief framework, my theory is that we are a composite of different beliefs, each with their own specific polarities and each thus having different vibrational frequencies.

This is symbolized in houses, buildings, etc. by having different floors, each a symbol of a certain frequency level with belief compartments on that level. So, in my “spiritual house” I have some beliefs that are at a higher vibrational frequency. I display this by connecting them with stairs, elevators, etc.

In this dream, behind me, is a set of beliefs at a higher vibrational frequency that are dead feminine based polarity, i.e. old feminine based beliefs that I am symbolizing using dead wood, i.e. wooden stairs.

The lighting is the same as before.

The only object in the room, other than the sofa, was a big black laundry bag on the floor in front of me (slightly to the left). So I am still carrying around with me this low vibration set of masculine based beliefs to deal with.

Down the stairs come my father-in-law. “He descends the stairs wearing a t-shirt and sweatpants. His hair is disheveled as he just awoke from a nap.”

Is it him or, is he a symbol? It’s him. He’s in this scene with me because he shares the same underlying beliefs I do, which this room is a symbol of. He’s also showing me that he has some higher-level beliefs we also share, i.e. upstairs.

He’s letting me know that these higher-level beliefs, he’s just spiritually waking up and addressing, i.e. he’s lying down upstairs. In the dream, I miss all of this and assume he’s just woken from a nap.

Father-in-law "Where is everyone?" Me: "They are hanging out outside."

Recall that this is my dream. My father-in-law spiritually knows where everyone is. HOWEVER, he’s trying to help me. I haven’t yet put together the fact that my wife, son and mother-in-lay don’t share the same underlying beliefs my father-in-law and I do, i.e. the room we are in. So my father in law is trying to help me learn this by asking, “Where is everyone?”

I miss the spiritual point and literally interpret it by saying “They are hanging out outside.” What they are doing is patiently waiting for me to spiritually figure all this stuff out on my own!

So, “I glance out the window and I notice that my wife is helping to clean my mother-in-law and do various other chores (e.g., sweep the street) and that she (my wife) is completely naked. She walks along very casually as if she doesn’t care if anyone sees her naked. I don’t care either. It’s more like a casual, matter-of-fact nudity. “

I note I am looking out the window to my masculine side, i.e. right.

My wife is busy and she’s almost naked. She’s showing me a couple of things on different levels…

She’s busy. In the spiritual world we can instantly learn and do things. So her being busy, since it’s my dream about myself, is a way of showing me that my masculine based ideas of command/control are in play here.

What I’ve learnt from my dreams is that there is a group of masculine based beliefs I collectively call “command/control”. I’ve learnt that these masculine based beliefs are effectively scared of my feminine. As a result, I build spiritual, mental and physical walls around myself to protect me from myself, i.e. my feminine.

There are several belief effects that command/control beliefs produce. One is a sense of order. This leads to a sense of purpose. We create lists, tasks, etc. We also like to have order and control in our rooms, years, et al.

I am not saying these beliefs are good or bad or right or wrong. They simply are what they are. So my wife is showing me that she and I both share some of the same beliefs by being “busy”.

Next, she’s showing me that she is spiritually ahead of me in releasing lots of the old masculine based beliefs she used to spiritually wear. As mentioned earlier, she’s only got the shoes left to remove.

Finally, she’s working spiritually with my mother-in-law. She’s assisting her spiritually in removing some of her old beliefs, i.e. cleaning her.

“I could "feel" that there were neighbors and other city residents (including several children) running about doing their business as usual. I was most aware of this when I noticed my wife's casual nudity while hanging about in the neighborhood.”

So I am beginning to spiritually sense/feel my other lives. Several of them are children in this dream, indicating that some of the beliefs we both share, we are just starting our progress through them.

      What do I think?

At the beginning “Kind of just neutral. Wondering what was going to happen next.” That’s why the lighting is dull in this room! I need to en-lighten myself!

“I felt somewhat proud of my wife and her comfort with her nudity.” “It’s more like a casual, matter-of-fact nudity. “

So, I am slowly spiritually waking up! I’m no longer worried as much about clothes covering up some of myself spiritually.

Scene 4: Leaving the house and getting lost.

“I then go for a long walk and get lost. I decide to cut through someone’s house.”

To my left “ lots of old, row houses. Almost on top of each other” and to my right it’s the same. In front of me is “a web of streets in a suburban neighborhood.”

So now I am going to explore some of my other lives and their/my beliefs!!! There are “lots” of them AND now the spiritual beliefs I’ve been using are “OLD!”.

This begins as a teaching dream, i.e. I’m out in the sun. My higher self or over soul or whatever one wants to call it is assisting me.

Then “I reach out to turn their door knob right when the (one male/one female) couple who live there show up from the outside. I say “I’m sorry--I wasn’t trying to go through your house.”

“White woman, early 30s, beautiful with long brown hair in a french braid. I don't remember her clothing. Her husband/partner was white, skinny, and very non-descript..”

So, there I am meeting two of my other lives! They share the same underlying beliefs. I am getting ready to enter their belief compartments by turning the doorknob to my masculine side, i.e. right. They show up from outside the belief compartment. They come at me from my feminine side, i.e. left.

Now I feel spiritually confused. I then say I wasn’t trying to go through their/my house (yet I was). So this is a belief effect of ownership, i.e. command/control!

“Then I go around the side of the same house and go through a side door. When they see me, I say “I guess that I WAS trying to cut through your house—sorry!” They decide to help me out and give me directions to my street.”

So I am still trying to enter on of my old aggregation of spiritual belief compartments, i.e. the house. This time I’m not coming in through the front but form the side, i.e. I am just beginning to feel my way spiritually around the old beliefs.

So now I fess up and admit I was trying to go through the house. Therein is a challenge in my dream I’m not realizing. I don’t need to go through the house. Instead I need to release the old beliefs the house represents.

My other lives tell me how to get to my street. This is quite funny! My other lives are telling me how to spiritually find myself!

“I understand the directions and head out on my way when suddenly I remember that I left the black laundry bag with the tiny air conditioners in their house (I think)! So, I turn around and try to make my way back to their house. I, of course, get lost again and can’t find either their house or my own. I am making my way through a crowded neighborhood that I intuitively know is mine, but I don’t recognize (i.e., everything is new to me).”

This black bag is what I call a “yellow spiritual sticky note” like the ones you write something down on as a reminder of what to do. It’s like saying “Hey me! Spiritually wake up and address this!” Since I’m not ready, in my dreams, I turn away, walk away or forget it. I’m sending myself a blunt spiritual message – spiritually wake up and address this. Don’t carry it around inside myself anymore!

So there I am lost in my own spiritual neighborhood! It is familiar! What a wonderful dream to introduce myself to some of my many other selves!!!!!

Now it’s night out. I need to spiritually awaken and en-lighten myself!

“I check my watch and it is 12:40 AM.” I will take a short side bar here and describe what I’ve learnt about numerology and then come back to the number 1240…

When I first began to interpret dreams I though numerology was some fluffy thing people did. Then I learnt that it’s not “fluffy” because my dreams and those of others are full of it. It’s a way of sending us messages about ourselves. Numbers are part of the multiverse we live in.

I have my own theory about numerology in dreams. It doesn’t matter which reference or approach a dreamer takes to interpret it AS LONG AS THEY USE A WAY THAT RESONATES WITHIN THEM. I think that once the dreamer has their own numerology frame of reference, the dreams are arranged to convey to the dreamer the messages using their frame of reference.

For myself, I use “Angel Numbers – Joanne Sacred Scribes” (Google it). Here’s what she says for the number 1240…

Number 1240 is a combination of the attributes of number 1 and number 2, and the influences of number 4 and number 0. Number 1 carries the energy of striving forward and pursuing goals, ambition and tenacity, self-leadership and assertiveness, instinct and intuition, initiative, changes, new beginnings and starting afresh. Number 1 also relates to creating our own realities with our thoughts, beliefs and actions. Number 2 resonates with balance and harmony, duality, faith, devotion, insight, co-operation, adaptability and diplomacy. Number 2 also resonates with faith and trust and your Divine life purpose and soul mission. Number 4 encourages diligence and determination to achieve goals, practicality and application, hard work and responsibility, traditional values, honesty, integrity and inner-wisdom. Number 4 also relates to our drive, passion and life purpose. Thanks over soul for sending me this wonderful message!!!!!

“There is quite a weird nightlife going on. “

This is an absolutely wonderful dream! I’m meeting some of my other lives. They are introducing themselves to me…

First of all, they’re doing it in a swimming pool. Water is a symbol of my feminine. A swimming pool is a symbol of my masculine based beliefs containing my feminine, i.e. a sign that there is lots of what I call heavy spiritual lifting ahead for me and my other lives to work on.

There’s also a symbol of my masculine beliefs which is also trying to protect me from myself, i.e. brick roof.

Two of my lives, I live as homosexuals. They’re showing me that they have shed all of their old masculine based beliefs and are now immersed in my feminine. There’s also a female other life showing me the same.

Then the woman from the house is letting me know that we can spiritually communicate if I desire. I can telepathically communicate with her. She’s letting me know that she lives in a different reality with a different language.

“There seemed to be people out and about doing things at night (e.g., drinking, partying, dancing, etc.). I didn't see this, but I could "feel" it.” So around me are LOTS of my other lives celebrating my spiritual awakening!!!!!

HOWEVER, I AM STILL LITERALLY INTERPRETING MY DREAM. So I “start thinking about how my wife will be upset about me being lost (and how late it is). Then, it FINALLY dawns on me that I have my smartphone and I can map my way home.”

My smartphone is a symbol of my masculine based beliefs that I use to communicate. To communicate with my wife and my other lives telepathically, I’ll need to release the old masculine based beliefs, which I note I am holding in my right, i.e. masculine, hand.

And what were my thoughts/feelings? " I feel like a walk." I was content and just felt like walking. So I am ready to go on my adventure!

Then “I was very anxious when I was lost, then felt better after being given directions, then felt even MORE anxious and upset when I got lost for the second time.”

So I am just slowly spiritually awakening. I have only to learn to listen to myself, via meditation, to not feel lost anymore.

And when the dream ended…Bewilderment. I am not sure what the heck just spiritually just happened to me!

Well there you go! What a wonderful, wonderful, wonderful dream!!!!! You are a spiritual healer/teacher if you learn to listen to yourself. You are standing at the edge of an absolutely amazing spiritual adventure if you choose to listen to the dream.

I hope that some of what I’ve said above deeply resonates within you.

      With kind regards,
      Guy

Amazing! Thanks so much, Guy, for taking the time to work through your interpretation with me. I found much of it to be enlightening and helpful. I really appreciated the help.

      Question The Climate At Home

I saw it a little differently. See if any of this may relate.

Did you want to clear the air? The air-con you needed to remove in your view was tiny and without weight or reality, maybe ineffective, and may be you were too selfishly comfortable (sorry if that's wrong), because the theme seems to be little thought about the female - your wife - who may be suffering, perhaps as a result.

Therefore wanting to balance the relationship, clean your road ahead and the lady as she is naked or character is not seen or not there.

And then you got lost, maybe in the relationship. Because you wanted to cut through the male and female. That sounds like cutting through the relationship, as a matter of fact, which might explain all this. You were sorry.
But you know the way, and then remember the cleaning of the air. It might have been uncomfortable.

You got lost again. You're crowded. Everything is new to you.
So maybe you were stripped too, of yourself, by focusing too much on you or the male. Rather than the balance of the couple.
She was separate, naked and on her back or not upright. So she is foreign to you, and you don't understand her, or what she says.

Hence your wife being upset at you.
But it FINALLY dawns on you that you can be smart. And find the way home back to her.

      ______ _______
      ADDED DETAILS
In front of you, your thickly-covered view made things Gone with the Wind.
"I woke up with an alarm." With a warning, in the real world, to wake up, it sounds like.
