Although in order to provide a more accurate interpretation it would usually be best to have some additional general background information about you (and a description of any other events just before this upsetting dream), it looks like the departure of the girl and the resulting feelings about that are the basic message that the dream is trying to get across.
For example, it’s possible that your reaction is maybe like that of most guys (as symbolized by riding on the bus).
Not knowing much about you, the typical way of handling this kind of blow might not be the one you are using, but if it is, normally guys don’t let in their real feelings and emotions enough about such an event.
So the idea is that the girl in the dream represents your emotional and values side, and it’s as if she’s “angry” with you because you’re tending to “block out” all kinds of reactions to what happened. Therefore she bites your anal area.
The anus is where faeces appear, as you said, and excrement (along with pee) can symbolize, as an example, the eventual “disgusting” results of having to “absorb” and “digest” (symbolized by eating in dreams) the various realities regarding our own lives and those of others.
The psychological “by-products” of this process include such things as anger, resentment, jealousies and grudges etc. etc. which somehow have to be “gotten rid of”.
Similarly, giving up control, pride or fear is equally part of the “elimination” that is vital.
“Giving all of this up” in the end-product of faeces is therefore a sign in a way of the great value of the process overall which can lead to new understanding and maturity even though part of the process is indeed very “smelly” and “disgusting”.
This idea is seen in many dreams and folk tales etc. where faeces change to gold in a miraculous way.
Also, many young children conceive theories about childbirth being related to faeces and therefore see their own excrement as proof of their own creative magic and ability to “produce new things” as it were.
So in this way of looking at your dream, this process about the recent loss of your girlfriend is mostly “blocked” and needs to be “opened up”.
The problem is that a “bite” in dreams can mean that, if something important should be dealt with and the ego doesn’t do it for whatever reason, any one of an endless number of unpleasant physical and/or psychological symptoms can appear such as headaches, stomach upsets, unexpected outbursts of anger or feeling down too often etc. etc.
If this way of looking at your dream seems to make any sense in your personal situation, you might like to read “Nothing's Wrong: A Man's Guide to Managing His Feelings” by David Kundtz, and “Emotion: A Very Short Introduction” by Dylan Evans.
Anyway as mentioned, without knowing anything much about you, this way of looking at your dream might not fit your personal circumstances very well, but I hope that these ideas can be helpful in some way.
Please feel free to comment on, or to ask any questions about this particular way of looking at your dream.
