Dream that was fantasy based before turning into real life ~ Thanks for any help!

      Hi, everyone!

I had a dream last night that really stuck out to me when I woke up. It was a bit of an odd one, so any help in interpreting it would be appreciated.

      Thanks so much!

      ~+~+~+~+~+~

It was more of a fantasy based dream to start off with. I was on my own, travelling through villages and not interacting with any of the civilians that went by. I seemed to be completely focussed on my mission, I remember feeling angry throughout this section. When I got to a castle I began to scout out those who were in charge, they were tyrants who were oppressing the civilians, making certain they all did as they were told. Making them work endlessly to death, and not give anything back to them.
Along with the tyrant king though were mages who I didn't seem to factor in the chance of running into them. At that moment I was hurt, and forced to retreat.
When I was retreating I came across this pink cat who spoke to me. She sympathised with my plight, and invited me back to her home to rest up. Then the dream switched when I was invited back to this cat's home. She became a girl in her early twenties, and invited me into her home where she introduced me to her sister (also the same age). Her sister was more defensive around me though, and didn't trust me at first. They shared a room together, and I was sat down with them, talking to them and explaining all about my mission to help others. The defensive sister began to warm up to me, and I was allowed to have a sleepover with them two of them.

Then the next day, somehow, my parents in real life were there. It was like they were there on holiday for some reason in that same house. My dream self saw nothing strange about that, accepting it. My mum washed my clothes, and I took forever stumbling around, looking in every box to try and find where my own clothes were. (Considering having to go around villages naked if I didn't find them!) I finally found them, and was really relieved..!
Before I left the house to carry on my journey, it turned disturbing, the two young adults wanted me to take their budgies. So I did, but then the budgies started to eat one another in their cage. I was shocked, scared and disturbed.

      ~+~+~+~+~+~

That's what I remember from the dream.

I'm a woman, 30 years old, (and was the same gender and age in the dream), my current situation is I'm unemployed at the moment. However I'm currently seeking work every day. Jumping on every opportunity that is relevant to my skills.

Thank you for looking at my dream, and I look forward to your insight into what it means.

      Thank you everyone~

      Travelling

      Hi there, Skaybre,

      Let's look at it....

*Keep in mind here, that I am not aware of whether you are on foot... (reminiscing?) Or if you are driving or how you are going about this as you talk about "traveling".....

Are you single? The dream saying "I am on my own"... Either way, you are going ("travelling"). There is a key here...

The dream talks about how you are not interacting with those around you.... ("-and not interacting with any of the civilians-")... Some opportunities missed ("-that went by.") The "villages" may be offices... **I usually interpret them as individuals, rather, in higher places or of greater authority. Usually "building/structures" represent people as we view society outside of self or our own structure .. ie: house, hospital, church.. etc..

Well, it didnt work the way I'd hope... so, I wont try the re-edit thing.

Let's try again... This is going to be long...

"I seemed to be completely focussed on my mission,-"

((Dream says you only have one thing in mind. A certain goal you have set for yourself.))

I remember feeling angry throughout this section.

      ((*I understand))

When I got to a castle

((*It would be interesting to hear you describe the "castle" you found on your journey as there are two ways of viewing the subject... One is a group of buildings fortified against an attack... Another castle is described as being a magnificent and imposing mansion...... However which... it is where you had gotten..... *if there is glass in this building, I would not doubt it is an office building.

I began to scout out those who were in charge,

((Something you are looking for ("scout")... People in charge are often in higher positions... supervisors.. management.. etc..))

they were tyrants who were oppressing the civilians,

((Dream says you don't like the way the people are being treated that work there... "-oppressing-"))

making certain they all did as they were told.

      ((Yes... work))

Making them work endlessly to death, and not give anything back to them.

((overworked.... *symbolically: "death" = great changes... things that will no longer be the same are often viewed under this symbol))

      Along with the tyrant king

((Interesting! A tyrant is one who who exercises unreasonable oppressive control of others. Here, this one is a king... One in higher authority, often inherited. But, definitely a male figure.

      though were mages

((magicians? People who create things and make them happen....?))

who I didn't seem to factor in the chance of running into them.

((Ahh... So, you ran into them....? This was a problem for you.... The people who start stuff... and have the power to make things happen..))

At that moment I was hurt, and forced to retreat.

((Dream says what they did effected you and you had to give up what you were doing...))

When I was retreating I came across this pink cat who spoke to me. She sympathised with my plight,

((a female friend ("cat") pink...? someone listening to you.. If not, may be an aspect of your own character seeking sympathy within.

and invited me back to her home to rest up.

((yes.. could be... Either way.. You are to wait for something... "rest up"...))

      Then the dream switched

((**I should say, when the dream becomes something else, completely different from the original.. It is that the dreamer has changed the thought on the subject and it usually becomes a completely different matter the dreamer is focused on...

I believe the subject is still the same, unless, of course, you. as the dreamer, are referring in memory other aspects of the original part where the cat came in....))

Going to cut it here so as not to bore you.....

      Continuing...

when I was invited back to this cat's home.

((Someone's home... a house is the structure of the self, i should say... It represents how we see ourselves in society. The description is not necessary in this case as it is someone else's home through invite.... It is a sign that you are welcome in a personal space of someone you can trust..... "this cat's home"...))

She became a girl in her early twenties, and invited me into her home where she introduced me to her sister (also the same age).

((Here is opportunity.... something you are or may have been invited to do.... "introduced" + "invited"........... Looks like you might be around a bunch of young folks ("early twenties" + "same age"))

Her sister was more defensive around me though, and didn't trust me at first.

((some restrictions "defensive"..... You're shy, or you may be self conscious.... "didn't trust me".....))

      They shared a room together,

      ((dual positions... "shared"...))

and I was sat down with them, talking to them and explaining all about my mission to help others.

((A discussion about the things you can do.... your ability to achieve.... "my mission"))

The defensive sister began to warm up to me, and I was allowed to have a sleepover with them two of them.

((Someone accepting... "warm up"...... You get to stay..... "have a sleepover"......))

**I should say.... I get the impression that the dream is talking about an interview you were on... If so, the dream hints that you got the job as you get to stay there......

((**Kinda lost here.. as I'm not sure if you're still talking about the dream... ))

Before I left the house to carry on my journey, it turned disturbing,

((Assuming this is still the dream.... again, the structure of "house" is self... So, some state you find in your life is disturbing you...))

the two young adults wanted me to take their budgies.

((**Not sure what this creature is; but, the dream talks about something you were given the responsibility to watch over.))

      So I did,

      ((you took it...))

but then the budgies started to eat one another in their cage.

((If considering these as birds, symbolically, they would represent people who gossip and talk... Not sure... But, it appears they are where they supposed to be... **workstations?..... The disturbance in the force... er.. the cage... is that they are attacking each other "eat one another"........))

I was shocked, scared and disturbed.

This is really, really interesting, Adreamer2!

Thank you so much for just taking the time to really look at my dream in such detail ~ I appreciate it! (And your words would never bore me, I appreciate you giving me such indepth feedback! ^__^)

You've analysed the dream really well! I should say at the end of last year I received a really unfair dismissal from my last job, and have since been trying hard to find other work (so it could be that was my main focus? Or it could also be that I feel wronged, so wanted to make a stand in my dream towards those involved?). It could be that the tyrant was in fact management who decided they would get rid of me, I always thought of management being high up in their ivory tower (so a castle representing that would definitely be accurate), and the mages/magicians could have been the ones delivering the bad news to me. At the time it happened in real life I felt so completely helpless against what they were saying.

I've had amazing friends who have supported me from the beginning of that too, always listening, so perhaps they were represented in the cat? Being my saviour through the whole ordeal that took place? Helping me to rest up before the next battle?

This would make a lot of sense, I am a shy person and pretty self conscious, but am gradually learning to open up to those around me. Those I feel that I can trust, it could be that I'm really learning to open my heart to those people I see in my group?

That is really interesting; I have had a lot of job interviews lately! So it would make sense that that had been in mind, and has come through in my dreams. I have spent a long time talking to, and explaining myself and my dreams for the future. So that would definitely make sense!

(And yes, sorry for the confusing part ~ Yes, that was still a dream, it was pretty confusing and all over the place dream last night..!)

Yes, it might be that the birds refer once again to the first part of my dream. How I felt in the job where I got the dismissal? Perhaps they're representing the ordinary people I worked alongside, those who gossip, etc?

Thank you again so much for taking the time to read through my dream in such depth! I appreciate it! You have definitely given me so much to think about. I think I'm still having an internal battle with stuff that happened last year, but at least it seems my dream self knows she's not on her own!
