Who is this girl in my dreams?

My dreams are over a period of years, each dream is a scene from the same story, but what I've found is they are not in order, sometimes I have the same dream a few times then my next dream is either the prequel or sequel.

The first time I had the dream was about 20 years ago, I must have had the same dream about 20 times before the next scene.
I was a soldier in a futuristic war, I was in a room with more soilders all getting a briefing, we was kitted out with armour and guns ready to storm a building, I'm not in the army so I dont know rank titles, but the main guy turned to me and said you first, I walked up to him and he pressed a button on the wall and a blue portal appeared in the doorway, everyone else fell in behind me. It's at this point in my dream I remembered everything, it's as if I'd already been there and done it. I stepped thru the portal and went to a room to the left and shot some sort of alien soldier that I knew would be in there, I shouted to follow me and we ran down a corridor and into what appeared to be a foyer of a theater with two big winding staircase going up, I said to get behind the staircases cos I knew they would be coming thru the front and side. We took them down quickly but more was going to come, I told them to follow me again but everyone started scrambling around when the rest came, I ran up the stairs but no one was following , i could hear shooting and big non human footsteps quickly behind me, i kept running upstairs till i got to the top floor and looked around and ran over to the other side of the room, i reached down and lifted a hidden hatch that i knew was there, i feel I've been there many times. There was stairs under the hatch that I went down. I entered the room of a girl, she wasnt there but I could tell that it was used recently, it was all neat and tidy with no dust, I felt sad for some reason but I dont know why, there was a hole in the wall covered so I looked out, there was a big drop down but like a scaffold frame which I climbed down , I was left behind and no way to get back, I had to set up a base in an old railway tunnel that had a room and stairs going up to the ground level. I saw the girl from a far looking within the rubble of the town so I followed here and witnessed her climbing up the scaffolding,

Next scene, I'm walking thru a coastal town, it's only small and in the centre was a ring of shops, in the centre of all the shops was steps going down into a grassy area, I walked past the shops and it opened up to a promenade on the coast, I went and sat on the seats and looked down and say a book laying on the floor so I picked it ip, I remember being able to read the book, I became aware that I was dreaming at this point and thought how am I reading this book that I've never read before. Then I got back up and walked past the town, there was a gang of people hanging round some fire escape steps I could hear music and people laughing in the building, they must have known me because they asked if I was going up, I said no and continued walking down the lane, which led to a cobbled street, I started walking up it and it got steep, halfway up there was an exit to a side street, I could see a pub, there was a green clover above the door so I'm assuming it was an irish pub, I could hear people inside but I continued up the cobbled street, at the top was an aboanded house, it was quite big, I walked past it and along the road, most of the houses were abandoned, I walked to the end of the short road which was a cul de sac. I stopped outside a house that was set back and just stood there for a while looking at it. Then I walked away.

      Next scene.
I was at a small facility, I walked thru the glass doors, it was wood and looked new, the main door inside the waiting room was locked so I tried a door to the left, I swung it open and the walls and floor were splatted in blood, there was a circled of blood the whole diameter of the floor as if a big group of people were made to walk in a circle, i quickly left the room to be greeted by a woman, she tried to grab me and shout so I swung around the banister and kicked her in the face, and ran from the place.

      Next scene

Its night and I'm in a city I can see the girl across from me I shout out, that I'm not scared of her, she runs at me and tries to fight me, I think I hurt her at some point because I feel like we was partners once.

      Next scene

Me and the girls are being chased, people in cars are after us, we go down a side street and looking for somewhere to hide, she sees an open garage and we run over and close the door. We hear them go past.

      Next scene

At some point we get caught, and are knocked out. We wake up in a cage at the top of a diving platform, it suddenly gets pushed off and we hit the water and start sinking fast, I see her holding her breath, her hair I'd waving with the current of the water, she is frantically trying to get out, I'm thinking it's pointless trying, I can see the panic in her eyes, it goes black. I wake up to being dragged out out the pool, I can see her being dragged out too, her eyes are closed and I dont know if she is alive or dead, I pass out.

      Next scene
I'm stood in a field looking over at the facility again. I make my way over, its derelict and run down I enter the building all the windows are smashed and all the furniture is thrown around, I hear talking and walk round the corner and see a couple of guys and girls just hanging out, I put my hands up and say I'm no trouble I just want the files, the give me the nod and carry on as usual.

I've had other dreams with her but they are at the back of my mind. I'm sure I'll have the dreams again but clearer.

Like I said these dreams dont appear in order and I've never met the girl, I have a different feeling when I have these dreams. I dont know what I'm trying to figure out or even the meaning

These dreams seem sort of like mine in a way. Do you feel like you are you, in the dream? Were there any behavior changes did you feel, in the dream? What did the Dream Character's look like? Technically, all dream characters are apart of you.
File? What file? Where or when did you receive or made this said file... It reminds me of something from a couple of my dreams. Weird.

It's me in the dream, I think I am trying to locate someone, that's what the file must be, its set In a post apocalyptic style. The dream feels real, like I'm reliving it. I see it through my eyes and not as a third person.

Did you try asking this girl nicely, who she is, in the dream? Perhaps you have to look more inward to figure out who she is.
It's just weird that you mention files, though: There is this dream that I had where I was working among other things, on a quantum physics formula that had something to do with dream-sharing. However, it was stolen by someone in one of my dreams. Those dreams were chronicled like this. : https://www.dreamviews.com/general-d...ml#post2235310
I know in at least one of my dreams I had blood tracks, one I was on a bike with Groot by my side and I was bleeding from my leg, I was in a lot of pain. That dream on 12/25/2019.
Then there was a line of blood in my other dreams where I went back to 1989. That dream was on 12/26/2019.

      Yeah, Perfectly not confusing, right?

I read your dream and its interesting, I never get to speak to her as we are constantly running. And it's only been recently that I got to see her face up close and that's when we were in the cage underwater, but the colour was off as we were ar the bottom of the pool so I couldn't tell what colour her hair or eyes were.

Sometimes these dreams don't mean anything and you are just there for the ride.
What country did this take place? Why do you think your subconscious telling you to run?
-To dream of the apocalypse signifies an emotional and dramatic change taken place. Consider the type of apocalyptic end of the world events associated with the dream to get some better clues. Look into your feelings, and actions to survive, as they can be your attitude to face difficult times. Apocalyptic dreams typically tie to the theme behind the apocalypse.
If the apocalypse is happening in the dream, it reflects the starting transitional period. If the dream features post-apocalyptic wasteland dream, it is a reflection of your waking life’s attitude to a bad life situation. A situation was that so bad that you would consider it as the end of the world.
Perhaps, it's someone in your dream that represents, someone you regretting losing in touch with?
      1. Do you feel like you are still not good terms with someone?
      2. Do you feel like you don't measure up to something or someone?
      3. Why do you think you felt the need to find this girl?
      4. Are you under any stress?
Perhaps an obsession with something is getting in a way of resolving issues with life?
How did you feel before went to bed?
Did she remind you of anyone that you knew in real life? Like her behavior?
Can you make out the shape of the face? What does her body build looked like? Is she a tall, thin, perfect bone structure? What was her hair color, again? What was she wearing?
I also remember a few days ago, fighting some woman named Rose on a dock somewhere in China. She spoke perfectly in Cantonese, I understood perfectly. She was a long blond hair girl with bright blue eyes and soft features. She has had a small thin build. I would say she was about 5'4'' feet tall. She was wearing a green and black ninja outfit on. I think my dream character in my dream was sent by the Mad Scientist who pops up from time to time.
You know what they say, "Every Rose Has its Thorn".
I've even had dreams that were parallel to my own.
Do you keep a journal? Think back, was there something in your waking life that may cause you to dream these dreams. Like a tragic event?
Whatever your subconscious is feeling before you go to bed, I don't think it matters how or what your conscious feels. Whatever is on your subconscious it will project in your dream. I guess you can say that about your reality as well... I mean, in the dream, if you feel sad, sick, scared, tired or angry before you enter the door into this waking reality, it projected into your dream reality.
Seriously, If you are like me, you probably had dreams like these. : https://www.dreamviews.com/general-d...ory-dream.html

That's a lot of info to take in lol, it's set in the uk, I've had these dreams for at least 20 years, I've never really suffered any bad situations, I'm just trying to work out why she is constantly in my dreams, maybe I have just signified her with dreaming so when I dream I naturally put her in. Shes about 5ft 5 shoulder length hair, maybe green eyes, with a thin body build. Maybe my dreams mean nothing but they feel so real.

How are you with Lucid dreaming control? Have you ever summoned a dream character? I'm sure that there are some tutorials threads out there on this forum that might help you. Ask her what she wants with you? If anything, try or keep trying to ask her something. However, it may be better if you are lucid when you do so. So that you can focus on your question(s), you know? Like her name? Start small so you won't get overwhelmed with the big picture. *Shrugs*
Did you happen to dream about being in Oxford, England by any chance?

I e never dreamed of oxford, but once woke up and wrote down 75 Winchester, I couldn't remember writing it and have no idea what it means, I've tried lots of techniques for control over dreaming but most times I just fall asleep and have a fee dreams and wake up, the only time I had true control is when I was sitting at the sea front and picked up the book. I also have a little control when I have flying dreams as in when I fly like superman.

Have you ever practiced "All day awareness"?
I think you could also use the girl like a dream symbol, every time you see her in your dream, you could try to a reality check. I guess you need to start somewhere. This may help. Here: https://www.dreamviews.com/wild/1255...tals-q-22.html
      Or this: https://www.dreamviews.com/general-l...igns-read.html
      -------
Dream sign - a telltale sign that you're dreaming, which can be something present in the location of the dream, an anomaly regarding your actions (you're more confident than normal, for example), or another obvious signal that you're not awake at the moment. A flying pig, being in an unknown location, or being on the run from a person you've never met all scream "you're dreaming!"

Reality check - a quick action on your part that allows you to confirm whether you're currently dreaming or not. If you become aware of a dream, you need something to make sure you're not awake, or you could end up losing your awareness. Certain things work differently in real life than in dreams, and these are deemed "reality checks".
      List of reality checks:
Plug your nose - this can be slightly awkward to do in real life, but it may be the most reliable RC yet. Plug your nose and try to breathe through it; in real life, you'll feel pressure in your nose and chest, and obviously won't be able to breathe. Here's the catch - in a dream, you won't feel any pressure, and the air will rush into your lungs as if nothing was blocking it! Be sure you know this reality check because it rarely fails!

Count your fingers - Look at your hand and see if you have the proper amount of fingers. In a dream, you can have fewer or more fingers, as well as fingers sprouting off of other fingers... Quite a sight to behold.

Digital clock - Look at the time on a digital (not analog) clock and see if the time is unrealistic, like 1:98 or 8:62. You can also look at the clock, look away, and check the time again to see if it's changed; it may even change before your eyes.

Reading - Sometimes in dreams, writing can be distorted or nonsensical, and change when you look away and look back again.

Push your finger through your palm - Try pushing one of your fingers through the palm of your other hand. It may take a bit of effort, but if you're dreaming it will go through as if you were a hologram or made of jello.

Lights - Turn a light switch on or off to see if the light levels change. In dreams, the switch may not do anything, or the lights in the location could be dim.

Location - Where are you right now? Can you remember how you got there? In a dream, you can have no memory (or false memories) of how you ended up in a certain place, or you may be somewhere you shouldn't - such as on mars.

Gravity - Expect yourself to float upwards and see if you do or not. Or, simply see if you can feel gravity acting on you right now.

Grogginess or lethargy - In dreams, sometimes you're groggy and do things without really thinking about it. Sometimes you can feel tired like you do when staying up late at night.

The next step? Choosing the right technique(s) for you!
Be sure you have a couple of the reality checks above memorized, most importantly the nose-plug one, and put them in your LDing toolkit. You're going to need them once you become aware of a dream.

Like I said these dreams dont appear in order and I've never met the girl, I have a different feeling when I have these dreams. I dont know what I'm trying to figure out or even the meaning

      Who is the girl?

There are almost always to answers to such questions about dream content...the objective one and the subjective one.

The objective one is that other dream characters are a part of your total psyche which is, in turn, composed of many constantly changing "personality centers" which act in a coordinated or uncoordinated manner with respect to each other. Typically same age characters are closer to the "ego" of the dreamer in terms of development. The sex of a character has, in my experience, correlated with one of two styles of ego development: the cooperative (feminine) vs the separative (masculine).

The subjective one is that a dream character is modeled after one or more other people who you have met or actually know. The way you speak of this girl...can you say that she is the same girl across different dreams because of some visual quality to her? Or is she just a roughly same aged young woman whom you couldn't pick out in a crowd except that you just seem to know it is her?

Throughout these dreams, for the most part, you choose to act in a way that leads to isolation. Even when you are with "the girls" you are moving as a group to get away from "others". This indicates that your ego's style of development is highly separative. You are, in this sense, trying to maintain conscious control psychologically by isolating yourself and attempting to retain conscious power and control in a "central" way. The complement of that is to develop the ego in a way that it sees itself as part of a greater whole, that is plays its part and does not want central power. In a world full of people, or a psyche full of differing personality centers or inner voices you have to keep moving to keep away from others and the coordination or cooperation that this requires. It is a constant effort.

The girl is that part of yourself that would choose to stop doing that and to start defining yourself in terms of how your ego relates to those other inner voices. Instead of avoiding all the pubs and even the abandoned house (various ways to construct a lasting ego structure) you should try one out. Instead of getting the "file" you should "hang out" with the other voices.

Now this "should" is always deceptive. There is a reason why your dreams speak of you as a isolated personality. There is strength in your separation as is shown in your leading the charge of the military group. But that experience ended with your complete isolation. This is a valid way to build ego strength but now your dreams are showing you that there is another complimentary, opposite approach...relationship to the other voices within. Power sharing.

One way to perhaps take a definite step toward knowing who this girl is is to give her a name. In my own dream work I chose the name that my parents had once told me I would have been named if I had turned out to be a girl. Just give this girl the honor and respect of a name. Use you imagination to imagine meeting with her and allowing her to speak or to lead you somewhere. Give her some strength and control in your mind and she will show you who she/you is/are.

I really appreciate your in depth reply, and I wont lie, even though i have a partner and 3 children i still like the feeling of being alone, and sometimes even in a crowded room of friends I feel alone, sometimes I dont even speak as I feel I have nothing in common with anyone, and without sounding arrogant and full of myself I almost feel I am on a different level than everyone around me, is this is being reflected through my dream? Maybe. I'll try to follow your advice and go into that house that I stare at, and I'll try come up with a name for her. Thank you again.

      You are very welcome.

I want to add that there is a spectrum of isolation in these dreams...the military dream, i suspect, speaks to an overall development over your life starting with a default team psyche which evolved into a strong central character who leads the fight...then in further proving your personalities' centralized power it ascends to the top but through repeated experience knows that there is a need to move down again and this is the space of the feminine/cooperative within your own psyche. Your team up with "the girls" probably reflected an experience from the day before the dream where you acted in a more coordinated fashion somehow. The "file" may also represent "sharing" albeit in a more abstract way. In fact, the "shared file" may represent a compromise between what you see as your way and the way of the girl. So these dreams do not only speak to isolation but also to efforts at cooperation within your psyche.

I also want to be sure to fully acknowledge that your isolation is the strength and valid basis of who you are but in that strength you are also strong enough to recognize that there is its compliment within you that has the potential to augment/balance your strength with a more whole context in which that strength finds its value to yourself and others. I certainly speak from personal experience here and recognize that this is a lifelong effort. In the psyche our strength is simultaneously our weakness. Learning to understand that is a powerful and difficult balance but it may become the most important effort in one's life. IMO.

The ideas I have communicated here are strongly based in Jungian psychology. They reflect an understanding of the psyche that permits a person to understand how what their mind spontaneously produces reflects the state of one's own psychology and also to proactively address matters in one's mind in such a way as to anticipate and avoid conflict in one's external life and even find deeply new ways to appreciate what one already has.

Thanks for the info, I will definitely look into jungian psychology to understand it more, as I know things like these would take pages to properly explain.

I don't mean to sound dismissive, but without reading anything on this thread I can say that it is commonly believed that all DCs are manifestations of various pieces of your own identity. This girl is a part of you.
