could someone please interpret?

Hi, I had a dream a couple of nights ago -- pretty sad actually.

In the dream, a friend of mine (she's female, I'm male; are we close? Yes. Did I recently grow to want to be more than friends. Yep. Had I told her at this point? Not yet, but I did so later that night. Thumbs down -- ugh) either developed amnesia or... somehow had at least some of her memory erased. So, obviously, she had to piece her life back together, I guess. I'm not sure how much of her memory was gone, but she certainly didn't remember me or anything about us being friends. I suppose someone must have told her we were friends, but I couldn't explain or show her why (for some strange reason). I didn't know how I was going to build the previous relationship back up. All the inside jokes and everything. And then none of this was really clear to her. She didn't understand why we were friends, so she just kind of went on her way. And there I was: essentially a stranger to her, suddenly with no evidence of having anything in common.

I know. Very sappy, but I was asleep when I saw it, and that's what I saw. No control over that. And it SUCKED! I don't feel as bad in real life as I did in the dream, but obviously my dream was a much more heartbreaking situation.

I'm a bit confused. Was this girl just a character in your dreams or is it someone you know in life and have the same feelings for? Did you actually confess your feelings for her or is that something you plan on doing.

With a little clarification I may be able to help interperet your dream.

It's someone I know. I hadn't told her before I had the dream. I told her later that night or the next night. After I had had the dream.

My guess is, that your dream was telling you that expressing your feelings to this girl wasn't going to yield the results you were hoping for. It sounds as if that is pretty much what happened. Further, I think that your subconsious was telling you that you might have been reading more into this relationship with this girl then there actually was.

Tough break man.There will be other opportunities, perhaps before you know it.

Attempting to be more with a friend is always scary, because you fear that it will cause turmoil in your friendship if that's all they want.Your dream was just expressing that fear that things would change between you two, or that she would abandon you as a friend just because she doesn't want to date you.
