so what exactly are you asking? |

i have had a few very simmilar dreams they are all set in the same pine forest with really old trees... and there is a giant magpie (about 3ft high who seems to be almost infinately wise). we talk about philosofical stuff but dont actually speak. i can hardly remember what was disscussed but what i can came from the first dream, which was the longest, i can only remember the final moments of. The magpie asked me to look around and tell him which tree in the forest was the most beautiful, i looked around and to my left about 100m away was a tree that had half fallen over and the sun light was lighting it up perfectly, so i chose that one but i had a feeling that i was wrong. Then the magpie looked at me intensly and the sun (which was located directly behind him) slowly moved all around the horizon, as it would in a artic summer, and as it did it lit up every other tree making it stand out just as much as the first one did. the whole time i was in this dream i was completely concious that i wasnt on earth or in 'reality' but i felt really energised and the whole time i had been sitting in the lotus position comfortably (i find it uncomfortable in reality) I have encountered the magpie at that place twice since but what i have said above is my best memory of any of my encounters. the magpie seemed to be showing me that there is hidden beauty in things... good advice but ummm... yeah giant magpie talking telipathically to me about philisopical issues in an old growth pine forest? |

basically does anyone have any opinion on this... significance... anyone else talk to big animals? and was it a 'lucid' dream, because i did not feel at any point i was in control of the world i was in... |
|
it sounds like some bird in a forest was trying to show you the beauty or light of everything. if there's more to interpret, it's probably up to you. |
|
yeah i took the hiden beauty message from it, but the whole thing just doesnt sit like a normal dream the magpie was directly showing me that message and that is a fairly unusual thing... i guess i dont know exactly what im asking im just sorta throwing it out there. i have had alot of contact with magpies though... i hand reared two and one of them still visits on occasion, i have had flocks come and soround me and one died in my hands the other week... i dont know what point im making by saying that but it seems pretty related |

Some people believe in Spirit Guides (sometimes called Guardian Angels depending on your religion). When, and if, these spirit guides appear to us these supposedly take a form which is familiar to us. (angel, or magpie?) Now this may or may not be a part of your subconcious. I personally have not come across my own spirit guide as such. |
