Australian spider dream - what's this all about?

I need some help figuring out what this spider might represent:

In the dream, a spider jumps out at me from the baseboard of a wall, probably from a gap or crack. At first it's not very big, but then it grows to the size of my hand. It has orangy-red transparent stripes on a whitish body. Somehow I know that it's an Australian spider of some sort, and I'm scared because I know that Australia has some very aggressive, venomous spiders. I run from it, and it follows. It doesn't bite me and I get away.
