Something that i have been noticing lately

My boyfriend is in nearly ALL of my dreams. and the dreams are usually weird and wacky or scary. i hope nothing bad going to happen to him.

But um, what does a blackout mean, like in a big area such as a gym. all of the lights just suddenly went out.
      What does THAT mean???

People often dream of what they have been around or thinking about, so that could explain why your boyfriend was always around.

As for the blackout, I would need to know some of the circumstances, i mean were you at the gym watching a basketball game, were you hanging around in P.E. class...

All males in a dream represent an aspect of your own mind and show how your mind is thinking. Each one can personify a specific idea you have. Your boyfriend can suggest an idea that you might be particularly fond of and also focused upon as he is in nearly all your dreams. This can be an idea you may have about your boyfriend or even about the idea of having a boyfriend. When you say the dreams are usually weird and wacky or scary, you can see the kind of position that you are putting yourself into when using the idea you have in mind.

A blackout - one referring to all the lights being suddenly turned off - would have a similar meaning regardless of the location in which it occurs. With light, one sees things and thus when "in the light" one is "in the know" - one has knowledge and information. Thus when a blackout occurs, it would simply imply that in a certain situation you are suddenly left "in the dark" - very lacking in knowledge and information. The situation now appears very unenlightened and lacking in intelligence. The volleyball can suggest a situation pertaining to your handling of emotion (which is represented by a round ball) or perhaps literally to some sport activities.

Ok. But what I'm just wondring, what if the blackout wasn't caused by someone turning the lights out, like if it were a storm or electrical or something. would it have the same meaning? sorry if my question is dumb

In answer to your question, Gina, yes the blackout would have the same meaning if cause by a storm etc.. I probably should have said "lights going out" which would have included the idea of being turned off or as a result of some other cause. No matter how the lights go off, the main point is that one is left in darkness.
