      One of more gory dreams...

Another dream, I rmemebered some others but this stuck out

Me and some other people were pretty much in jail cells. Except they were glass, and everyone could see everyone else. There was one sergeant or something (it was governmont operation) who walked between all of us checking us and whatnot. Now, here's the interesting part: we were torturing people. Interrogating them for I don't remember quite what, but it was minor stuff, not crimes against humanity or anything, but not parking tickets either. And we'd ask a question and they'd deny it, we'd do some pretty sadistic stuff to them. I remember watching one guy said no so the agent put a contraption over his head and something just shot of the center of his head, a blood spattered red object, and HE WAS STILL ALIVE . I had to rip the top of a guys skull off with a another contraption. I was saddened by the whole situation, torture if denial, dead if acceptance. He said it didn't hurt that bad, and I admired him. He said I have to do what I have do to and he could to take it. either he understood I was sympathetic or he just decided principals came first and was willing to take punishment.
Remember that guard I mentioned earlier? Well he was walking cell by cell, checking on the victims. Whenever he wasn't looking I spared him pain, but it was horrible when he came to me. Later, I sprung him and other guys out and let them go, for some reason they looked something like butterflies minus the wings. So I saved THEM, but I couldn't go. I knew I was going to be blamed and the leader WAs suspicious of me, but I wasn't punished for anything so I think he had his doubts.

      So.... Any ideas?
I have a similar dream that fits with this one: Part of a group that's oppressing or hurting another, rebelled against that group. Ask if you want to hear.

Some dreams are so literal and straight forward that one wonders where the necessity arises for explanation.

If I had such a dream I would instantly know that I was morally conflicted. The Institutions of the Authorities involved in my life were expecting a monstrous degree of moral insensitivity from me, of which I was certainly consciously ashamed, but to which I reluctantly complied. I would know that the Dream urged me on to a greater moral assertiveness, and that it was assuring me that all would be well, despite my anxieties of defying the inherently cruel authorities, who, apparently would have their own moral epiphanies if only I would first rebel and take a higher path, showing them a worthy example.
