Well, no. Red is the color of the lowest of chakras. You describe a realm of anger and contentiousness... again a Red World. This is not a very good dream. The Dreamer really needs to rise to a higher level than this.

In one of my first important spiritual dreams, the Lady Oracle appeared half way of a steep tiered mountain and told me "Only those at the bottom cannot go to the top". Well, you dream of the Red Gem and the Sword is pretty close to the bottom, and as my dream would indicate, the worst decision that could be made regarding it is to be complacent toward it and accept it. Positive efforts must be made to climb out of that Red Zone.

Is the Sword important? No. It is only a trap. Acquiring the Sword will only commit one into the struggle and contentions that require its use. It would be better simply to get the hell out of there.
