Extremely Confusing Dream

Okay, well. If it's important, I'm a Sophomore in High School (16 years of age). I don't normally remember my dreams, but this one...This one was weird. Now, this might be fragmented a bit, and I think I may have accidentally filled in some of the gaps with logical assumptions (which of course isn't that good to do for dream recall), but yeah. I'm still working on recalling my dreams. Now, this dream was...oh, probably a week or two ago.

I start in a jungle-like area near a small shack. I somehow manage to understand that this shack is where I've been living for a little while. So, I'm sitting down, and I get up and walk over to my right. I notice this large, gaping cavern with lava (I think--It could have just as easily been some random fictional liquid, because I didn't label it as lava in my dream, but I did know what it was). I'm probably about 100 feet from the old shack now and there are bushes that I'm behind. I see, coming from the cabin a guy who's probably high school-aged, and wearing my school's letter jacket. I just get the feeling that I need to follow him. So, I start after him, at first attempting to be stealthy so he doesn't notice me, but he continues to gain speed. Now, he is not running or moving any more, he just starts gliding a bit and going faster. It was quite odd. Anyway, so I start running, and he keeps gliding fast. Eventually, it ends up so I'm chasing after him at full speed and he's still walking like normal. When I start going faster, the world starts blurring and I feel like I'm going through a skyway like you would see connecting buildings in a city.
At the end of the peculiar tunnel, I lost track of him. When I come out, I am next to a building that I don't know. The area is set up with many picninc tables with a few scattered people sitting down. I see the man (I can't remember his face, but I didn't know him in the dream, and I don't think it's a real-life person that I know) and he has an item that I want. I don't quite remember what it was that I wanted so badly, but he knew that I wanted it (perhaps he had stolen something from me, which is why I chased him).
Other men surrounded him as he showed off my item to them. I went up to him and grabbed it harshly from his hands. He let's me have it, but he starts laughing at me for taking it. Even with the ridicule, I walk away proudly with my special item.
Next thing I know, there's a sharp pain in my back and I start falling.
I wake up with a jolt (this happens to me sometimes when I fall randomly and then I wake up and my body spasms a bit and I get a rush of adrenaline). So I get up tired to go to the bathroom. Thing is, I'm not awake. The bathroom is usually right next to my room, which is in the basement of my house, but this time, I felt I needed to go downstairs. So, I went down, and my mother was on the stairs. She handed me a grocery bag and requested that I hold it for her for a while. I agreed. So, I keep walking down the stairs and I am now in the street of a city at about dusk. There are no cars or anything, though, and I still see the stairs and everything. In front of me is a couch. These may sound like separate dreams until now, but then I see the guy that I saw in my previous dream. He ran at me and dove, but he went INTO me and disappeared. His friends saw that and they ran away.
Now there was a couch in the middle of the street with someone sitting down on it.
I knew who it was before I sat down and looked. It was an ex-girlfriend of mine who I've become good friends with, but now I believe that we are both having romantic feelings for each other once again. I greet her and sit down (I'm still holding the grocery bag, by the way). Then, nothing really happens. I just sit there with her on the couch, staring at the broadside of a building until I wake up. But it wasn't just like sit down BOOM wake up. I actually sat there for (what seemed like) a reasonable amount of time not saying anything at all to her and staring at a building. Oddly enough, I didn't doubt my choice to sit there meaninglessly either. It was normal.

Phwew...That was a long one to articulate...But yeah...What's weird is I remember this a LOT more vividly than ANY other dreams that I've had recently. It's also weird because I completely do not understand the content. The last part may be obvious--I enjoy spending time with that girl, the groceries mean I am willing to do favors for my mother. That's what I've gotten out of it, but the rest I am simply at a loss--Anyone want to try to decipher the meaning of this (again, I apologize for the verbose description)?
