Thread: Weird dream... what does it mean?

(there was a lot of running around in this dream lol). But this time the attic was mobbed and I couldn't find my new friend. This first year girl I know called Lizzie started yellin at me to go back downstairs. All the other people were running and screaming. I couldn't understand it. They were pointing at thin air and screaching that we had to get away from it. I looked around and saw nothing. I asked Lizzie what was going on and she gave me a really funny look and said "Don't you see it!! It's the grim reaper?!" She then burst out crying and ran downstairs.
I got this really horrible sinking feeling in my stomache, the kind you get when you're just getting on a rollercoaster. I looked around and saw it, the dark shadowy figure of the grim reaper. I raced down the stairs and out into a red pick up truck. That was crazy in itself I'm way to young to drive. I know after that I drove around for a while, I also remember looking in a bathroom mirror but the rest is a blur.

It is good to be skilled in one's dreams. being able to provide good pizza, and being known to provide good pizza -- these are both indicators of your favorable self esteem, and also an indication, from the Collective Consciousness, that your self esteem is justified.

When you became self-aware in your dream, you decided to explore -- from bottom to top. The Bottom -- the basement -- was spooky. So you decided to explore above, in the attic. This shows your moral orientation. You choose the High Road. Selfishness and Moral Corruption simply gives you the willies and makes you shiver. You are simply inclined more to be good.

Up in the Attic you make a friend... or rather the Friend from Above makes you. This is a sign that you have Spiritual Sponsorship. That friend in the attic is something of a Patron Saint or Guardian Angel. The Attic is the Spiritual Realm.

But notice what happened when the generality of all your 'friends' and acquaintance went up to the attic. The superstitious lot were able to get spooked by a overwhelming feeling of superstitious fear, contagious enough to infect even you. Yes, Spirituality has a good deal to do with Death, or rather living life to be fit for Death. But Death is rather a fact of Life, and it does one a Spiritual Disservice to live one's life as though Death is no consideration at all. You need to remember from your dream, that until your acquaintenances stirred up worries and fears in your attic, that you had been quite comfortable there and even had friends. Indeed, it was probably your "Friend", your spiritual patron, that was transformed by the projected superstitious fears into taking on the old spooky traditional appearance of the Grim Reeper. Remember that before fear changed his appearance, this was your friend.

Okay... my best guess at this is it indicates some feeling of popularity, being well-loved... if you were to tell us about yourself, particularly your social life in general, this would help.

OKAY! This is perhaps the most interesting part of your dream. The guy you shook hands with is, without almost any doubt, a different side of your personality, or part of your subconscious. Pretty much whenever you shake hands or hold hands with somebody in a dream, this is an indication of this. I had something similar happen in my dreams, which Tornado Joe opened my eyes to.

That he's stuck in the attic? This is also significant. My guess is that this guy, this other side of your personality, has been "stuck" in the attic. That is, you are repressing part of your personality. Given the whole pizza thing, perhaps you are repressing part of your personality in an attempt to be popular, or alternatively you are afraid how people will react if you show them? That said, the fact that you get your friends and try to show them is also significant... perhaps this repressed part of you, you actually secretly WANT others to see??? I dunno, it's hard to tell unless you give us some more background info about you.

I think you should strive to be a little more open-minded...I've come to find there's usually a lot of wisdom communicated in leo's posts--not really in the way I personally would communicate, but then, if everyone were the same, it would be a pretty boring place.
