Very strange... Emotional, I don't understand

This is kind of a strange dream. I woke up feeling a bunch of different emotions all at once... I think this dream deals with some of the stuff that has been on my mind. I may have an idea of what it's about, but if anybody could offer their opinion, I would greatly appreciate it.

Basically, I'm in my friend's house in the basement (it's kind of like the "party room" in real life, they have a bunch of pinball machines and video games (including DDR) down there, and that's where we would all hang out). The basement looked more like my cousins' basement in this dream. Well, not really my cousin's basement- I think it's their 3rd floor it reminded me of. I sort of had this memory of my friend once owning a black leather-type couch, like my cousins had, but she got her light brown, slightly torn older one back. My sister and her friends were having a celebration there, I think. One of her friends is a person she is not friends with anymore. In this dream, I sort of remember/watch them having a party in an indoor, sparkly type place with a pool of water in the middle. I think the walls were black, but not in a threatening way- the place was all glittery/sparkly and had a very nice but aching/wistful feeling to it. It also might have had this kind of mystical feel to it, and I think I might have remembered this place from a previous dream. (What's strange is, in a lot of my dreams I have memories/flashbacks of things that supposedly happened in real life, only it was something I had dreamed about previously.) In my dream, I remembered times we would all play there, when my sister and ex-best friend were young and innocent. I remembered it was the year 2000, when I was around 13, and that's when they first met- and they were best friends. Then I remembered/realized why my sister and all her friends were having this party. It was the one year anniversary since she and her best friend broke off their friendship. (My sister's best friend was also friends with my sister's friends, but they are not on speaking terms anymore.) My other friend was there too, but as usual she had some kind of cold/flu and she went home early. What I also remember is that in my friend's basement, there were these huge DDR (dance dance revolution) mats for the video game. I remember trying to play a game on there, but it was too big.

      ...Whew. Any thoughts?

Personally, it sounds to me as if u were wrapped up in ur life a little to tight. That dream you described sounds like a soap opera or the OC. I think you were just contemplating things that had happened to you in your early teens (you said 13?) that had been a really good/bad influence on your turnout.

      Thanks for replying!

Lol, the dream didn't feel like a soap opera or episode of the OC (types of shows I rarely watch, too...) I don't know if it seemed like that because I included too many details, but it didn't feel fake at all in that respect. I think it had a lot to do with me missing this person my sister was friends with, because we were good friends too. The ending of their friendship was painful and affected our entire family.... and has been affecting my sister's life in a negative way, even years after it happened. Now that I think about it, the dream might have been a way of "blowing off some steam" or something, trying to make me feel better about it... it felt like a bit of pressure was lifted after. This hasn't been something that has been affecting me strongly, but maybe there's something about it I still need to resolve.
