      recurring pregnancy dreams!!!

For the past 2 weeks, almost every night I have a dream about either me or one of my friends being pregnant. One of my best friends actually did have a baby 3 weeks ago so maybe that has something to do with my dreams. Anyway, let me go ahead and describe them to you guys:

dream 1 (involving me): I get up in the middle of the night to get ready to go to the hospital. In my dream, I was having a scheduled birth and being induced. I'm not exactly sure how I get to the hospital, but somehow I do. They give me an IV and I sit in the bed all alone in the room even though I know that there are people at the hospital wanting to be with me (there are no lights on in the room... just the sun shining through the window but it was still rather dark). I keep looking at my stomach (I know that I REALLY want this baby but I feel like I'm not as excited as I should be) thinking that I'm not sure exactly if I'm ready to give birth so, when the nurse comes back, she tells me to go home because instead of being 9 months pregnant, I'm actually only 2 months pregnant. I feel relieved by the news(in my dream, I felt that my pregnancy had gone by too fast) and go home. The only color that I remember in the dream was that the nurse was wearing a pink uniform, everything else was grayish in color.(This dream or one almost the same occurs every night)

dream 2 (involving a friend, a very good friend of mine, whom I'll call Annie): My family, friends (and their families), Annie's family, and I head up to the hospital because we all got a call that Annie was in labor. We all arrive in her room and notice that she's really sad about having her baby. It's about time for her to start pushing so the doctor makes us leave the room and go to the roof of the hospital to wait. It's raining outside and there are alot of people on the roof with us. Then we see nurses pushing around the little baby bassinets. All of a sudden, we see Annie's nurse pushing her baby around and one of my other friend's mother goes chasing after the baby exclaiming that she wants to see the baby but the nurse never stops and for some reason, the mother never caught up to her long enough to actually see the baby. Then Annie comes and sits with us on the roof not saying a word, just looking really really sad and that's where the dream ends.

What does all this mean? Why am I having these dreams almost every night???? Sorry this is so long but I'd really like some insight here

      Hello cutelilvenus.

Your dream could represent that something in your life is being struggled for. In the dream, the child birth could represent something that you are wanting and you are ready to work hard for. The dream also could mean as when you were sent home because you were only two months pregnant instead of nine, this could represent the thing you want is going to be a lot harder to get than you originally thought and will take longer.

In your other dream with Annie, Annie could represent a person in your life (it does not have to be her) who is not looking forward to something good happening to him/herself. The reason that this person is not looking forward to it could be that when this happens, the thing could be taken away from him/her. An example of this would be getting a new car but having to give it back because it was not paid for properly.

      I hope this helped.

Dreams of babies and giving birth are metaphorically almost literal. Birth and creativity. Simply follow the metaphor.
