      Recurring Dream of War

I've probably had about 6 or 7 dreams that I can somewhat remember regarding war in my dream. During this, I range from somewhat scared to somewhat oblivious to what is going on around me.

In my life, I probably have some stress, but I don't tend to get stressed out. I work two jobs (the 2nd is only a few hours a week), and am starting my own business. I take martial arts because I love the art, and this helps quite a bit with my calmness through the day. I am in good health.

The real things I am afraid of, like pain, don't appear in my dreams.

I don't think that war in this case is about fear. In my life I don't really feel confused by doing things, and feel my life is in order.

Also, when in the war dreams, I have no idea who is fighting, who is winning, where I am, or anything else. I do remember one civil-war style dream, but I was more behind the scenes and not involved.

In the war, I never shoot a weapon. In fact, I don't think I am ever holding a weapon.

That sounds like an important consistency in the dream. Perhaps you have different parts of yourself (not outer stuff, like work, etc.) at war with each other. Perhaps you do consciously recognize some sort of war with yourself, but, like in the dream, can't really sort out the sides. If so, then look for hints in the dreams about the "sides". Other sorts of consistencies, like tactics, weapons, settings, etc., might provide these hints.

Also interesting. Combined with the obliviousness, perhaps you feel extremely distant from this personal conflict.

Or I got it all totally wrong. Good luck.
