Fighting
Over the past year I've had 2 or so dreams where I would be in a fight, and swing as hard as I could but I'd hit them really softly, so I'd hit them more.
In one of the dreams I fought I kid I didn't like at school.
And then last night I had a dream I was fighting one of my best friends, and he was on the ground and I hit him about 40 times as hard as I could because I was barely hitting him, and at the end his nose started to bleed just a little bit.
Then I told my other friend about it and she said shes had a dream like that where she was swinging and for the life of her she couldnt hit the person.

I wish I could give more details, but I really dont have anything else to say, I didnt really feel myself hitting him i dont think either?
And he wasnt really fighting back in the dream, it was just me swinging at his face haha.

FIGHTS : Fighting in dreams often links to very powerful emotions. Its a very male thing and usually quite easy to spot. Just think back to the day before the dream. What was the source of aggression in your mind. Did you feel resentful? Did you feel drawn into a heated and difficult situation or did you start an argument? Just simply ask yourself what annoyed you the day before!
KEY WORDS(Try to spot these quotes in your own feelings - especially think of the day before) :
- "He should respect me more"
- "I hate it when things do not turn out right"
- "Why am I always a failure!"
- "confronting him"
- "I just cannot stop thinking about it"
- "I cannot accept it"
- "an epic struggle"
- "struggling against something "
- "reasons to avoid doing something"

look at the definition above and then look for those same emotions within the previous day. Is there anything that you can think of?
-
Not really, I mean we're cool and everything
But my friends mess with me calling me roids or flex or somethin associated with my muscles lol.
I know he doesn't do it really picking on me or anything because he has asked me if it really bothered me he'd stop.
Iunno, that could be what it was, I just don't get why I wasnt doing any damage when I was hitting him.
-
Thats strange... I often get into fights with the most random people, ending up killing them. I feel fine when I wake up... what does that say about me?
I usually have violent dreams.
-
Gawain, you sound like you work hard to change.
Oz, you sound unable to change your friend.
-
Heh. I enjoy most of my violent dreams, because I think I'm far enough along to differentiate my many fictional dream fights from the things that are actually crucial to my conscious, as far as waking life. My dream journal is full of them.
Bring on the nightmare creatures and DC villains. :putemuppunk:
-
o_O I don't want to change him.
And I have dreams where I beat people silly, but I was just wondering why in those 2 I didn't hit them very hard.
-
Oh, well that's very common. A lot of people have the same problem. I used to have it up until about last year, and it still happens every now and then. It's like trying to punch while underwater or something. It's frustrating as shit, but not unusual.
Try just visualizing your punch striking your opponent. Don't think about throwing the punch, just think about the connection.
