Thread: Hot Air Balloon Friend

Okay, so normally my friends and I constantly remind each other that the best person to interperet ones dream is onesself, however, with this dream my friend had, she believes there might be something about some of the symbolization in the dream that could be better interpereted by others. Here's how it goes, as clearly as she could recall to me.

It's a highly recurring dream, and always happens the same way. My friend is packing things up into a hot air balloon, preparing for a journey, but she never gets to go on this journey because the dream ends before she's done packing.

I know it's not much to go on, but it's the most I can confidently remember.

My friend is confused by it because of several things. First of all, she's usually really good a lucid dreaming, so her dreams are normally under her control. This one she can't seem to do anything in, it's just something she's in. Second, she really loves to travel, but is afraid of hot air balloons because she feels she is at the mercy of the wind in them.

She says she's confused, because she often flies in her dreams, so she doesn't understand why she can't just fly wherever she's going, or ride a bird or something. She doesn't understand why it *has* to be a hot air balloon everytime.
