Thread: i was the devil in my dream/ suggestions pls?

any suggestion, is appreciated...i just want to know what anyone thinks on this cus i havent really got any reponse even when i told some of my family and it kinda worries /makes me wonder more why i had a dream like that

Whoa calm down. You gotta give people more than 20 minutes before your like "anyone?" especially when its this late/early. People are dreamin. This post should go in dream interpretation anyway. I don't know much about dream interpretation though. Sorry. Anyways, welcome to Dreamviews.

Anyway, don't bother with 'dream dictionaries' when you're trying to interpret dreams. They're nonsense.

It doesn't necessarily mean anything, and if it did, the person most likely to be able to spot the meaning would be you.

Constantly fighting others is obvisously constant conflict of one kind or another, possibly paranoid personality.
But to dream about being the devil is clearly self condemnation. You have in some way turned bad and a part of you is appalled by what you have become.
You are doing something wrong, your attitude soured, and need to change.

Even when you are killing 'bad people', you must keep in mind that the Paranoid Personality will automatically superimpose 'evil' upon people who are actually quite innocent. it is called 'paranoid delusions'. Mass murderers have them all the time.

Your dreams are doing you a favor, then, by removing the ostensible justifications for all the violence you have been committing, and showing you that you are only killing for the fun of it.

We can go two ways here. We can give you up as lost and hope we don't live in the same city as you do... because if you Dream Persona ever fully integrates with you Waking Self, and has any dominant influence, you will indeed be dangerous.

Or you could attack the problem. Confront your Dream Persona with a Moralized Waking Self in Lucid Dreaming. But first you must become a moralized Waking Self. I would suggest actually going out and getting some Religious Spiritual Protections. Wear Religious Medals. Do some research into Catholic Iconography (they have been successfully bringing back souls from the Dark Side for Centuries). Consciously and deliberated renounce the Dark Demonic Spirits, and implore the aid of the Higher and Divine Spirits. Depart from Darkness and go toward the Light. And do all this while conscious and awake.

When your Waking Self has been uplifted and moralized, then, during Lucid Dreaming, you might be able to integrate some of this regeneration into your Primitive and Evil Dream Persona.

One needs to be careful regarding the behaviors of the Dream Persona. They are not harmless. The motivations and behaviors of the Dream Persona are not far beneath the surface. There is always the danger that in the same way the Waking Self can visit Dreaming, as in Lucid Dreams, so it is that the Dream Persona, in moments of fatigue or stress, may visit Waking Life. and then an indulged Dream Persona killer may actually kill somebody. and you will be telling the police "I don't know... it was like it wasn't really me... like I was just watching myself..." As though you were possessed.

Take it seriously and do something pro-active.

hi monsterkittycat. if you are truly appalled by your dream, i wouldn't go so far as to say that you are a dangerous person. sometimes, we fear or hate something/someaction/someperson so much that it is on the absolute end spectrum of what we consider good. because of this, we are curious. there is nothing more curious than something most opposite of what we know or feel safe with. you may have simply been curious to know what it would feel like to be on that end of the spectrum.

so you were always the one killing bad people. now you were the one killing people regardless of their good/bad status. explore how you felt. did you get a pleasure from it? did you feel regret? what was motivating you to do it and were you thinking about any sort of repercussion?

I would like to hear how you killed them, aswell as what you felt when you did so. Did you feel bad about it, or did you not?

I have had a dream about killing close friends of mine. I was walking out of a store. Two men were armed and tried to assassinate me. As they tried to shot me, a busdriver attempted to run me over. I took cover behind the bus, then attacked the two armed men and killed them. Now I entered the bus, shot the busdriver in the head with a pistol. And now I saw some of my friends in there. I shot three of them in the head. Now I found another one in the backseat. I spilled gasoline I found over her, then I set her on fire and watched her burn. They have not done me anything and I did not feel any regret.

Dream Dictionaries are, in my opinion, pretty useless. The whole idea behind most entries in dream dictionaries is that certain "signs" have an objective meaning. That's rubbish, of course. Dream interpretation is a more subjective process, meaning that, what a dream means depends on the person.

A few questions: Are you personally, religious? Believe in the devil? Also, what did you, as the devil, look like? How did you feel at the TIME, when you were IN the dream, as the devil?

More details would definitely help, notably what you DID in the dream as the devil, and how you felt about it at the time.

A few initial impressions: you say that in most of your dreams, you are forced to kill people in self defence, people that are bad or evil. Perhaps this means that you are on the defensive, that you have to defend yourself against other people or events in your real life. Little control, perhaps.

In this dream, you are the devil, and, from what you say, commit bad or evil acts. That's not too much to worry about, nor is the |"evilness" that important. What is important is that this dream, perhaps, reperesents a secret, or not so secret, desire to take back control for yourself, rather than defending yourself against others seeking to control or hurt you.

It's very hard to interpret this dream without further details, and I feel I may be a fair way of the mark, so, further details would definitely help. btw!

How old are you? When I was a teenager I used to picture a lot of violence, especially when I was close to other people (like on the bus, etc.). They were pretty gruesome, vivid scenes and involved myself killing, raping etc. It was pretty disturbing, to say the least. Often I was also mutilated myself in some bizarre way.

These 'visions' or 'delusions' or whatever you may call it disappeared gradually as I got older and managed to control them myself. Nowadays it happens rarely and doesn't bother me much. I don't think they were especially bad in any way, just some part of puberty stuff messing up my head more than usual. As long as you are certain of who you are and who you want to be, such 'annoyances' shouldn't be much of a problem, from my experience at least.

My intuition is that many people are trying to hurt you and now your heart is starting to harden. That would be sad.
