Meaning of cats in dreams..?

In a gym / statium with very few people running around. Someone's family was there (I'm not sure who), but I was tired of sitting in the statium and left through the back door. I saw two kittens running around. One was white, the other was brown and black (calico, long haired). I tried to pick the white one up but it ran from me, the brown/black one sat and looked up at me, waiting for me to pick her up. she was adorable, and I decided I was going to keep her. I had to go back to the statium where cats weren't allowed so I put the kitten in a little tray/box and slid her into a bookshelf/dresser-thing inside a small utility closet where other people had done the same with other kittens. I told her to keep quiet and I would be back for her. I left and when I was able to come back (after some lady stopped talking) I ran back to the kitten who was sitting there looking up at me again. She was soooo cute!^^ I picked her up and carried her back to the place as everyone was leaving. The next thing I know the kitten is getting smaller and turns into a newborn. I ask my mom to put her in her pocket for me while I go catch the white cat, she does this and I run after the white cat whcih runs from me and then i come back and snuggle with my kitten who's turned back into the black/brown calico.

Reading this dream had a real female feeling to it. I used a dream dictionary. The gym or stadium suggests a need to practice what you got and know. Yet you had to get out of there. It is a mystery what those kittens represents, lifestyles? ideas? roles? The white one may be innocense or truthfullness, and it is something you pursue but cannot have. The brown & black one you can have right away, just not at first because you had to go back to the stadium. Some lady was talking a lot, perhaps lip service or chatter. The you adopt the dark kitten and share it with your mother, but still cannot catch the white one. Overall you sound pretty happy, but you need to find out the meaning.
