Thread: Very weird dream I had yesterday

Well, a body of water tends to represent an emotion. The house typically represents the self. I would think that an ocean hiding in the back "side" of "you" would be an emotion trapped deep in your subconscious. An ocean is a big body of water, and it's been there since you were 8.

Him attacking the water is him agitating the emotion, he's making it worse. You want him to stop, and that's why you got his 45. Death represents change, you want to change his behavior. The ocean moving could be that you are confronting the emotion, by letting it surface from the subconscious to the conscious.

It was healthy for you to deal with this repressed emotion, but look how your dad handles this. He starts chasing you around with a shovel, ready to inflict more damage. It's not always the case that one's dream dad represents one's real dad, but I think it makes sense this time.

This is clearly a strained father-son relationship. The ocean is your emotional world, and is generally hidden. Your father skipping stones along its surface is probably him giving you problems that causes long term emotional impacts. You want him to stop but he won't listen.
Your taking a gun and shooting at him suggests that you said something horrible to him. You immediately regretted it. He was angry and chased you with a shovel. The shovel tends to represent the pursuit of your true inner self, while the chase is resistence to change. I think your father is labeling you in a bad way.

Maybe your dad throwing stones at something you like shows that he might upsetting you in a way, and you getting the gun shows that you want to get his attention or take his power away from him so he will stop throwing the stones.

Hello again!

This is PinkShoes and I know I haven't been here in a long time but I had this dream again last night. I really need to know what it means, because some things were different now. This time to ocean spoke to my dad as he uppercut it. It said "HOWARD HOWARD! NO, NOT AGAIN. NOT IN FRONT OF (PINKSHOES). I AM NOT PLEASED, I AM LEAVING NOW." in a woman's screaming voice that reminds me of someone of my past, but I am not sure who.

I heard that and it made me mad because I hate it when my dad gets violent so I got the gun again. This time when I shot him and I hit him in the ear. He got beat red and growled like a wolf. We were fresh out of shovels, so this time he chased me with a bayonet and a nail clipper. And even though this didn't make sense (my dreams can be very weird sometimes), I was very scared and kept running until I tripped over the cat neighbor and fell into a well. This woke me up.

The ocean was green, warm and non aggressive. Does anyone know what this could mean? This time I will be logging in a lot if I can only find this out!
