I wrote this down more for a friend than anything, so when I say you, I mean her. She and I had a thing which didn't work out thanks to me. There was another guy who'd been madly in love with her the whole time and once I was out, he moved in and it's gone well for the two of them and I'm happy for them. We all know each other from online- I live in NJ, he lives in CA, and she lives in Ireland. He recently scraped up the money to actually fly out to Ireland to be with her for two weeks. I think this relationship may very well end in them getting married in a few years, but I can't be certain because nothing in life is. The thing I'm really curious about is the meaning behind the peaches (I'll explain in a moment). I didn't think anything of it until several hours after I woke up, but I noticed our church was holding its annual peach festival that Sunday and they had two live peach trees (with some small and young fruit) in the building as raffle prizes for something. I thought nothing of it until later. I was visiting colleges down in Virginia with my mom and an hour and a half into the drive, we passed a giant peach orchard (all in fruit). I'm just a little bit superstitious and I thought to myself "If I see another peach tree on the drive today, their relationship will work out." It seemed unlikely, but it was still possible. While we were entering Washington D.C., I happened to glance up from my book and noticed on my right a single peach tree, still with fruit, in someone's yard. That was the third and last time I saw a peach tree. I trust my dreams because they've been right before and I wonder: will they be right this time too?
And now the real thing: I dreamed this one the night of August 12-13, 2006. This dream was extremely long and involved, which isn’t that unusual in and of itself, but I think this one was coming as a result of the thread you posted. You, Brisk, and your parents came with me and my family on the vacation we go on each summer. My cousin Thomas and I kept conspiring with you two to let you get away from your parents so you could have sex- it should be noted that they were being extremely jealous protectors of your virginity here. Myself, my sister, Thomas, his two sisters, my other cousin Rachel, you, and Brisk were told to line up in front of my Aunt Trisha who was assigning jobs (it was like we were in an Italian renaissance city, so the jobs reflected that). I was coming from behind, but stopped when she didn’t notice I wasn’t there in front of her. I would have gotten away with it, but Anna (Thomas’s younger sister) pointed me out and so Aunt Trisha assigned me to work as a printer’s boy, one of the nastiest jobs. I sort of moaned and I remember thinking about slipping in ink on wood, like the job would be dangerous. Brisk had apparently brought a lot of stuff painted gold to hold a big dinner with and was spending a ton of money to get away with you. While the two of you did manage to keep slipping away, you were constantly getting dragged back to the group by your parents. At some point, you, Brisk, myself, and Thomas were all in the swimming pool behind the house we had rented to stay in; there was a peach tree still in flower (and the flowers were magnolia flowers too) but with really mushy fruit still on the branches. This took place in the early evening, like we’d been out all day and everyone came home and was just relaxing. I think that Brisk may have gotten out of the pool and climbed the tree at some point, but this was a few nights ago so I’m not positive. You were out of the pool and hanging around the side for the most part. Thomas and I stayed in the whole time. We had a big food fight with all the peaches since they were so soft and had a lot of fun together. Right after that I remember being in our very long garage where Brisk was pulling out plates that had been spray-painted gold for a big family dinner. My Uncle Jim (the barbecue man of our family) conspired with him a bit and they put together a really great meal. When they announced the dinner, I said something to the effect of “Ha! I so called that!” for some reason, but it was a happy exclamation. Right after the dinner, your parents started accusing you and Brisk of having sex at some point, but you countered by saying that you and Brisk had only stayed behind once to get some sleep in preparation for something. My cousin Emily, Thomas’s older sister, does this a lot in real life. You and Brisk made a run for it after that, with all of us chasing you. You ran past a church, which reminded me of the cathedral in Toledo. The streets were very similar as well- very narrow, twisting, and paved with cobble stones. Thomas and I stopped at the church and asked the priest there if he would marry the two of you. He agreed and performed the ceremony, finishing just as your parents got there. There was sort of an open-air period clothes market just outside the side entrance of the cathedral, and Thomas and I got stuff for everyone, in time for the four of us to wear all the stuff for your wedding. Thomas was really happy because he found an awesome looking eye patch.
