Alrite, its kinda a long story, so please bare with me.

For the past while, maybe a little over a month, I've been having this Recurring Dream. Not quite a nightmare, but its borderline. Here is how the dream plays out... (Laugh all you want, I know its weird)

I'm standing on a nearby outdoor basketball court, and I'm talking with a friend of mine. Thought I recognize her in the dream, once I wake up, I completely forget who she is. There are a few of our other friends playing Basketball or just talking. Then, we hear a low rumbling and look over to my right (her left) and there is a storm rolling in, fast. The clouds are red, the sky is dark. Lightning jumps across the clouds, yet, not a single drop of rain. Everyone stares in amazement. The clouds roll and move every-which-way, and the lighting moves with it. Constantly jumping across the sky. Then, a loud, deep boom of thunder blasts throughout the area and people run. My friend I was talking with began to run, but I stopped her and said she lived to far and to come with me. We went to my place, and saw my sisters scared and crying. She went over to try and relax them. My Dad was watching out the window, out to the front of our house, marveling at the storm. He was just as confused as I was. I join him, and after a minute or 2, I see a red horse and rider walking down the street. It stops in front of my house, and looks in at me. It suddenly enters my home and stares at me. Everyone is paralyzed with fear. Me in front of him, he unsheathes a sword. He motions me away after saying something, though I can't remember what. The only word I remember is "Safe." He pushes me away, and points the sword at my friend. He raises the sword, steps foreward and brings it down. I step in, and the sword hits my shoulder, and stops. I am unharmed. I say something, though I again cannot remember what, and the horse and rider leave, and he dissapears. The sky returns to normal and everything is calm again. It looked as if it never happened.

For those who don't know, the Red horse and rider is the Horeman of War from the book of Revelations in the Catholic Bible.

So that's the dream. Some things happened after it that actually freaked me out as well. The day I first end up mentioning the dream, the evening sky was red. Not as red as it was in my dream, but red nonetheless. I have never seen the sky that red before. Like the storm, it was beautiful. Thankfully not deadly. Then, that night, Me and a friend began talking, and ended up getting onto a discussion of religion without noticing it. We even moved onto the Book of Revelations without noticing it. Then, I remembered my dream and mentioned it. The second my finger hit the key to start writing about my dream, he started complaining about a storm that just hit him in the UK. Complained that the thunder actually shook his house. (I havn't even mentioned the dream yet, I was just typing about it).

More coincidences continually happened. On my forums, a friend posted up a thing to find out some not commonly known info about your birthday. I went to it, thought it'd be fun. Turns out my Birthstone is Peridot. That I knew. What I didn't know was that it had a purpose. Now let me say, this scared the living crap outta me when I read it. I quote: "Peridot is used the help dreams become a reality." One word: Eeep.

When I went to see Miami Vice, they showed a preview for a new movie coming out. Many of you may have heard of it. World Trade Center. Guess what day it came out? MY BIRTHDAY! August 9th. The movie based on the terrorist attack on the US came out on my birthday. Wonderful.

Then I decided to blog about the storm on my MSN Space. I wanted to find some pics of the storm for viewing pleasure. I told my friend Jake that I was looking for some, and his exact words were "Heh, watch you find a picture of the horseman." Freakishly, I did. It was one of the first things I saw. A red horse, rider atop, sword in hand. Scary.

Finnally, Not to long ago, we had a horrible storm. All I can say is wow. It was one of the the worst, but most amazing storm since 1985. Back in 1985 a Tornado passed through my city, Barrie, and litterally passed right over where my house now stands.

Just last night, a storm just passed by and it was utterly mind blowing. The way the clouds moved, their speed, and how they rolled across the sky in such a straight pattern. To top it off, the lighting inside the clouds just made it a sight to behold. My entire neighbourhood was out watching in awe, at the storm rolling across the sky.

It was so dark, yet when the lighting jumped through the clouds, the area lit up. I was trying to find some pictures, but had little luck. Once the thunder really started though, everyone in unison decided to go back inside the storm was absolutely amazing, and scary at the same time. But there was something about it that got to me... the way the clouds moved and the way the lightning moved. I didn't notice this until a friend of mine mentioned something on MSN. I asked if she saw the storm, and then I commented on how amazing it looked and how the clouds moved. She then told me "Hey, its just like your dream." Then it hit me, she was right. The way the clouds moved and everything. Only thing was, at least the sky wasn't red. Phew

I've tried many things, sleeping differently, thinking differently before I sleep. Calming my self before I sleep. Both eating and not eating before I sleep. Many different things. Its still continuing now. Its actually gotten worse and more frequent. It began once every few days, sometimes two nights in a row then maybe a couple nights without it, then it'd be back again. But now its every, single night. Not only that, but just yesterday (and Today) something happened that scared the living crap outta me. I was just sitting here, at my computer. Leaning back in my chair, listening to my music, just like normal. I was relaxing. I had my eyes closed, but I wasn't sleeping or dozing off. Then it just flashed. Everything just flashed before my eyes. The entire dream. I freaked out and actually threw my keyboard >.< Then today it happened again up at the Pizza place I was at with a friend of mine. That got me some weird looks.

I don't know if this means I'm ignoring this too much, if I'm on the wrong track, or if something big is going to happen. But its getting worse.

So what does all this mean? I have no clue. But it is freaking me out.

I suggest reading up on the Red Horseman and the significance of that symbology. If you already knew of the connection before you started dreaming it, the Biblical reference may indeed be what you should interpret it as. If, however, you didn't really know much about the Horseman of Revalations before talking with others about your dream, you should probably look into other possible symbols of the dream that may be indicative of any sort of "message" from your subconscious or something else (if you believe in that sort of thing).

I actually had my first lucid dream because of a recurring nightmare/dream. I actually got frustrated that I was having the dream so much and so gained lucidity through my frustration and recognizing that it was actually a dream. If you do gain lucidity at all, I'd ask this horseman why he is there. You could also try to write down the dream every time you have it... you may start noticing things you hadn't consciously noticed or remember details better if you write them down right after the dream.

While the situations that occurred after your dreams started by seem eerily keen, keep in mind that storms do happen, quite often. You even mentioned that a big hurricane came through your area in the past... it could just be weather instead of significant correlations.

I'd stick to trying to gain lucidity and interpret your dream and avoid worrying too much about possible correlations with your waking life. You may be having correspondences, but until you understand what your subconscious is telling you, it's hard to see what to look for in your waking life.

Yeah, definitely read up on some of the things in your dreams. It might reveal to you what your dreams were portraying.

By the way, I live in Bradford. haha. Like a town south of you.

I actually started try to teach my self how to become lucid. Im having trouble remembering any dream except that one. Asking him why he is there is one of the first things on my To-Do list.

Well, everytime you run into one of those coincidences I hope you're doing reality checks so that they become closely associated.

As for interpretation, it just gives me chills. Keep us updated if you remember more or become lucid. It's very interesting.

Also if you wake up right at the end of the dream you should try dream re-entry, there's probably something you have to confront in there or do different.
