I dreamt I was in a car with a friend and he was by the wheel. And there was a little closed gate ahead of us. And I asked "Shall I get out and open the gate?" as it seemed natural because I wasn't disturb by driving.
He said "No, I will open it" . So he did and drove through it...
Well I felt a bit confused because I could have done it as well as he did.

p.s. Why is this dream important to me?
Well, the friend I'm talking about has proved actually to be (in reality) a false-friend. The last year I happened to work with him when I was abroad. I liked him and trusted, but in the end he betrayed me for reasons I've never understood...

Maybe someone will know the meaning?
      Greetings!
      I'm tired being sorry.

So in this dream of yours your Friend simply drives forward and bumps the gate open with the front of the car, while you had offered to get out and open the gate.

Well, a little damage done to things does not seem to bother your friend. He does not intend to hurt anything, as he just wants to move on with as little interruption as possible, but still things get bumped and scratched the way he does things.

      Bumped and scratched.

When your friend 'betrayed' you, were you anything more than 'bumped and scratched'. You received no serious damage, did you?

And then there is this... your friend is as likely to bump and scratch himself as you. He wants to hurry through life and is careless about it... to you and also to himself. But nothing is seriously damaged. And his ways are direct and even effective in their rough way.

He might not altogether be such a terrible friend to have. He may not be very careful, but he is decisive and capable when and if anything must ever get done, no?

Yea, thank you for your explanation of my dream.

      (I talk now about reality)
AS you did say, I received no seroius damage, but in my mind and soul I felt there was someting wrong...well it happened in NYC where I used to live for some time and I saw how people there are so artificial and shallow. I don't know, maybe this city wasn't meant to me.

Anyway I thank you once again, maybe you would like to make another response or suggestion...?

People in New York are "artificial and shallow". Well, heaven help you if you ever go to California!

Typically non-New Yorkers find New Yorkers to be rude, rude and often times rude. This is because New Yorkers aren't out to flatter anybody and don't care about making favorable impressions. It is a Cultural Thing. From very early in the School Yards the kids in the New York area are leaned on heavily if they try to get by on any kind of phoney bullshit at all. The parents and teachers of the same Culture don't push the kids to act nicey-nice for the sake of appearances. No one is expected to smile for nothing. Its all business.

So I have to wonder where you are from that you see THAT as artificial and shallow. What? Calcutta!

I didn't mean the New Yorkers to be rude. I only meant that I found a kind of total materialism when I lived there with the people I got in contact. Maybe I just didn't brush with the right people. So it is the quesion that I still asking myself.

I'm not from Calcutta, anyway. I'm from Poland.

Oh, no, New Yorkers are PROUD that they are rude. They clain that their Up Front Rudeness should deflect any accusation that they are shallow and phoney. And largely it does.

A New Yorker will not flash a smile and try to flatter himself into your good graces. If you want to do business or hang out, then fine, but if you don't like something... "Hey, buddy, FUCK YOU". No, you will never offend a New Yorker by calling him rude.

Maybe you just resent New Yorkers for not going along with all that Phony Polish crap of yours.

I'm not resent to anyone. I've travelled a bit throughout the world and I got some experiences with different kind of people. So don't take me wrong. The dream in question was connected with a person from NYC, that's it. I as a tipical Scorpio sign try to understand the meaning of whatever happens around me. Is there something wrong with it?
And why do you use the word crap? You don't know me but you judge me.
