I dreamt tonight the dogs. Not big, fierce and barking their heads off. But common monglers, three of them lying comfortably on a bed, half aslept maybe. One of them was lying on its back with the legs up, at ease.
It was at my friendly neighbour's house and I heard somebody say behind my back : "Now while her children are gone or absent, she (the neighbour) has at least the dogs as a consolation."

Dogs are usually interpreted as a good omen, but on the other hand couldn't it be that sleeping dogs may represent either a friendly attitude or a fierce one. Cause every creature while sleeping is not dangerous. But as soon as awaken...who knows?

Has anyone got similar dreams or knows someting about it?

      I'm tired being sorry.

      Hi Rav

Dream symbols do not have simple meanings. They actually have several alternative meanings. Then occasionally they may have no meaning at all. Just because dogs appear it does not mean that they have a meaning. The dogs seem to be part of a wider symbol. The dogs are linked to the quote. In fact the dream reminds me of someone who has a pet to take their mind off not having children. Its like a substitute child. So think how that could link into your life. That the dogs represent a sustitute in some way

      ------------------
Many dreams simply capture the day to day thoughts going through your mind. Of course we can react to major events but much of the time we are making assessments about people around us. We live in a world with imperfect information. When a stranger comes up to you and says something insulting for no reason then we wonder why they have done this. We read into the persons actions motives which are not there. We make an assessment on the very little knowledge that we have. Dreams are often linked to these issues - so dreams then are not so much thoughts of great wisdom. They are rather described as best guesses based on a total lack of reliable information. Think especially of the boyfriend or girlfriend that we suspect of cheating. We read signals but how would we truly know.

One good technique to learn dreams is simply to study dreams which have been understood. Try this page as it features a number of correctly interpreted dreams. They are all on the one subject of hospitals and health.
