Can Anyone Explain This Dream?

Ok, this dream was my first attempt at incubation.
My brother and i have always been pretty different, opposites even.
so i said to myself before i slept "how could i get along with my brother"

and i woke up with this dream:

I remember i was in my old house, like most of my dreams start, looking out the second story window. A blue trashed up car pulled up to my house... then the dream suddenly became my familys vacation spot on a freshwater lake. Although freshwater lakes are usually a dark blue, hardly transparent, this water was more tropical... then i noticed the whole area was tropical, not a lake anymore, but a tropical area near the ocean?
the water was highly transparent, a perfect example of tropical water, light blue and such. the dock area which i was at transformed, the gas pump area became a concrete platform going down in the water, possibly a boat ramp? so the next thing i remember is that i was in the water and sitting down with only my knees in and looking around the dock. This is what is strikingly strange... 2 motorcycles on another concrete platform, wheels partially in the water, completely stupid! I am not lucid yet, so i accepted this and kept sitting there. then the current came and started sucking me out into the open water! i grabbed onto part of the dock, if i let go, i would die, so i yelled for help. My brother came out and jumped into the water trying to get to me, but another strikingly strange thing happened : the current pushed him the other way. He could not get to me because it pushed him to shore. And my dream ends when i let go of the dock, and the current carried me back to the rest of the dock.

I know the reasons why the current carried him the other way, we are near opposite... but i do not understand the motorcycles nor the current carrying me back to safety.

The two motorcycles were an invitation to the encounter (with your brother) to a test ride in the same direction.
Yet still the different points of view that have amassed for years between two of you unable to get into contact. There are too much of contradictions, the distance is too far or too dangerous - the tracherous water.

Well its an intersting dream.

RIVER : streams of energy devoted towards something.
MOTORBIKE : Things happen very quickly

well the curents do show that you are very different. The forces driving your personalities are driving you apart. The motorbike is fast moving and perhaps shows the type of situatuon which you normally encounter each other. The dynamic of the relationship is very fast. You do not get time to really talk or say what you mean. The slightest error in the things thatn you say may mess up the conversation.

well, at the end, i let go and the current pushed me his way, i was just thinking but maybe...

I stand my ground on a problem we have, with a risk of something disasterous. He wants to agree, but he cannot so he gets pushed away. Then in the end, i end up going his way (because hes like 3 times bigger than me.)

Yes the dream would link to something like that. The dream deals with willingness to accept the others point of view. But the currents tend to show that these situations have a dynamic of their own. Sometimes we try to follow how things should be done - we try to communicate and express our true feelings. Yet these are ideals which are often very difficult to live up to in practice. Our characters and personalities inevitably get in the way.
