I am usually not one for interpreting other peoples dreams.
This may be a case as simple as it looks. --Hurdles.
Your dreams put hills , steep and muddy for you to attempt to get up. Is there a case in your waking life that you are striving for a position or stressed about some goal?

hmmm yeah it could be that simple,
the only thing i can think of is , social status in terms of
"striving for a position" thats quite a big aspect in my life at the mo.

Is there something holding you back?
Just with the sand, mud or steepness and the hill alone, all seem to point in a direction of slow forward progress.
Indecisiveness, confidence or a person all as road blocks maybe.

Just taking a stab at it. If you could become lucid I would like to see what is on top of that mountain.

Yeah im having a problem with self esteem and confidence at the moment which is holdong me back in social terms and my job (acting) and yes, i would also LUUUUURVE to see whats on top of that hill, thanks for your help man

Generally a hill will represent accomplishment, so this is definitely about struggle to achieve. What stands out to me is the texture, muddy or sandy.

The mud is a messy situation, and to be walking in it means to be weighed down by a situation, problem or relationship. The sand is about a shift in perspective or change in attitude. Both mud & sand produce a surface without stability for your footing, and thus your inabililty to achieve. What you need is solid ground to trek on. You are failing your goals because you do not have solid ground for your footing.
