      Hello,

i want to share with you a dream

....i dreamt that i was taking the bus to somewhere, i don't know.
I entered the bus and sat down next to a very nice girl with funny glasses.
She said to me : " So, there you are" and i was wondering if i knew her from somewhere. Then she looked to the front of the bus from the inside and I saw a door in the glass window of the bus. She said to me : "Through that door you can get away, escape".
Again i didn't know what she was talking about.
The next moment i got out of the bus and found myself in a dark tunnel, covered with mist and mysticsm. The girl walked with me, very slowly, very seducing, sometimes shoulder to shoulder, she was so damned REAL !!!
I had to go somewhere to avoid this girl, i didn't wanted to fall in this trap, so the next moment i was in my room in the castle and i felt that she was waiting for me outside. I opened up my door and took a look in that tunnel and she came slowly walking towards me, well, walking, it felt more like floating, it was magic, she appeared to be from another dimension, she was a Heavenly damsel !!
I couldn't control myself anylonger and took her hand and quickly pulled her inside my room, i began to kiss her in the most passionate way.......

So the next day i told this dream to Freddy, a devotee who comes here often. A week later he told me he had somewhat the same dream, the same night after i told him about my dream, he had a dream about a blond girl in short, tight skirt seducing him, he was desperatly closing the door for this girl, screaming : "YOU will not enter my room!!".
We had a good laugh about it.

Any thoughts or experiences on this one ?

      Hi Erik

They are all interesting dreams. Dreams to me link to all apsects of our won real life thoughts. They can link to relationships. They can symbolise paranoias or fantasies. They can symbolise our creative endeavors.

But I often find it unhelpful if I try to guide my dreams too much. The dream mind finds its own isnpiration. Your s does too. You try to have very spiritual dreams but find that your own urges and desires and worldly thoughts take over(represented by the girl you embrace).

Also I tend ot think that if sleep gets disturbed by something real then dreams are highly unuseful. So if you want to go to the toilet or you are about to have a wet dream then the dream would actually just reflect real life preoccupations. The dream mind just like our own mind does not like to be interuppted whilst at thought. So if something real is going on(noises and sounds ) then they will take over your dream. So the quality fo these dreams will not be so good. Your real life essays of the soul are of poor quality.

Your dreams represent your own emotional and spiritual battle. They can captyure successes(which probably are the highly spiritual seeming dreams) and the failures

      -----------------------------
Dreams are often very general in their meaning. They do link to the here and now. Each day we make an assessment of the day before in general. For instance we may say to ourselves "I am sick of people walking all over me and just want to assert myself more". These thoughts will often be the subject of dreams. They maybe hidden in dream symbols but that is what they mean.

      Hey man,

thank you for your reply and for providing the links.

You are right on some points about dreams denoting the aspects of real life, i understand that perfectly.
I had some dreams like that, but most of my dreams, as i experience and write them down constantly, are prophetic dreams, one dream of a past life and many dreams given to me or influenced by higher powers , either girls from the astral plane or real life human beings with a higher awareness or coming from the worlds beyond by just anybody there.

I know also that the mind is heavily involved and our own desires are expressed in dreams, such as things happening outside the dreamer in reality, like playing music, i think i have posted a topic here about that, was it "musical dreamfigures aroused by playing music during sleep?".
So dreams consists of many factors.

I posted on http://www.indiadivine.com/audarya/forum53/ some topics and i got a reply from someone who wrote me about things that happen to me, these girls from the astral worlds, i mean, here it is.....

Online book Hinduism's Contemporary Metaphysics has a Chapter 35: "Sleep and Dreams".

Explains that the mind is always awake even though the body is not. When the body is sleeping the mind is still active. That there are astral lovers who visit single, not yet married, divorced, unhappily married people to satisfy their desires. Female are called apsaras, male are called gandharvas. "These are definitely experiences, astral-physical plane interface experiences as real as happenings during the waking day" (p. 548).

"Hindus say there are ...dreams conjured from the needs of the individual and ...another kind sent by the Gods" (p. 549). "Dreams from the Gods come to very religious people who live a disciplined life of sadhana: rise at four in the morning, and living Sanatana Dharma to the best of their ability to understand it (p. 550). They have attracted the attention of the Gods because they have penetrated the realm of the Gods."

So sounds like perhaps when you have certain kind of dream then you may have psycho-social-mental needs that these apsaras fulfill for you. I think best if you read the whole chapter then you understand these dreams within the entire context of where you began in this life as a seeker and your goal.

Also this book explains that some people also have actual Darshan of the spiritual world in dreams. So perhaps that might be impetus for you to say no to apsara in dreams. There are three worlds: Bhu (Earth), Antar (Astral), and Karana (Spiritual). If you rise at four AM and live Sanatana Dharma to the best of your ability, then gradually your bhakti-lata-bija will penetrate into the spiritual realm. It can happen in this lifetime.

Since i believe in these worlds and in Gods and so on, this book is very direct and very helpful to me.

      Anyway,

thankx for taking the trouble for replying and good luck !!.

      Erik.

      Hi Erik

I enjoyed reading your comments. You are open to my ideas and beliefs even though you seem to have a strong faith. I feel as though your faith is part of your enlightenment and thats its you who is leading the way rather than the religion.(if you see what I mean).

I have had premonitions but I think the majority of my own dreams are about the past and particularly about the previous day. In my own experience prmonitions tend also to be linked to the here and now in that they are about events that are VERY SOON to come to pass.

Personally I get confused with premonitions as I have never had dreams and have read of few which help you to actually stop bad or good things happening. What you see is the future and you cannot change it.

I will definitely read your dreams relating to music. They sound fascinating
      -----------------------------
Its always best to work on the assumption that dreams link to something within your own real life. But think of that in a very flexible manner. The fantasies that you have are part of your own real life and capture how we relate to the challenges that we face. In real life we maybe presenting a report at work and having to impress our superiors. Yet within our minds we are facing this challenge with Mel Gibson from Braveheart right besides us. Many dreams link to our fantasies and imaginations. In fact fantasy mixes with reality. Sometimes our dreams will contain some hidden symbolic message bringing us down to reality. This shows that we are aware of our weaknesses. Dreams are difficult to interpret but try to bear in mind certain principles. Dreams link to reality and so try to see what in reality you have been thinking about. What issues kept you awake the previous night? What fantasies were you day dreaming about the day before? What challenges do you face in the day to come and how realistic are you expectations?
