Two dreams here, possibly connected. The first one occured about one or two years ago, and I've considered coming here to ask for help about it a few times, since this is a forum based around dreams, after all... It was a very short(a few seconds), extremely vivid dream:
I was sitting in the classroom of my favourite teacher at school. Front row, rightmost seat in the middle column. This teacher was talking to the class, and immediately said two words: "Orange Day"
The moment he said them, then the dream (abruptly?) ended.
It was the first time I had encountered a dream so vivid, it cut the dream short. It ended up leaving a very strong imprint on my mind, and left me confused. I associate dreams with resurfaced memories/emotions. I tried thinking about some sort of meaning to these two words, but I couldn't think of anything. Nothing came from Google or anything, either.
I was thinking it was some sort of divine dream, or something. Maybe a divine being was trying to provide a clue about a future event, or point me in a direction to aim in life, but I gave up after a couple days.
I think I found the answer to that strange dream, about a month ago. It was further confirmed by my second, super vivid dream a few days afterwords:
I smelt something. I immediately identified it as Jasmine.
Again, immediatly after, it got cut short. This is strange, because I have never smelt that flower because, or even recognise what it looks like. I was again, left completely puzzled, with only the word "Jasmine" to go on. If I am to inevitably find the answer to this one, I think it may take several years again.
The discovery of the answer of the first dream is a long story...
It started with me finding an Manga/Anime called "Honey and Clover". (Warning, Spoilers) It's a comedy/drama, based around the lives of a group of friends in an art college, from first days to graduation. Love triangle, monologues about love, parting ways, uncertain future etc by the main character, etc. The girl in the love triangle is a prodigy in Art, and in the end she is injured and is unable to continue her career, or at least more limited. Alot of it, especially the ending, is bittersweet. I have the entire series as a fansub.
It led me to find another Manga/Anime, called Nodame Cantabile. It's a comedy/drama, based around the lives of a group of friends in an music college. Over the series the Hero gains more allies towards his ambition of becoming a conductor. (This includes the group of friends, he initially has very few.) Monologues about fear by the main character, etc. The Heroine in love with the main character is a prodigy in piano. Still in progress, I'm watching a fansub.
Somehow this led me to a Japanese Drama, called Orange Days. It's a drama, based around the lives of a group of friends in a University of sorts, all graduating in a few months. (Starting to see a pattern?) The Heroine lost her hearing 4 years ago, and her abilities as a musician are limited. She was a prodigy in violin. The Hero is studying psychology, wants to help people, etc. They're in love with each other. Monologues about regaining hope, etc. Heroine turns out to have a higher ability in piano, and she gets surgery for her hearing in the ending. The group of friends name their group the "Orange Society". Orange, because it represents their bittersweet youth. I have the whole thing in fansub.
A few days after I found this J-Drama, I had the second dream. Now, a bit about myself:
For pretty much this whole year so far, I've been having the feeling of emptiness and depression. (Well, I've had that for ages) I'm in Year 12 right now, next year I should be heading off to a university, but I have no motivation or energy to continue my studies. I'm still not sure what course to do in University, but I do want to learn Japanese. I feel like this all points me towards doing Music, and the Bachelor of Arts...? All of my subjects go toward Bachelor of Computer Engineering, as I'm also interested in Game Design. Should I work on the creative side of my brain, or the logical...?
More importantly, what is the meaning behind the second dream? This I may have to find myself, so even if you don't want to help me interpret the dream, I would like advice on how to follow these clues.
