Girl Keeps Appearing In My Dreams

THIS IS REALLY LONG AND IVE PUT HOURS EFFORT INTO THIS SO PLEASE READ AND HELP ME, I HAVE NO OTHER WAY OF FINDING OUT SO I CAME HERE AS A LAST RESORT. THANKS!

First of all I would like to say that this has been bugging me alot hence I joined this forum to get help. This isnt about one dream but about many dreams, so here is what this is all about. Ive been dating this girl for almost 8 months and we broke up almost 3 weeks ago. The first dream I had of her occured on december 22, 2006 and this was the 2nd week into our relationship. After that I have had so many dreams about this girl, I think about 20 dreams total and ive never had the same person appear in my dreams so many times. Now this is where I will get into details:

The first dream I had of her I dont remember much but it was about both of us being in the class and talking to each other and doing work, now im a shy guy but in my dreams I had no problem talking to her. I felt so happy in the dream, the events in that dream made me literally get closer to this girl and after that dream I totally fell in love with girl. Before that dream had occured, I was just dating her cause I felt sorry for her and didn't have any feelings for her but this dream changed it all, just after I woke up I had missed her so much and feelings for her developed inside of me and after that day those feelings kept getting stronger and stronger, thank you Dream #1!

Then after I had a few more dreams about her in the next few weeks but I don't really remember all the dreams I had about her so Ill only write the ones that I do. Dream #2 just involved me and her standing in the middle of nowhere (possibly on top of a mountain, but it wasnt cold at all, pretty warm) and all we did was hold hands and kiss and she wore pink clothes which I think was funny as both me and her mostly wear black (we arent emo or goth, we just think the color black looks good on us).

Dream #3 occured in my house while we were hosting a party, where me and her were hanging out and suddenly we have armed theives break into my house so me and her went in the basement and hid, after that I told her that I loved her & hugged/kissed her, I told her that everything will be okay and Ill take care of the situation and told her to stay in the basement as I approached going upstairs and taking out each their one by one using a baseball bat.

Dream #4 I dont recollect much but it involved me and her and my 2 cousins and all I remember was that we were hanging out in my house back in asia and I was holing her hand and kissing/hugging her.

Dreams #5,6,7 all occured in the same night, it was February 14th, 2007. In reality I was in asia as my grandfather had passed away and my girl was in canada. So this is what happened in dreams 5/6/7...they all occured in the same night, the first one was that me and her were in this classroom and she seemed really disappoined and started to cry so I held her and kissed her and then we walked away from the class and went outside, then my friend asked me for a dollar and I gave him one. As we continued walking in the halls I keep giving Hi-5's and saying 'hi' to all my friends and then we made our way outside and hold arms and that was the end of that dream. The next dream was that it was valentines day and since I wasnt there with her she seemed really disappointed and suddenly she was in my house in canada with my mom sitting on the dining table and then I told her that I love her and Im gonna spend the valentines day twice with her (once in the asia timezone & second in the western) and she seemed quite happy about it, she then saw my hand and looked at some mosquito bites and then kissed my hand to make it all better and we had dinner. The next dream (#7) was the first bad dream about her as it was that she and some of my family friends came up to me and called me a sellout and she brokeup with me, I felt really hurt so I went on top of my building and yelled her named and said 'i love you' and jumped down, she turned behind and had a smile on her face cause i told her that i loved her but as soon as she saw me fall of the building that smiled turned into something like this :o and the dream ended right before I could hit the ground and I didnt even know whether I lived or died or what happened. Now Ive felt so happy in all of these dreams except dream number 7 i was really hurt and upset. After that I did have many dreams about her but I dont recollect some and then yet again I had another bad dream.

Dream #8: I don't remember much details about this dream and this isnt actually the 8th dream, I just named it 8th and skipped the dreams before it cause I dont recollect. This dream involved my parents and my g/f. My g/f just left me like that without any notice or anything and I was hurt badly then the next thing I realize that both my parents were fighting and they both left me, I was hurt so bad that I started crying in my dream and when I woke I was already crying and that dream felt so so real! I talked to her about it and she said she would never leave me but just days later my g/f was raped and I kinda feel like that dream was coming true (although she wasnt raped in my dreams) but then I thought my parents are next to leave me. But things were fine as and my g/f was also fine and had recovered, my parents didnt leave me.

Dream #9 (FINAL DREAM): This isn't the final dream as I had a dream about her earlier today but I seriously dont remember anything, so this is the final dream that I remember about her. This dream occured just after we broke up around 2 weeks ago. All it was, it was my g/f sleeping in her room on her bed and I was sitting there beside her just watching her sleep and I felt so happy cause it was so beautiful that I was once again with her and close to her, but I woke up and that hurt so much as we had broken up and I couldnt be with her. She was wearing a pink shirt again just like the first dream and she was wearing shorts with her hair tied which is funny as she loves her hair open. I thought to myself why am I still getting dreams about her if we no longer co-exist?

Now I would to tell you all about myself, im 18 years old and will be turning 19 in september, Im a male and currently reside in Toronto, ON, Canada. Im living with my mom and my older sister, my dad doesnt live with us because he is working in asia but once his project is over he will be moving back to canada with us. We are a great family, no problems we are strong and happy. Now as for my g/f, she is very special girl, she is pretty much dead to her father and her dad is an asshole as he would bully and beat this girl, her dad doesnt live with her anymore. She was one older brother who is somewhat an ass and her mom is an alcoholic who dates men, she loves her daughter but just hasnt brought her up right, like she doesnt care if she goes ahead and smokes cigs or pot or gets drunk. But i put a stop to that, im a straight edge and im against that and she respected that and quit. She also currently has depression and anxiety issues but she is doing really good and im sure she will overcome them really soon. We are both shy and have similar tastes and also differences. I love her so much as you can see, id do anything for her. She isnt my 1st love, she is my second. What was weird was that back in 2003 I had a dream about a girl that i never knew and i was hugging her... months later that girl came in my life and we dated for more than a year but I only had 2 dreams of her. Where as with this girl Ive had so many dreams and even though we brokeup I still keep getting dreams of her, I don't know whats going on, why is this person appearing in my dreams over and over again? whats the deal? is this some sort of a sign or something? I would LOVE to get back with her and im really hurt that im not with her, but I need to know why these dreams? Ive never ever had so many dreams about one person. She acts the same way in my dreams as she would in reality, and so do I. All of my dreams have been romantic, except the 2 mentioned about which were bad. None of them involved any sexual activities. How do I feel about her? I love her and I don't think id be able to live without her. Ive dreamt (not dreams but kinda like goals) of growing up with her and marrying her, starting a family with her, having kids and a house and all sorta stuff, but now those dreams are broken and gone.

Another thing ive noticed is recently after we broke up ive been getting multiple dreams in one night, somtimes 4/5 and i cant even remember them cause there are so many. I dont get dreams every night but whenever I do now its mostly multiple dreams and sometimes they involve her. Im not saying that every dream that I have had in the past 8 months have involved this girl, im just saying that she has come in my dreams so many times and continues to do so even after the relationship is broken and dead and things have gone bad that it seems hopeless. I had another multiple dream this afternoon when I took a nap, I dont remember anything that happened but I remember that in one of those dreams I could feel her presence.

What bugs me most is now that we are no longer together I still keep getting dreams of her, so I dont know what to do. Sometimes I fear going to bed cause if i do dream about her i will be hurt as I miss her terribly. I don't need help with anyone telling me how to get her back or anything, I just want to know whats up with all these dreams? is it a sign or things to come? is my mind playing games with me? is it time for me to move on? or is it just nothing except a lousy dream with the same person reoccuring.

well dreams can mean lots of things. But if you are continually dreamning about the same person it rather suggest that they are on your mind and are a major part of your thoughts.

Dreams are very much in the here and now. The dream from last night will tend to link to new feelings and new conclusions within your mind. Say that byou were lying awake thinking about this former relationship the it could relate to that.

You probably love her or at least have a MASSIVE crush. I know awhile I went to my friends house and a girl I really liked was there (still do). She slept beside of me and I watched her sleep all night and couldn't go to sleep at all the whole night.

If you still like her and are having these dreams why not contact her at all? Get back together?

I think I can relate to what you’re saying. Cute chick from a broken home could use a white knight. You’re from a stable family willing to lend a helping hand and provide a lot of love and protection.

I have been there and done that myself when I was younger. Now I’m in my thirties and I can look back at those times with a little experience.

In my younger days I was infatuated with a girl from a household who had a much harder time then mine. It didn’t end well either. At the time I didn’t know what to think. Then later on, I began to believe it was all her fault. For a long time after the wounds healed I thought that she was just an unappreciative bitch.

Now when I think back I realize it was both our fault. You see: Good guys like bad girls and Good Girls like … etc. They provide a bit of excitement, and an edge that is both seductive and mysterious. However: Bad Girls don’t necessarily like nice guys, but they love to play with them.

I realize now that what I wanted out of that relationship was to be her shining knight and bring this fallen angel from the depths of her own abyss. I don’t believe that is what she ever wanted. I believe she wanted someone to corrupt, to validate her herself by dragging me down to her life of constant booze, pot and crappy music. I believe now that if she succeeded I would have been discarded anyways when she finished her game. Believing this, I still wouldn’t trade away those adventurous memories. Lets admit it, bad girls rock!

Based on what you wrote regarding yours and hers background, you might have been in a similar situation.

In dream #3, you protect her from outside invaders. Ok, feeling of protectiveness is cool and normal. In your other dreams, like the night you had multiple dreams in a row. You’re kissing and hugging her and the way you describe it almost made me gag about how ‘chick flick’ it all was. What is really interesting is how you expressed these dreams. You wrote in terms of “Your hugging and kissing her” not “She’s hugging and kissing you.”

Maybe your subconscious knew something all along that you weren’t willing to admit.

Then there’s dream number 8. Come on! You must have known things were going in the toilet for you to have these images! It’s normal to dream about rejection from everyone when you’re going through this stuff. Don’t worry, you’ll get over it.

You’re still young. Heart breaks suck, but they’re not the end of the world. These images will fade as the feelings do. If you want them to fade faster just find another girl. As soon as you start dating again you’ll feel better and after a few weeks you’ll wonder what the hell you ever saw in her.

vtek i might have made a mistake in typing. but usually in my dreams sometimes i would hug/kiss her and sometimes she would do that to me, or we'd both together, i was in a rush when i typed it out but i can see what you all are tying to say here.

i did try contacting her and getting back but she isnt sure and needs space, i dont know if we will get back or not, we dont even talk to each anymore, maybe a few times a week and if so then our conversations usually last only about 5 minutes.

on another note, i cant remember any of my recent dreams anymore due to getting multiple dreams. I just had one last night (after I posted here) and yet once again she showed up but I dont remember what happened, I feel it was a happy moment cause I felt happy. Another dream that I had involved a sports celebrity, i dont know why and it makes no sense. Its not like i choose to have these dreams of her, but she just keeps appearing in them again and I cant remember cause I keep getting multiple dreams. Its summer right now and my sleeping time usually is 4 or 5 am and i wake up at 12pm or sometimes 3pm. Ill go to bed tomorrow night at an earlier time perhaps 11pm and see if this happens again, then ill try the same for a week and see that if its my sleep time thats causing these dreams to occur but I dont think so cause ive been sleeping early in the previous months and still get dreams of her.

I still think the dreams just represent lingering feelings that you still have, and it sounds like your starting to heal. I recopmmend that you try to put your heart aside for a moment and ask yourself: "If we do get back together, is it likley this happen again in a few months? And am I willing to go through this crap all over again?"

it could probably happen but i can try to avoid it if we do get back. its just my nature that im overprotective to the people i love. as for the dreams they still keep coming and i cant control them
