      creepy

anyone able to figure this one out? :

(background: IRL, my father died a few years ago, my mother is elderly & lives in same house they lived in for many years, I'm in a different state & hadn't seen either of them in a few years, but used to live next door to them)

in the dream, they were both sitting in their usual chairs...I opened their refrigerator & looked inside, & saw a few items that I'd opened but not eaten all of- a SaraLee type of cream cake, a box of chocolates, and maybe a half-dozen or so other items. I took them out of the refrigerator, began putting them on the nearby kitchen countertop, telling my parents "I think I should finish them so they don't spoil." I also made some reference to my upcoming birthday (IRL it was a few weeks ago).

I got 2 feelings upon waking from this dream: first, just along the line of basic 'unfinished business' (in life),
but also that when I'd originally 'opened' the items in the dream, I hadn't 'eaten everything' because I'd wished to 'share them with others so others could enjoy them too,' but that no one had wanted any so they just stayed there.

I rarely have dreams (or rarely remember them); when I do they're usually very short, fragments, nothing that seems to make any sense. this one seemed more focused than most. I hope it's not telling me I'm gonna die soon, and/or living on borrowed time...
I'm the person who had the precog dream a couple of weeks ago that I posted about here, & haven't gotten much sleep since.

      input anyone...please?

      Hi Silverrose

I have a few questions for you. Firstly, are you close with your mother now contact wise? Good relations and what frequency do you chat with her? Also were you on good terms with your father.

Secondly, in this dream you didn't open the items from the fridge correct? You just new in your dream that you had opened them on a previous occasion?

Next, what was your take on your parents in the room? Did you not want to offer them any of the food items or did they not want any?

And finally, you said they were sitting in their usual chairs. Do you have anymore details. Were they slepping, happy, sad? Were they ignoring you. Were they rocking chairs? You need some more details here to interpret accurately please.

As far as you dying? I think you are over-reacting. I don't see any deep negative overtones in this dream or any symbols or signs suggesting a death element. Of course as a disclaimer I would add that anytime you have something funny going on with your body, of course you should have it looked at as soon as possible right?

Give some more details and I'll check back tomorrow and let you know what I think. In the mean time, Breath in.......Breath out......

no biggies either way- we write back & forth regularly, & I call her occasionally. Also were you on good terms with your father.
      yes, quite well.

yes- in the dream I was taking them out & putting them on the countertop, planning to eat more of the items

Next, what was your take on your parents in the room? Did you not want to offer them any of the food items or did they not want any?
if I recall correctly, they'd had dinner & didn't want anything else at the time.

And finally, you said they were sitting in their usual chairs. Do you have anymore details. Were they slepping, happy, sad? Were they ignoring you.
they were sitting there chatting to each other & to me- not really any different than it used to be in real life. Were they rocking chairs?
no, he had one of those recliner-type chairs & hers was just a basic livingroom chair. You need some more details here to interpret accurately please.

      Hi,

It feels like you've pinned it down yourself when you say "unfinished business." You've just had a birthday, so it feels like that made you a little introspective as to what you've done and accomplished with your life so far. The bit about wanting to share... well, we all want someone to share our lives with. Are you currently single and feeling a bit lonely or sad about that, or maybe still looking for a soulmate?

If you have recently been on a diet, this dream probably just means that you are hungry. Otherwise, here's my interpretation. The things you were taking out of the fridge were sweet and feminine type deserts: cream pie and chocolates. Perhaps the aspects of yourself that you wish to give to others are the more traditionally female ones: Kindness, nurturing, affection. I could see it meaning either that you are afraid that your friends and family don't need you or as an unconcious desire to either become a mother, or become a better mother.

I'm completely lousy at dream interpretation but I thought I'd have a shot.
