Spiritual Gathering Site
I dreamt of a religious gathering site. There were two buildings. The first one was where all the visitors entered. The older one was hidden, from the ages. It blended in with the environment of statues and a fountain. I saw a face like enscription on the older building.
As I approached, I noticed a place for a key and knew it would open. Instead of looking for a key, I tried to open it and succeeded. The face became a platform with a childs hand imprinted, which meant that is where I should place my hand. There was an inscription on the back...something about tithing for your prayer. I knew that whatever I prayed would come true, due to this ancient culture.
I walked around a bit, before I prayed. I saw the newer building enscribed by mostly consonants and could not read what it said. I asked a nearby person what kind of church this was and she told me, but I could not repeat it. It started with C or K and was long. I wanted to ask her more, but she seemed irritated by my presence; so, I left.
Then I saw people coming out of the older building, they seemed happy. The people all had olive skin. They did not notice me. The visitors were talking about how foolish this all was and that there was no truth to their belief. I knew that was false. I knew that once people stopped believing, that was when they would not be able to follow this ancient path. I then spoke with my spirit and knew what I needed most in my life right now and asked for that, as I placed my hand on the childs imprint.
What do you think this dream might mean?

The two buildings will be parts of your unconscious. One part seems to be more "available" than the other, although the more hidden one seemed to be the most ancient and unaffected by time. It sounds to me like you have two parts to you - one for people to see and one you keep hidden.
The child again suggests that the old building is an old part of you. The idea of your dreams/prayers coming true also sounds like a child's fantasy of life as does not being able to understand complicated words.
So you have accessed a part of your unconscious preserved from childhood. It contains a child's wonder and hope, contrasted with the cynicism and shallowness of the (adult) visitors - possibly a cynicism you find easier to accept yourself. But as a child the hope and wonder was believed and I think that's what your dream is telling you you need right now. "Follow your dreams" as the cliché often goes.

Thank-you :)
Recently, I have been reassessing my personal direction and have been given renewed hope to follow an old dream. I like your interpretation.
