Kidnapped??... but turns into something else...
So I had this really weird dream last night... and when I woke up I realized that I'd had it once or twice before
sorry this is so long but it was really detailed and its just weird that i would have this odd dream more than once
So in my dream...
I'm sleeping in 'my bed' but its not my real house and a man (well almost a boy... he was like 20 not much older than me) roughly wakes me up and i'm afraid, I say "who are you?! what do you want?" and he says you... your coming with me. I try to yell but he puts his hand over my mouth and says now dont try anything stupid. I say... "but where... where are we going?" and he laughs and says you'll see. but we're not leaving yet. we might as well get a few hours of sleep before we go. I try to make a run for the door to go get my parents and he grabs my arm and says, now, I told you not to try anything stupid. he's not being rough, but i'm still afraid. he pulls me to the bed and lays down, and he says, now just go to sleep. and makes me lie down. I pretend to fall asleep and lie very still and soon he falls asleep. after about an hour I slowly pull his arm from over me and slowly climb out of bed. as soon as i'm out of the room I make a run for my parents room. somehow even though I dont know the house that well in the dream I run straight to their room and to their bed and throw back the covers and... no ones there. shit. so I run out the door and to another room hoping someone in my family will be in there sleeping and go to their bed and no ones there again! I feel very abandoned... thinking of course no one would be here when I really need them. and i'm angry at them. I run out thinking no ones in the house but then I realize theres one more bedroom. I run in their and to the bed and pull back the covers, sure no one will be there but then I see my older brother there sleeping ( I dont actually have a brother) I shake him and wake him up and say theres a man in my room, he wants me to go with him hes trying to take me, you have to find mom and dad... and then in the doorway theres the man saying " I told you not to try anything stupid" and my brother grabs my hand and squeezes it but he doesn't look like he knows what to do, he says "you cant take her, thats my sister!" and the man just laughs and grabs my hand and pulls me out of the room and out of the house. we start walking, but the winds are terrible and it looks like a bad storms coming. I'm scared... "where are you taking me?!" and he just says again, "you'll see" and he flips on a radio and hears reports of a hurricane coming that is predicted to destroy the city i live in. Suddenly he looks worried... we have to get out of here... out of the country. or we'll die. I say... I can't leave, I cant leave my family, i can't leave the country without them knowing, and i'm crying. and he looks at me and says, well, do you want to die then? in my dream i know that i'm 'home' but i'm not exactly sure where that is... what country we're in. he grabs my arm and starts pulling me and walking fast and says "we're going to to the border" it starts raining hard and hailing and the winds start howling and he gives me his big coat. He gets on his phone and is talking to someone and I hear him say, "they're trying to trap us in here. kill us all. we have to make it there before they come and block the way, block the border." and then I know that its not just the storm we have to be afraid of. suddenly theres other people walking, walking the same place we are. the roads are crowded, people are trying to drive to the border, but it seems someone has the roads blocked off. a man in some kind've uniform comes up behind us and tries to pull me away me from the man im with but hes still holding my arm tight and wont let go and then another uniform comes up behind him and tries to hit him and he turns around and knocks him out and then he does the same with my attacker. we have to go. he says, he notices i'm afraid and says its okay... its okay we'll make it. "whats going on, I ask" he's silent and finally says... theres a portion of the government that is very corrupt. they knew the storm was coming. they didn't want us to be warned... thats why its so late. they've blocked off the roads and the only way to escape is to walk through these forests and they've got agents out here trying to stop us from leaving. but its not going to work with us. we'll get out. we have to" men in uniform come up behind us again and again, and again and again my kidnapper saves me from them. it takes almost a full day to get there, and by then we're almost friends, I know that he'll keep me safe and that his intentions are not to hurt me, and that i'm indebted to him for saving my life. we can see the border not too far, with a HUGE wall that cannot be climbed, but there is agents from the country across checking passports and inspecting luggage and we know that once we're in view of the police and government on the other side, the agents of our corrupt governent will not be able to stop us. so we run towards the border. we get there in line and we're near the front when we hear someone behind us announce, we've near met our quota of refugees, we've already greatly offended your government letting so many in, they want you to stay behind and take care of your homes. only about 200 more will be admitted, to total 1000. so we know that we were just in time. we have to go through an admittance gate where we are inspected have to walk through these flashing red laser metal detectors to make sure we're not carrying weapons and our bags are searched. i look back at my country and see a storm ripping the landscape apart... its pretty flooded. we have to stand in this tunnel for a few hours in line and when we get through I see about a 100 feet of flooded and destroyed landscape on this side, but its only a ditch, across the way everything looks normal. we start walking around the city, where people are going about their normal business, when only a few miles away a country has just been destroyed and people killed. we're there for a few days wandering when we start hearing over the loudspeaker, "All refugees must begin returning to the border, we have let you in to escape the storm, but you now must return to your own country. you now have 4 hours and 59 minutes to do so. or you will be found. My kidnapper/savior/friend now gets on his phone and i hear him say... "yeah they're angry that they let us through. they've threatened with war if we aren't forced to return. but if we do, we will die. theres no food... no water." He hangs up and sees my face, and says come on... this way... dont run. we want to blend with the citizens. we'll escape through this forest and come out within the city. I ask him how he has so much information... how he knows so much. and he doesn't answer. I look behind us and see government agents herding my countries citizens back in lines by the border. he says come on LETS GO! and we start walking up a hill towards the forest. finally he answers... "i was a part of the goverment in -----. i knew what they were planning was very wrong. I knew i had to escape." i'm still not understanding why he took me with him... but by now i no longer think of him as my kidnapper, i love him and hes saved my life multiple times, hes my best friend.
we finally come out in a busy part of the city where theres tv screens in stores announcing, most of the refugees have returned to ----, this part of the island is clear. but there are still a few remaining. and they show a map of the city with grey dots representing all the people... and a handful of bleeping white dots. "shit thats us he says, and i realize hes right, theres two dots standing exactly where we're standing." he looks worried and we start walking into a busy mall where its very crowded and hot. theres another news screen where i realize our dots have greatly faded... they almost look grey. i say... its the body heat. they cant see us if our body heat blends with those of citizens. he looks amazed... your right. lets go! and he pulls me towards the door and we walk through the city and go into a gym. we put our stuff down and he says run! and we start running around the track trying to work up a sweat. he goes down to the weights and im running when a uniformed agent stops me. and calls me by name... are you ms -----? i say umm no. and he replies with yes you are. we've been searching for you everywhere. i just want you to know that you are allowed to stay. you have family here. your mothers sister lives here and has an apartment and they'd like you to contact them as soon as you can. and he gives me an address and phone number. im shocked and i walk back to our stuff when i see that my companions things are GONE. i run out the gym doors and see him fading into a crowd. wait WAIT! i scream after him. but he doesn't stop. i run after him... and search for hours when i finally see him again in the mall. Why did you leave me i yell? and he answers angrily... i didn't know you were a TRAITOR. i saw you talking to that agent. were you going to turn me in? and i say NO! they told me my family made it here... i can stay. if we go to them, we can figure out a way for you to stay too!
we go to my aunts apartment... and my father opens the door, I see him my mother my sister and my brother sitting inside. he lets me in but when my friend tries to walk in and says oh no you dont. we're calling the police. you kidnapped our daughter! what the hell do you think your doing here? and i say no... dad... he saved me! he saved my life. so many times. my brother looks at a loss for words and so does my dad... but but but he took you! my brother yells. "yeah he did... but he was trying to save me" i answer. my friend... who ive by now fallen in love with and trust more than anyone looks very uncomfortable. but i finally convince my family to let him in... and now i know that everythings going to be okay. all the danger and the fear of the last few days is over... my families safe, my best friend and i are safe.
