      Gyeren's dreams - suggestions welcome.

It's been forever since I've been here, but I had a dream the other night I wanted to get suggestions on.

I was at a church building where there was a double wedding that was taking place. I had my kids with me, but not my husband. We entered the area the wedding was taking place, and my oldest boy started walking toward the front, where the 'wedding people' sat. I called him, and he came back. Then my 3-year-old walked down the center of the room and sat in a chair with the wedding people. I put the baby carrier with my daughter in it down and went after the 3-year-old. I led him by the hand back down the isle to the doors, and my older one walked along an isle along the wall to the left. He got up on the stand and sat down in a chair that was a bit hidden from the congregation. I went to get him back, and one of the brides told me the kids were okay, and we were invited to the wedding dinner after the ceremony. I didn't know any of the people besides my own children. Also, when I left the boys, their white shirts and dark pants they were wearing turned into a white and a pink fluffy dress. The white one on the 6-year-old, pink on the 3-year-old.

I went back out of the room, leaving my boys on the stand and my baby near the opposite door of the room. I pulled out my cell phone to call my husband and let him know we were going to be at the wedding supper and not to worry. As I was talking to him, I watched through the door as a man wearing a red shirt and a reddish-brown tie and light brown pants picked up my baby. At first, he was entertaining her, but I was nervous as I watched him. Someone was starting to close the door I stood out of, but I insisted on watching the man with my baby. Then, his expression changed and he went out the opposite door with her.

I pushed my way through the doors and caught up with him. I told him that was my baby and to give her back. He wasn't going to. I gently grabbed her arm and told the man that if he didn't give her back, I would punch him. He still refused, and I started hitting him until he let go of my baby. I, of course, held her close now that I had her back, and after a few seconds, I decided to call 9-1-1 and report an attempted kidnaping so the police could get the guy.

I got through to a 9-1-1 operator immediately, but she could not understand what I was trying to tell her. I kept trying and trying to tell her where I was, and that someone had tried to take my baby, but nothing worked to get her to understand. As I went outside to describe where the church was, there was a lady in a special wheel chair that rolled into a near-by canal. As I was already on the phone with 9-1-1, I told the operator what had just happened, and I ran along the side of the canal with the current. I didn't see the lady in the chair in the water, but I knew she was being carried with the current. I followed it a few blocks away from the church and another lady dove into the canal and brought the first one out. She lay her down on the ground, and I tilted her head to open the airway. I still had 9-1-1 on the phone, and I looked at street signs to find out where I was, but the signs kept changing and it confused me. I finally decided what street numbers to tell the operator, and turned back to where the lady lay, and she was gone.

      I woke up shortly after.

I know that life events can affect dreams, and I've been through a lot lately.
      1) my husband was arrested because someone thought they saw him hit me, which he did not do. I had to go 4 days without him, and if it wasn't for my kids, and me having to take care of them, I know I would not have taken care of myself. That happened in August, but we're still feeling the effects of it.

      2) worry about someone taking away my kids because of #1, or some other reason (I do the best I know how to with them and there's really no reason anyone should remove them from me.)

      3) my husband lost one job, and just started another that the shift is 10:00 pm until 7:00 am. We're still adjusting to that, he's only started a few days ago.

      4) on this last Saturday, we held a funeral for my husband's father, who we have been living with along with his mother and sister. That's been a tough time. Durring the funeral, my mom and sister watched my baby, while my two boys and their cousins that are around the same age walked with Grandma and sat with her.

I recognize that these things, particuarly #4 could be contributing to the dream, and that the difficulty in getting a good address is because of it being a dream. I'm just wondering what others would have to comment about it. Suggestions? Ideas?

      <edit>
I just remembered something about the night of Joe's death and a correlation in my dream. Before he died, I had gone to bed with my husband and was just about asleep when his mom called down that Joe was dying. My husband got up immediately, and I knew I had to get up early for work, so I stayed in bed a bit longer, but something told me I had to go upstairs too. When I got there, I was glad to see the kids asleep, but Joe wasn't breathing well. My husband and I got him up on his bed, and when we lay him back down, I kept my hand behind his head to help keep the airway clear. The drowning lady in the dream had the same sort of look on her face that Joe did while laying on his bed. The ambulance got him to the hospital where he died about 4 or 5 hours later, but that just came to mind.

Doesn't anyone have any comments about this dream of mine?

A bit stuffed for time just now, and it is rather a lot of text - which probably put people off. Will look when I have more time.

Since my last post, I've actually found a website that helps interpret different things in the dreams. I appreciate it though.

I'd put in as much as I could remember, and the dream was a bit long and detailed, though I've got longer dream journal entries. Sorry if it is so long. Perhaps I should have put in the dream about me getting milk for my family instead. That one was very short. It was basically me getting 4 glasses of milk for my family and my youngest boy refusing his milk.

Yes, that's quite a bit shorter.

And what does milk mean? If I were to guess it's connected with nurture. And your family will be your "inner family" - the parts of you that resonate with your idea of a family. Sounds like you're nurturing or need to nurture your inner child(ren), especially the stubborn one. Think about how it felt for the youngest to refuse his milk? What disappointment/hurt did it set off in you? What does "he" need?

Him refusing the milk is actually typical. Sometimes in life, he appears to ask for milk, I get it for him, and he refuses it. I feel as though I am the primary caregiver for my family, including my husband. In the milk dream, once my little one refused the milk, my husband offered to drink it. In real life, he can't have milk, which I reminded him in the dream.

Perhaps it could indicate that Scotty (my little boy) is wanting to be independant and not accept my nurturing and help. He is a very independant 3-year-old. Meanwhile, my husband is wanting more nurturing from me that I'm not providing to him. Thoughts?

What happens in real life is in real life. The question is, why is it appearing in your dream? The real life scene resonates with you somehow. Perhaps you need to be needed, or something like that.

It could very well be. I don't have time to say much else right now, but I do like to be needed, but also like time to myself.
