Exclamation My friend gave birth to a foal!

Hello everyone! About eighteen months ago one of my friends told me about a dream she’d just had that she’s never really been able to live down. I find it quite/very amusing, but I would love to know what it means.
So I asked her to describe the dream to me again: She told me that the dream wasn’t very long, and that it took place in a paddock down the street from her house. In the dream she was on an enormous concrete altar in the paddock that was surrounded by people just talking to one another. She was pregnant in the dream, and was expecting to give birth very soon to a child. She was feeling anxious and scared about her pregnancy and the birth of her child. She was listening to the people around her talking and then a small grey foal that she thought was really cute appeared before her in the paddock. The people around her were like, “This is your child,” and she realised she wasn’t pregnant anymore. She felt really pleased at this point and she somehow knew that the foal was in fact her child and that she had given life to it. There was no actual ‘birthing’ scene I don’t believe.
The foal frolicked a bit, nickering, and that was the end of the dream.

She would have been about sixteen and a half when she had this dream. She really likes animals, although I don’t think she’s too keen on babies and I don’t think she considers herself to have a particularly maternal personality.

If any of you could suggest any interpretations of what the dream may mean that would be great. I don’t have any idea about this kind of stuff but am really interested, so any ideas would be brilliant. =]

It probably relates to some kind of new beginning that is sybolised as a horse (strong? loyal?). Dreams are best analysed through a dialogue of some kind, so it would be better if your friend posted here directly.
