I killed 2 Panthers...

Sounds like you had to do it. Also, I notice the contrast of the white snow and the black beast. The beast was a black panther. Why? It's a fast, intelligent, impressive cat-like animal. What kind of blackness (badness?) would that represent to you?

The panther sounds like an aggressive part of you that you associate with badness (or whatever blackness means to you). Whereas you the conscious person feels you need to protect other parts of you (the three friends) from this badness. This must be something you do anyway, as your dream starts with the knowledge that you've killed a beast.

I don't think it's helpful to think in terms of good or bad. Just to be aware of what this dream is saying about you and how you defend yourself (and perhaps others) against "blackness".
