Thread: Interpreting my dream I am a man who gives birth and they throw the baby away

I am a guy and I continue to have this dream. I would say at least three or four times over the past two years. In my dream i am still a man and I am pregnant. It starts with me going to the hospital to give birth. I feel scared. I am then in the delivery room surrounded by all of these doctors that I have never met. The room feel sort of industrial. Its green tile from floor to ceiling and there are lots of instruments everywhere. I remember feeling as though this was not a good situation. The doctors were not talking to me and no one seemed happy that soon I would bring a new life into the world. I could feel the pain of birthing a child (although I have no idea where the baby would come out). The doctor pulls the baby out of me with a pair large forceps. The baby is bloody and starts to cry. The doctor throws the baby into the trash can next to my bed. He then tells me that I must now go and tell everyone I know what has happened... that they threw my baby in the garbage. The rest of the dream I am walking around sort of hysterical trying to find the people I know what happened at the hospital.

Can anyone help me interpret this dream. At first I didn't think much about it, but now that I have had it several times it has me very curious. Each dream starts the same way the only thing that changes are the people that I have to tell the story to. Thanks for any help you can offer.

Suggests to me a feeling of not being in control, with powerful people preventing you from a new birth - perhaps a new start in life. These "people" are a part of you - they don't really exist (although you probably felt that they did as an infant). How does it feel in real life to stand up to "them"?
