Wedding, lost, and killed. (hectic dream)

Hello, Im new here but I really wanted to ask if someone can help me interpret this dream. I'm usually pretty good with interpretating my own dreams. But this one kind of had me at a loss because SO many things were happening in it. I have a dream interpreter book but it really doesnt help on this one. The only part in the dream I can really understand is the bridge part.

Here it is:

I was driving with my mom in our SUV, down a small town high way. There were other cars on it, so it wasnt just us. It was day light then. We passed over this huge bridge, into a large city (like New york style) and it was evening, the lights on the buildings were on and everything. My mom got out and left, saying to come get her after. I got out to go for a walk, and ended up going to the docks. I had to go across a small, old dock. One where the planks were creaky and spread apart so that I could easily see through the cracks. I wobbled and such trying to pass over them to get back to my car. My mom wasnt their, and for some reason i got in and left anyway. Passing over the bridge and it was once again daylight when I entered the "country" side of the bridge.

I kept going around in circles, I didnt know where I was going, I was lost. And I didnt know where my mom was. I called her and she didnt answer, so I kept driving, but kept passing the same land marks. I fianlly got impatient and veered off to a side road, and after a second, ended up coming to a small building. A couple cars were in it, so I drove in. It quickly became dark so I locked the doors and fell asleep. While I was asleep, I had a dream that someone was going to die tomorrow. And I had a image of the event in my head. (Of a sillouette[bad spelling, sorry] of a man holding a gun. Opening a door and shooting.)

The next morning I woke up and got out of the car. There was a large wedding going on in the building. And this girl (about my age) came to ask me what was the matter, I told her that something bad was going to happen, and I was lost and trying to find my mom. She said she had a bad feeling about it this morning too. And then we heard gun shots and everyone was scattering. She told me to get in her car, so I did. But the door wouldnt shut tightly. I remember panicing, and her yelling at me to close it as she backed out of the parking space. As soon as she wipped the wheel to turn the car sharply. The loose door swung open and a man came up with a gun, aimed, and shot me.

(Now, instead of seeing through my eyes I had a over view of everything)

The man walked away, like it was nothing to him. He started to walk into some water, the water got deeper and deeper. When it was up to his waist it turned into blood, and he submerged himself into it. Then the dream skipped ahead to the next day, the man was in a old warehouse. And I was walking down the halls, because my spirit wanted revenge. (Now it shifts back to first person view). I was torturing him, rattling chains, breathing down his neck. And he couldnt see me. But finally, when I got so mad, he was able to see me. And I told him that I hoped he died so slowly and felt everything. Then suddenly the dripping water in the warehouse turned to blood, and a black like spider web started emmerging on the wall beside him and me. A demon came from me, (like a spider) and began to devour him.

I heard the door open behind me, and the girl from earlier stood and looked towards the body, the spider not apparant to them. But obviously I was able to be seen by them, even thoguh i was supposed to be dead. She asked if I was the one who killed him, and I stayed silent. Then my mother showed up, asked if I killed the man, and I nodded my head. They both exchanged looks, and then they walked away. And I walked behind them. The dream cut off after that.

So if anyone could help me on this dream, that would be great. I've got a few ideas on certain parts, but draw a blank on others.:eek:

Well dreams may seem bizaree and have no link at all whate ver to reality. yet in some srange wway they symbolise our very thoughts. In real life we have little discussions and conversations with ourselves. Maybe your dream links to the following themes.
"I really do think something bad could happen"
"Those fears are real"
"yet on the other hand others keep telling me that it is completely in my own head"
"I just get to a certain point and then these fears start to fill my head"
In rea life this type of dialogue will be shaped around some very real issue... it will be something which I cannot possibly imagine though and may even just be paranoias... about nothing real at all. So I cannot guess the exact trigger.

hey there! nice to see someone else dreaming at length! that's cool. anyway, here's an attempt at the dream.I believe this dream is talking about you being in a place of looking at the bigger picture of your life, specifically in the area of relationships. It talks of past relationships that haven’t quite worked, and your impatience to pursue one now. The dream is saying that without waiting for appropriate guidance and help, you will be lost and find yourself in a difficult situation, that will lead to a side of you emerging that is neither healthy nor ‘you’!!! Yet there is guidance and help on the other side.

In yet another take on your dream, it feels like there is some transition facing you that you are afraid of. It feels almost like this is some change in your mother's life - like maybe a new relationship or job that would force her to move or something - that would affect you as well.

The cars and all the driving seems very much to reflect a feeling of motion, that things are in transit in your life. Driving into the dark seems to represent clouded emotions; the water around the docks as well is also often symbolic of emotion. It seems telling that you are trying not to face your emotions; working so hard not to fall off the wobbly docks, to not let the waters of your heart touch you; likewise in the dark you can't see your heart. Your mother's absence after this seems to indicate that part of what you may not want to face would be a fear of estrangement or abandonment with your mom.

You get in the car and drive again - running away from these emotions? When you finally stop and sleep -- well, a "dream within a dream" is generally considered something your subconscious finds so delicate, so prickly, that even dreaming it is not removed enough from it. You make yourself even safer from it by making it a dream in a dream.

Bullets are often symbols of a message. Is there some news you are dreading that this man will "shoot you with?" Death often means change in a dream - the end of one cycle and the beginning of the next. So it seems that this news or the receipt of this message will force you into some change against your will. Could it be the change that is looming for your mother as it will affect you? Again, perhaps something that would cause you to feel you had somehow lost your mother or become detached from her?

Weddings are also usually symbolic of transition; or perhaps of a looming commitment. This really seems to be a recurring theme in your dream, this fear of some imminent change. Could it perhaps be narrowed down by being something that involves a commitment, not necessarily matrimonial, but by signing some sort of contract or even taking on a big project or something.

When the dream changes to an overview and the man goes into the water - again, water generally represents emotion. Blood can signify emotion as well; love or passion, but also disappointment. Could it be that you sleeping mind is trying to extrapolate what will happen after this change; what you'd be feeling? The fact that you're a ghost seems to indicate that you feel helpless against this change; and your rage and vengeneace seem to reflect what you are actually feeling about it.

Warehouses are places to store things; maybe memories or hidden resources. It feels almost like in coming to the warehouse the man (messenger?) has come into your place of power. Here, the spider appears. It's presence is a little hard to work out. Seeing a spider in a dream can often indicate feeling like an outsider, and there certainly seem to be echoes of that. Spiders can also indicate a feeling of being entangled or trapped in a sticky or clingy relationship. It represents some ensnaring and controlling force. You may feel that someone or some situation is sucking the life right out of you. But spiders can also refer to a powerful force protecting you against self-destructive behavior. The spider seems to have both negative and positive elements; it's scary, but in the end it kills the man for you.

Your reluctance to admit you killed the man, and finally 'fessing up to your mother, seems to imply that you feel like, even if you did something to avert this situation, it wouldn't make your mother happy with you. Perhaps there is a sense trying to avert whatever change (and again it feels like a change for her that will also change your life) on behalf of your mom will disappoint her so much that you will lose her anyway (she walks away).

So, in summary, it looks like your subconscious mind is trying to reconcile you with an upcoming transition and to put you in touch with emotions on the subject that you are avoiding.
