      bowels open in dream

This is embarrassing but here goes -

I had a dream that i was having my bowel open in a public toilet and the woman in the cubicle next to me could see me.

Then the woman went to wash her hands and my door was wide open while i was doing my business and she was talking to me. She was talking about animal cruelty?

What could this mean - a little about me i lost my job two weeks ago.

Yes its poriobably got something to do with you losing your job. Going to the toilet is an extremely private act. You do not want anyone prying on such things. Toilet (public)dreams tend to link to the following sorts of emotions

"I feel really down about this. I am openly frustrated - everything is out there in the opmne. Embarassing personal feelings laid bare for all to see. I feel very vulnerable and humilated. "

Inb other words you are doing something in public that you would rather not do

Dreams deal with extremes. If you truly understood the meaning of your dream it may be quite negative. We are our own worst judge. We try to detect signals coming from other people. Do people feel we are not cool or incompetent? The dream mind is often very harsh and honest. It tells us things that we do not like to admit to ourselves. It tells us things that we fear. Its worries about how others are seeing us. It’s a big harsh dose of reality.
Yet the dream mind also heads in the other direction. It captures our fantasies and positive feelings. Sometimes you wake up in a positive mood and feel that you are going to tackle a task in a particular way. You are invigorated and positive. Dreams then help motivate us. But often if we go too far in one direction our dreams tell us to cool down and not get carried away. This makes sense really. The dream mind then explores feelings connected with our judgment. We need to motivate ourselves but we also need to be realistic.

Having a bowel movement can be viewed simply as representing the idea of “giving a sh*t”, that is, expressing some concern in a situation.

Sitting on a toilet can imply being in a position of shame, one that can cause some embarrassment. Yet where the door is open (my door was wide open) it would indicate there is no need to feel any shame. (This would seem confirmed in your dream because while you appear to sense some shame in your being visible to others position, no move is made to close the door.)

The woman represents an emotional aspect of yourself. Using an emotional perspective you have, you can feel that there is no wrong doing on your part while being “seemingly” in a shameful position. (the woman went to wash her hands) [This could easily relate to losing your job.] A feeling that acknowledges no wrong doing speaks to you, that is, it addresses your needs or concern. (she was talking to me)

On a more rational or conscious emotional level (represented by a woman) you might question whether your instinctive emotional nature (represented by animals) has been subjected to cruelty or abuse. [Have you been telling yourself that you are to blame for losing the job while knowing at a subconscious level that this is not so?]
